My Dear Prime Minister Modi ji,
Namaskar.
It is heartening to note that you as PM of our democratic-secular state have underlined the great diversities in the Indian nation which needed to be celebrated. While addressing a conference on 'Islamic Heritage: Promoting Understanding and Moderation' in the presence of the King of Jordan, Abdullah II in Delhi on March 1, 2018 you were kind enough to declare that India's democracy was "a celebration of our age-old plurality" recalling that "religions and beliefs from all over the world" flourished in the country. It was great to hear you to commit that "We Indians are proud of our diversity." While specially addressing the Muslim youth of India you were kind enough to advise them to hold Quran in one hand and computer in the other for an all-inclusive progress and welfare. However, I would beg to say that this call for Quran or any other scripture in one hand is a risky proposition. The US taught Afghan youth Quran in one hand and AK47 in other hand and what price Afghan Muslims paid for it is well known.

RSS and its off springs are master conspirators. In fact, RSS as fountain head of the Hindutva politics is a gurukul of teaching the art of how to conspire and where to execute the conspiracies. It thrives by hatching conspiracies to undermine truth and destroy its adversaries. RSS like any other fascist organization relies on intrigues and it is through conspiracies that it attempts to legitimize its nefarious agenda. The purpose is to turn victims into perpetrators.
The latest expose has come from Kerala. A leading English daily, The Indian Express wrote: “In what could be a major embarrassment for the BJP, a Yuva Morcha [youth wing of the RSS] leader apparently condemned a petrol bomb attack on the party’s Thiruvananthapuram office on the social media hours before the actual incident took place, triggering speculation that the attack was planned and executed by the saffron party itself.”  The Yuva Morcha leader Jayadev Hareendran Nair, a top RSS functionary in Kerala had put out three Facebook posts on Wednesday (June 7 at 8.01 am, 5.01 pm and 6.31 pm) condemning the attack on the BJP office where as the actual ‘attack’ took place between 8.30 pm and 9 pm.

ON THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INDIAN AND HINDU NATIONALISM
Indian nationalism and Hindu nationalism are two different things. While the former is unconcerned with a person‟s religious or cultural identity, the latter imagines the nation as an exclusive community of Hindus. From the time of Independence till now, this distinction has never been in doubt.
But today there is a move by flag-bearers of Hindu nationalism to equate it with Indian nationalism. What exactly is the provenance of these two nationalist ideologies? Who were their earliest proponents? What role did either play in India‟s freedom struggle? These are some of the questions that author and dramatist Shamsul Islam dwells on in Hindu Nationalism and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh , a fine primer on the history and dynamics of Hindu nationalism.
Islam cites extensively from the works of historians and thinkers who themselves are part of the Hindu nationalist canon, such as R.C. Majumdar and V.D. Savarkar, to interrogate many of its claims. For instance, he shows how Majumdar contradicts the Hindu nationalist claim of India being a „primordial nation‟, given the historian‟s observation that the idea of India “had no application to actual politics till the sixties or the seventies of the nineteenth century.”
Indian nationalism was born in opposition to British colonial oppression. Its most significant moment of resistance was the 1857 mutiny, in which Hindus and Muslims battled together against foreign rule. Islam cites Thomas Lowe, a British army commander, who observed that “the cow-killer and the cow-worshipper, the pig-hater and the pig-eater” fought together.
But this nascent Indian nationalism that was composite in nature underwent a process of bifurcation in the “third quarter of the nineteenth century”, notes Islam. Two things played a role in this: a „divide and rule‟ policy adopted by the British, and the bickering between the elites of the two communities “for securing a favourable place in the eyes of the victor”. Together they created a “scenario in which only competitive Hindu and Muslim varieties of nationalism could flourish.”
Islam‟s book also raises interesting questions: If Indian civilisation is more than 3,500 years old, why is it that only a period of 500 years (the period of so-called Muslim rule) is closely scrutinised by Hindu nationalists? What about the period before?
It might be interesting to read Islam‟s book alongside his primary sources: V.D. Savarkar‟s The Indian War of Independence of 1857 and R.C. Majumdar‟s Three Phases of India’s Struggle for Freedom.

