The main purpose of this paper is to outline manufacturing industry’s skewed, technology-oriented perspective and highlight the importance of employee productivity in Industry 4.0. The phenomenon of Industry 4.0 is bringing various complex and dynamic changes for organizations. Despite organizations’ focus on technological aspects to tackle change and implement Industry 4.0 in practice, the interests in how this phenomenon impacts employees have been rising recently. Due to the apparent paradigm shift in manufacturing, work processes, work-life balance along with employees’ skills, knowledge and competencies will have to change. Here the role and importance of employee productivity will have to be addressed. Knowledge management practices can be a useful tool to help deal with perceived complexities. This paper offers practical implications for business practice and outlines the possibility to support employee productivity management in Industry 4.0 with the utilization of strategic knowledge management and knowledge management tools.

Decisions on which management tools will be used in order to accomplish project objectives in the most efficient way are contingent upon specific project features such as objectives, resources, and context. One of the most challenging features is the project’s complexity. The objective of this study is to contribute to the knowledge on the concept of project complexity, and on the relationships between project complexity and the use of specific project management tools. A questionnaire was submitted to 313 project managers. The data analysis indicated that the complexity of projects managed by the participants is generated by the criticality of the goals and can influence the frequency of use of processes and techniques related to project planning and people management.

This study has explored 16 management tools and selected the key six; based on their innovation creation and customer satisfaction. The researcher’s objective was to provide executives and managers with the information they need to know and identify, so that they can integrate such tools to improve bottom line results to respond to the increased competition. The method used was based on tracking of tools used by companies (both service & manufacturing companies) in Neiva-Colombia. Statistical test using frequency tables were used to find out how satisfied executives and managers were with their results and under what circumstances do firms need to use such tools. Findings indicate that managers with average score of 84.2% believe that management tools such as price optimization model, customer segmentation; supportive organizational culture, employee engagement survey, benchmarking & Balanced Scorecard, and technology are the most influential tools in terms of innovation creation and customer satisfaction. It was discovered that in difficult economic climates, these tools allow companies to monitor, identify and ensure that they are doing the right things. Throughout the study, the author focuses on the uses of management tools in developing markets as a source of competitive advantage for New and Existing Products.

Nowadays the information is being used as leading phase for development. Information is generating from almost every sector of our society but, every society are not that much of developed. Some societies are very well developed, some developing and some are lagging in comparison to others. The secret behind the well-developed societies is information. They are the much producers, seekers, managers and users of information. This journey started from the very beginning concept data. After processing the data it became information. Now we are in the age of knowledge. The societal development is also changing from agrarian to information society and now knowledge society. In the role of the development of any society, library performs the pro-vital role. Various types of libraries are serving various types of users. The 21 st-century technologies proceed libraries to the sky level of providing tremendous services to the end users. This paper deals with the modern technologies used for proving services to the modern users. Modern users very need bases. They want much-pinpointed resources rather than a full document. So libraries are also becoming modern information centres. The internet made this job very easy for the professionals for providing the on campus as well as from outside for accessing the resources. Various tools are using for these purposes. DSpace is considered one of the KM tools.

In order to reach goals and continue the ongoing learning process, like other organizations, universities also need the eff ective use of knowledge management. Knowledge management is an ongoing process and it has to be organized in a manner that is always open to new ideas. In universities where research and development studies play an important role, knowledge management has a very critical importance. Qualitative research techniques h ave been applied in the study. In the present research, 52 instructors and 25 diff erent members of the board of directors of universities have been interviewed from five different universities. As a result of the comparison statement, results showed board of directors are not using knowledge management tools eff ectively in areas such as the improvement of knowledge, buying of knowledge, share and evaluation of knowledge, and figuring out of lack of knowledge