Preparation for a genocide under way in India: Dr. Gregory Stanton
Internationally acclaimed expert raises concerns about possible mass extermination of Muslims while briefing US Congress on situation in Kashmir and Assam.

Dr. Gregory Stanton, founder of Genocide Watch, addressed an audience of Congressional and Government officials at a briefing titled Ground Reports on Kashmir and NRC in Washington D.C on December 12 where he said, “Preparation for a genocide is definitely under way in India.” He said that persecution of Muslims in Assam and Kashmir “is the stage just before genocide,” adding, “The next stage is extermination — that’s what we call a genocide.”
Dr. Stanton created the world-famous “Ten Stages of Genocide” as a presentation to the U.S. Department of State when he worked there in 1996. According to Dr. Stanton, the ten stages of genocide are as follows:
• The first stage was “classification” of “us versus them”.
• The second stage, “symbolization”, named the victims as “foreigner”.
• The third stage, “discrimination”, “classified [the victims] out of the group accepted for citizenship” so that they had no “human rights or civil rights of citizens” and were “discriminated against legally”.
• The fourth stage, dehumanization, “is when the genocidal spiral begins to go downwards. You classify the others as somehow worse than you. You give them names like ‘terrorists’, or even names of animals, start referring to them as a cancer in the body politic, you talk about them as a disease that must be somehow dealt with.”
• The fifth stage was creating an “organization” to commit the genocide: the role played by the “Indian army in Kashmir and the census takers in Assam”.
• The sixth stage was “polarization”, which is achieved by propaganda.
• The seventh stage was “preparation”
• The eighth “persecution”, where Assam and Kashmir currently were.
• The ninth stage is “extermination” and;
• The tenth stage is “denial”.

In fact, it has long heritage of worshiping dictators like Hitler. It is an organization which not only openly decried the Freedom Movement against the British rule but also made fun of the great martyrs like Bhagat Singh and his companions who laid down their lives for the liberation of the Motherland. In order to know the truth we will simply have to make access to the literature and publications of the RSS specially the writings of Golwalkar (known as Guruji) who as a philosopher and guide is religiously followed by the bosses and cadres of the RSS. ‘राम’,‘लव जिहाद’ और ‘घर वापसी’(मुसलमानों व ईसाइयों को ज़ोर-ज़बरदस्ती से हिंदू बनाना) जैसे मुद्दों के बाद हिंदुत्ववादी ताकतों के हाथ में अब गो-रक्षा का हथियार है। पवित्र गाय को बचाने के नाम पर मुसलमानों व दलितों को हिंसक भीड़ द्वारा घेरकर मारने, उनके अंग-भंग कर देने और उनके साथ लूटपाट करने की घटनाएं लगातार हो रही हैं। याद रहे कि ऐसी कई घटनाओं का तो पता ही नहीं चल पाता है। डींग हांकने या अपनी बहादुरी दिखाने के लिए इन हिंसक तत्वों द्वारा सोशल मीडिया पर डाले गए वीडियो उस मारपीट तथा जुल्म व प्रताड़ना की तस्वीर दिखाते हैं, जिसे देख-सुन कर विभाजन के समय की क्रूरतापूर्ण हिंसक घटनाएं याद आ जाती हैं। इन्हें देख के साफ लगता है कि इन हिंसक व अराजक तत्वों को सरकार का वरदहस्त प्राप्त है तथा इन्हें कानून का कोई डर नहीं है। यह शर्मनाक वीडियोज हमें दिखा रहे हैं कि कैसे यह हिंदूवादी हिंसक तत्व किसी को पीट-पीट कर मार डालने या उसे अधमरा कर देने पर खुशियां मनाते, उसका आनंद लेते हैं। गो-रक्षा का धार्मिक कर्तव्य निभाने वाले यह आपराधिक तत्व सही मायनों में हत्यारे होने के साथ लुटेरे भी हैं। यह इससे सिद्ध हो जाता है, जब हम उन्हें प्रताड़ितों को घेरकर मारने से पहले उन की पूँजी और सामान की लूटमार करते देखते हैं।

आरएसएस के वरिष्ठ स्वयंसेवक और नीतिकार, हमारे प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा अगस्त 2016 में गो माता के इन अराजक व हिंसक भक्तों को असामाजिक तत्व ठहरा दिए जाने के बावजूद इनका हिंसक तांडव जारी है। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा थाः 'यह देख मुझे बहुत गुस्सा आता है कि लोग गो रक्षा के नाम पर दुकानें चला रहे हैं... कुछ लोग रात के समय अनैतिक कार्यों में लिप्त रहते हैं और दिन में वह गो रक्षकों का आवरण ओढ़ लेते हैं।'
प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा की गई इस सख्त टिप्पणी को लगभग एक साल होने को आया लेकिन गाय के नाम पर की जाने वाली हिंसा इस अरसे में और बढ़ गई तथा देश के बड़े हिस्से में फैल गई है। यह ज्यादा भीषण हो गई और अनियंत्रित भी। इसके दो कारण हो सकते हैं। पहला यह कि प्रधानमंत्री ने दिखावे के लिए यह बातें बोली हों, ताकि इन आपराधिक कृत्यों के खिलाफ समाज में पनप रहा गुस्सा कम किया जा सके। दूसरा यह कि उक्त गो रक्षक असामाजिक तत्व नहीं हैं, बल्कि वास्तविक गो-रक्षक हैं जिन्हें प्रधानमंत्री का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त है। परंतु इसमें कोई शक नहीं कि इन गैंगस्टर्स को आरएसएस तथा प्रशासन द्वारा प्रश्रय दिया जाता है।

दुर्भाग्य से न्याय पालिका, जिसके बारे में माना जाता है कि वह देश के शासकों को विधि सम्मत रूप से शासन करने पर बाध्य करेगी, कई बार उसने जनहित के मुद्दों पर प्रभावशाली काम किए भी, लेकिन पता नहीं क्यों इस बार वह इन आपराधिक तत्वों के आगे चुप है। बल्कि राजस्थान हाईकोर्ट के एक जज ने ‘गो भक्तों’ द्वारा किए गए अपराधों की पड़ताल करने के बजाय (गो रक्षा के नाम पर की जाने वाली हिंसा में राजस्थान प्रथम स्थान पर है। कुछ समय पहले ही वहां इन गो रक्षकों ने पहलू खान को बर्बरतापूर्वक मार डाला। इस घटना का पूरा वीडियो भी अपलोड किया गया था।)।  गाय को राष्ट्रीय पशु घोषित करने तथा उसकी हत्या करने वाले को मृत्यु दंड देने के निर्देश जारी किए।
This article provides facts against myths on cow.

This article was written in early 1993, in the aftermath of the Demolition of Babri Masjid at Ayodhya on December 6, 1992 by renowned historian Professor Sumit Sarkar. In his brilliant piece he analyzed how demolition of mosque at Ayodhya was beginning of street violence of the fascist tradition. Fascism was knocking at the door. Almost a quarter century later many of Professor's worries have turned into reality.
It is a must read for all those who have faith in democracy and egalitarianism.

Balraj Madhok needs no introduction. He is a senior leader of RSS. He was editor of the English organ of the RSS (Organizer), founded ABVP (student wing of the RSS)  and Jan Sangh (the first political wing of the RSS). He was president of the same for a long time. In a series of his autobiographical writings (Zindagi kaa Safar 1, 2 & 3) he makes shocking revelations about happenings in the RSS fraternity. These relate to womanizing, conspiracies,  immoral activities and what not. He discloses above all that top leaders Jan Sangh and RSS were involved in murdering Deen Dayal Upadhyay as he was proving a stumbling block for high ranking leaders of RSS indulging in immoral activities. It is a must read for all those who want to know the real face of the RSS.

India has embarked upon an ambitious project of becoming a great power. India’s International standing improved significantly in post 9/11 global order because of greater convergence of its interests with the US. India boasts that it possesses the requisite characteristics of a great power for being largest functional secular democracy with stable economy and increasing military power. However, there are some fundamental impediments in India’s way of realising its aspiring dreams: the unresolved and dangerous border disputes with China and Pakistan (world’s largest border disputes); range of complex and active insurgencies that are going on in India; and the rise of Hindu nationalism (Hindutva) are a few prominent stumbling blocks in India’s bumpy road to excellence.
    This paper will examine these three major reasons in the way of India’s projected rise and its inherent vulnerabilities thereof, which might help important stakeholders in the regional peace, especially Pakistan, to revisit their respective policies/ strategies for the purpose of achieving ultimate peace in this region.

Vinayak Damodar Savarkar today shares national eminence with M. K. Gandhi; their portraits hang side by side on the walls of Indian Parliament. This is despite the fact that Sardar Patel, the first Home Minister of India, held Savarkar responsible for the murder of the Father of the Nation. In a letter, dated February 27, 1948, to Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister of India, Patel wrote: ‘It was a fanatical wing of the Hindu Mahasabha directly under Savarkar that hatched the conspiracy (to kill Mahatma) and saw it through.’

This book is the outcome of a sincere urge to separate facts from myths and present facts as they unfolded in the history of India’s Freedom Struggle. In order to know the real Savarkar, author has mainly relied on original documents available in the archives of Hindu Mahasabha, the RSS, the Government of India and the memoirs of revolutionaries who were in the Cellular Jail with Savarkar. These documents, astonishingly, show that he not only kept aloof from the Freedom Movement but also openly helped the British war efforts during the World War II at a time when Subhash Chandra Bose was trying to liberate India militarily. Savarkar remained a die-hard believer in Casteism, Racism and Imperialism throughout his life. He called it Hindutva. This book also evaluates the original 1923 edition of 'Hindutva' authored by Savarkar so that all those who cherish a democratic-secular India are able to understand the gravity of ideas which originated to undo India.

This essay focuses on the politics of western India, specifically in the state of Maharashtra during the riots of 1992-1993, and explores the complex relationship between the state, police, and political parties of the province. This essay will specifically highlight the party Shiv Sena, and how it evolved from a “non-political” movement focused on “social work and justice” into a driving force of Hindu nationalism in the 1990’s. Bombay was and still is a diverse city, full of migrant workers and refuges from across India and the Arabian Sea. Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Muslims, and Jews all live within the city. To add to the diversity, residing in the city are Urdu-speakers, Marathi, Parsi, Dalit, Tamil and many other ethnic groups. The fact that a party such as Shiv Sena, which originally set out to represent Marathi-speaking Hindus, came into power with the BJP (another Hindutva movement party) in the 1990’s is a development worth further study, for it showcased an instance in which the state, which should act as a vessel of secular, fair representation, came to be dominated by a party blatantly pushing a specific group’s interests. The essay ultimately contends that while Shiv Sena was never able to completely dominate party politics within Maharashtra, the party was able to mold state politics and city-life within Bombay into its own preconceived vision of how everything ‘should be’.

Both believed in the superiority of the Aryan race and approved of Adolf Hitler exterminating millions of Jews in gas chambers. Nevertheless they supported Zionism and Jewish State of Israel for no other reason than it was forever waging wars against its Arab neighbours who were Muslims. Islamophobia became an integral part of Hindutva…I had read his Bunch of Letters  [Bunch of Thoughts] earlier and put it out of my mind. I didn’t know of his WE OR OUR NATIONHOOD DEFINED. It was published in 1939…It has been republished with the full text and A Critique by Shamsul Islam by Pharos Press. It substantiates all of what I have said."

This book traces the history of Hindu nationalism with a special focus on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as its prominent flag bearer. Through an in-depth study of archival sources and more recent documents, the author challenges the claim of Hindu nationalism as being primordial. He argues that in addition to being a modern construct, it laid the foundation of Hindu separatism or a two-nation theory which was later adopted by Muslim separatists like Mohammed Ali Jinnah. This book describes the growth of Hindu nationalism and its appearance as Hindutva which glorifies Casteism, Racism and totalitarianism. RSS IDEOLOGUE NANA DESHMUKH JUSTIFIED 1984 MASSACRE OF SIKHS
""The blood of innocent Sikhs massacred in 1984, spilled in different parts of the country and seen on the cuffs of the then rulers has not been erased from the memories despite ganging up of almost all parliamentary political parties in seeing to it that perpetrators are not punished. It is undeniable fact that since 1984 all kinds of political parties, left, right (which include BJP & Akali Dal) and centre ruled this country but the search for culprits is still on.  It is in total conformity to what happened in cases of mass violence against Dalits, Muslims and Christians in different parts of the country. However the reality is that despite ‘national consensus’ over keeping incidents of violence against minorities under wrap, the blood of innocents keep on crying; unkaa lahoo pukarta hae!

1984 massacre is in news once again. This time it is a matter of acrimony between Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RSS choice for prime-ministership, Narendra Modi. It started with Rahul. In a speech in Alwar in Rajasthan, Mr. Gandhi said it had taken 15 years to overcome his anger over the assassinations of his paternal grandmother, Indira Gandhi, the then PM of the country. He, though, remained criminally silent about anger of Sikhs and democratic sections of the country who were angry on the massacre of Sikhs and still are after almost 3 decades.

Modi was quick to decry Rahul’s anger and reminded him that due to this hatred against Sikhs thousands of Sikhs were killed. Speaking in Jhansi, UP, Modi, Hindutva icon and RSS whole-timer lamented the fact that culprits are yet to be booked and tried for this massacre. Thus the blame game continues but Modi did not tell the nation what NDA governments which ruled this country from 1998 to 2004 did to bring to justice the culprits. Modi also forgot to share the fact that as per the autobiography of LK Advani (page 430); it was his Party which forced Indira Gandhi to go for army action named as Blue Star which killed large number of pilgrims.

It is true that despite innumerable high-power committees, police investigation teams and commissions these are few small fries who have been booked; the real culprits are still eluding the call of justice. The reality is that almost in last 3 decades though the country has been ruled by every shade of political opinion there has been no political will to prosecute the culprits.

It is generally believed that the Congress cadres were behind this genocide. This is true but there were other forces too which actively participated in this massacre and whose role has never been investigated. Those who were witness to the genocide of 1984 were stunned by the swiftness and military precision of the killer marauding gangs (later on witnessed during the Babri mosque demolition, burning alive of Dr. Graham Steins with his two sons, 2002 pogrom of the Muslims in Gujarat and cleansing of Christians in parts of Orissa) who went on a burning spree of the innocent Sikhs. This, surely, was beyond the capacity of the thugs led by many Congress leaders.

The author has in his possession a crucial document which may throw some light on the hidden aspects of the genocide and identify the overall forces which executed it. It was authored and circulated by veteran ideologue of the RSS, Mr. Nana Deshmukh on November 8, 1984. Interestingly, this document was published in the Hindi Weekly 'Pratipaksh' edited by Mr. George Fernandes (Defence Minister of India 1999-2004, and presently a great pal of BJP/RSS) in its edition of November 25, 1984 titled ‘Indira Congress-RSS collusion’ with the following editorial comment:
'The author of the following document is known as an ideologue and policy formulator of the RSS. After the killing of Prime Minister (Indira Gandhi) he distributed this document among prominent politicians. It has a historical significance that is why we have decided to publish it, violating policy of our Weekly. This document highlights the new affinities developing between the Indira Congress and the RSS. We produce here the Hindi translation of the document.'

This document may help in unmasking the whole lot of criminals involved in the massacre of innocent Sikhs who had nothing to do with the killing of Indira Gandhi. This document may also throw light on where the cadres came from, who meticulously organized the killing of Sikhs. Mr. Nana Deshmukh in this document is seen outlining the justification of the massacre of the Sikh community in 1984. According to him the massacre of Sikhs was not the handiwork of any group or anti-social elements but the result of a genuine feeling of anger among Hindus of India.

This document also shows the true degenerated and fascist attitude of the RSS towards all the minorities of India. The RSS has been arguing that they are against Muslims and Christians because they are the followers of foreign religions. Here we find them justifying the butchering of Sikhs who according to their own categorization happened to be the followers of an indigenous religion.

The RSS often poses as a firm believer in Hindu-Sikh unity. But in this document we will hear from the horse’s mouth that the RSS like the then Congress leadership, believed that the massacre of the innocent Sikhs was justified. Mr. Deshmukh in this document is seen outlining the justification of the massacre of the Sikh community in 1984. His defence of the carnage in light of his document is discussed here. It is to be noted that despite attempts to turn this issue into  Sikhs versus Hindus and others, there were thousands and thousand Indians who guarded Sikhs against attacks and stood with them.""

The RSS-BJP government of India led by a seasoned RSS whole-timer, Narendra Modi has miserably failed in providing basic amenities, employment, education, security and peace to 138 crores of Indians (out of which approximately 80% are Hindus ) but on last August 5, he had a joyous news to share with the people of the country. While laying the foundation of Ram Temple at Ayodhya on August 5, 2020, with the get-up of a prosperous Hindu sage, Prime Minister declared that wait of Hindus of the world for centuries was over as Lord Ram’s birthplace was finally liberated from numerous attempts to destroy it. According to him India with his laying down the foundation of the Temple was  writing a “glorious chapter” and declared that "Today, the Ram Janmabhoomi [birth-place] has become free from the centuries-old chain of destruction and resurrection".

GOSWAMI TULSIDAS PUT IN BAD LIGHT
As generally happens with our PM, he resorted to lies regarding the destruction of Ram birth-place temple for building Babri Mosque too. According to his narrative, borrowed from the RSS shakhas, Ayodhya represented a continuous war between Hindus and Muslims over the Ram Temple for almost last five centuries.
While boasting of victory over the adversary (Muslims) he did not bother to look at the epic work of poetry in Avadhi language penned by Goswami Tulsidas, namely, RAMCHARITMANAS. This was the work which mesmerized India with the story of Lord Ram and the latter became house-hold deity of every Hindu home.  He penned his above mentioned work during 1575-76. According to the Hindutva version Ram birth-place temple was destroyed during 1538-1539. Thus RAMCHARITMANAS written almost 37 years after the so called destruction of Ram birth-place temple should have mentioned this destruction. But it did not.
Are Hindutva zealots trying to say that the greatest story-teller and worshipper of Ram and his Court (Darbar), Tulsidas did not speak truth in his historic work? Is not it an attempt to question the credibility of Goswami Tulsidas? Are the Hindutva zealots trying to say that Goswami Tulsidas kept mum on the issue of the destruction of a temple at Ram's birth-place due to some ulterior motives?

HINDUTVA: MYTHS AND REALITY
[This essay is in response to demand from friends across the globe to make available a concise primer on the toxic ideology of Hindutva based on its own archives for ready reference.]
Introduction
The term Hindutva took birth with the appearance of VD Savarkar's book titled Hindutva in 1923. Savarkar’s Hindutva was declared to be the Holy Book of Hindu Sangathan or organization. M. S. Golwalkar, who headed the RSS after K. B. Hedgewar, too regarded Savarkar’s Hindutva as a great scientific book which fulfilled the need of a text-book on Hindu nationalism.  According to a biography of founder of RSS, Hedgewar published by the RSS, “Savarkar’s inspiring and brilliant exposition of the concept of Hindutva marked by incontestable logic and clarity, struck the cord of Doctorji’s [Hedgewar’s] heart”.
Despite such statements glorifying Hindutva as priceless contribution in defence of Hindu nationalism, the contents of the book did not attract many Hindu leaders and remained beyond the comprehension of common Hindus. In fact, even the title of the book seemed to have been an afterthought. A perusal of the original edition (1923) will show that the booklet was printed with the title Hinduism but subsequently a separate piece of paper on which Hindutva was printed was pasted on the title page of the book. Since the term remained alien even to the Savarkarites, by the 4th edition Hindutva as title was dropped and it was published under a new title Who Is A Hindu? In 1963 Maharashtra Provincial Hindusabha published it as part of Savarkar’s collected works with the title Essentials of Hindutva. Another notable fact about this book was that it was published under the pen name ‘A Maratha’ signifying a regional identity of the author where as book stressed only the Hindu identity of the country and its inhabitants.
Savarkar admitted at the outset that the ‘term Hindutva defies all attempts at analysis’.  He began by trying to make a clear-cut distinction between his theory of Hindutva and religion Hinduism. But few pages later it became clear that Hindutva was nothing else but political Hinduism. According to his definition a Hindu
"is he who looks upon the land that extends from Sindhu to Sindhu, from the Indus to the Seas, as the land of his forefathers—his pitribhu, who inherits the blood of that race whose first discernible source could be traced to the Vedic Saptasindhs [seven holy rivers] and which on its onward march, assimilating much that was incorporated and ennobling much that was assimilated, has come to be known as the Hindu people, who has inherited and claims as his own the culture of that race as expressed chiefly in their common classical language Sanskrit and represented by a common history, a common literature, art and architecture, law and jurisprudence, rites and rituals, ceremonies and sacraments, fairs and festivals…These are the essentials of Hindutva—a common rashtra [nation] a common Jati [race] and a common Sanskriti [culture, though in latter editions it is translated as civilization].
According to Savarkar, these were the Hindus with Aryan blood who established the Hindu nation the day
"when the Horse of Victory returned to Ayodhya unchallenged and unchallengeable, the great white Umbrella of Sovereignty was unfurled over that, Imperial throne of Ramchandra the brave, Ramchandra the good, and a loving allegiance to him was sworn, not only by the Princes of the Aryan blood but Hanuman—Sugriva—Bibhishana from the south— that day was the real birth-day of our Hindu people." 
Savarkar’s book Hindutva was haphazard, confused, incoherent, monotonous, contradictory and repetitive in comparison to other works of Savarkar. In fact in Hindutva, propagated as the primer of the Hindu nationalism less than one quarter of the space was devoted to the theme. Major parts of the book contained repetitive discussions over the origin of nomenclature like Hindu/Hindusthan, folk literature, evils in Buddhism, how Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists were Hindus and description of perpetually continuously raging conflicts between Vedic and
non-Vedic sects in Hinduism.
The concept of Hindu Nation as elaborated in Hindutva remained a fringe thought despite the fact that Savarkar while presiding over the 19th session of Hindu Mahasabha at Ahmedabad in December 1937 declared it to be the goal of Hindu Mahasabha, there were not many takers for the book. The dismal reach of the book can be gauged by the fact that after the publication of its first edition in 1923, the second edition could appear only in 1942. With the last edition appearing in 2003, only seven editions of the book came out in more than eight decades.
However, with the ascendency of the RSS-BJP in the Indian parliamentary politics in late 1990s idolizing of Savarkar began. While renaming the Port Blair airport after V. D. Savarkar on May 4, 2002, the then Home Minister L. K. Advani declared that “Hindutva propounded by Savarkar was an all-encompassing ideology with its roots in the country’s heritage”. The glorification of the prophet of Hindutva did not stop there. On February 26, 2003, a portrait of Savarkar was unveiled at Parliament. Savarkar thus came to share the eminence accorded to Gandhi and other prominent leaders of the freedom struggle in the Central Hall of Parliament. However, we need to have a convincing answer to the question that if Savarkar with his eternal love for the two-nation theory and his conscious aloofness from the Indian freedom struggle can be glorified as an Indian nationalist and patriot, then who can stop Mohammed Ali Jinnah from claiming this status?
The present RSS-BJP rulers led by PM Modi keep on declaring publically that they are committed to usher India into a Savarkarite model of Hindu nation. We will evaluate the claims made on behalf of the flag-bearers of Hindutva in the following.

Many a debates are raging in various circles related to Ambedkar’s ideology. On one hand the RSS combine has been very active to prove that RSS ideology is close to Ambedkar’s ideology. In this direction RSS mouth pieces Organizer (English) and Panchjanya (Hindi) brought out
special supplements on the occasion of anniversary of Ambedkar, praising him. This is very surprising as RSS is for Hindu nation while Ambedkar has pointed out that Hindu Raj will be the biggest calamity for Dalits.
The second debate is about Ambedkar-Gandhi. This came to forefront with Arundhati Roy’s introduction to Ambedkar’s
‘Annihilation of Caste’ published by Navayana. In her introduction ‘Doctor and the Saint’ Roy is critical of Gandhi’s various ideas.
This digest brings together some of the essays and articles by various scholars-activists on the theme. Hope this will help us clarify the underlying issues.

When the Semitic free run on the Hindu turf under Sonia’s proxy watch ended with the ascent of Narendra Modi onto the Delhi gaddi, the Indian agendas of the Christian west and the Muslim umma faced impediments resulting in the brouhaha over the growing religious intolerance of Hindus towards India’s minorities. Given the racial biases and the religious prejudices of both against the Hindus and that the world media, by and large is controlled by them, a critical appraisal of their propaganda with objective lenses is called for.
Hence, as the accusation is on the religious ground, it is imperative that the theocratic credos of Islam and Christianity as well as the philosophical ethos of santana dharma aka Hinduism, the only surviving ‘way of life’ of yore on earth, are to be reckoned with.

In fact, it has been the most favourite theme of RSS since its inception in 1925. India is for "Ramzade" (children of Ram) and out of bound for "Babarzade" (children of Babar) who are also described as "Haramazade" (the illegitimate children). The RSS and its Hindutva appendages have been demanding revenge for crimes against Hindus in history but have singled out the medieval period only in order to focus on the persecution by "Muslim" rulers. It is really surprising that in a country like India whose civilization is more than five thousand years old, a period of 400-500 years ("Muslim" Rule) only is put under the scanner. In order to arrive at truth we need to inquire into about the nature of "Muslim" rule. The most crucial issue is: Why have the common Muslims of today"s India to pay for the sins of the "Muslim" rulers who had friendly and cordial relations (including matrimonial) with the high Caste hierarchy of the Hindu society? We also need to investigate whether "Hindu" history was devoid of religious, social and political persecution. The Hindutva zealots demanding Muslim-free India must know that all "Muslim" rules survived due to the Hindu high Castes joining the "Muslim" rulers in running their empires. How solid this unity was can be gauged by the fact that after Akbar no Mughal emperor was born of a Muslim mother. It is in response to Rahul Pandita’s piece ‘Gorakhpur and the Ghost of Gangadhar Adhikari: Whether liberals like it or not, the story of Hindu consolidation is not over yet’ which appeared in Open Magazine on March 22, 2017. My response is a lengthy one, as reproduction of many original documents from the RSS/Hindutva archives is needed to evaluate many beliefs of Rahul Pandita. This detailed response can be handy resource material to challenge the justification of Hindutva rule in India by the Hindutva zealots and characters who as fence-sitters were just waiting India to be stormed by the Hindutva gang to join the latter.
Rahul's glorification of the forthcoming Hindutva rule in India reminds me of Max Weinreich's eye-opener book ‘Hitler's Professors: The Part of Scholarship in Germany's Crimes Against the Jewish People’ [Yale University Press, New Haven, 1999]. It is a narrative of the contemporary documents showing how intellectuals in Germany worked overtime to legitimize the Nazis led by Hitler and facilitated latter’s capture of power in Germany.

LEADING INDIA INTO DARKNESS: INDIAN PRESIDENT IDOLIZES 'GITA PRESS' THAT PREACHES ENSLAVEMENT OF HINDU WOMEN!

It is mandatory for every President of India to take the following oath prescribed under Article 49 of the Indian Constitution before occupying the august office: "I, [Name] do swear in the name of God/solemnly affirm that I will faithfully execute the office of President (or discharge the functions of the President) of India and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and the law and that I will devote myself to the service and well-being of the people of India." There is no ambiguity on the character of India polity which is explained in the Preamble of the Constitution. It is a democratic Republic, formed to secure for all its citizens, justice, liberty, equality, fraternity and dignity. Surely, the present President of India, His Highness Ram Nath Kovind has not been exempted from this constitutional obligation. However, sadly discarding totally this commitment he graced and addressed the centenary celebrations of Gita Press at Gorakhpur on June 4, 2022 in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Governor and chief minister. According to the Press Information Bureau press release, "Speaking on the occasion, the President said that Gita Press has played a very important role in taking the spiritual and cultural knowledge of India to the masses through its publications…The President noted that apart from the Bhagavad Gita, Gita Press publishes books like Ramayana, Puranas, Upanishads, Bhakt-charitra etc. It has made a record by publishing more than 70 crore books till now and has the distinction of being the world's largest publisher of Hindu religious books. He praised the Gita Press for providing religious books to the public at cheap prices even despite financial constraints."
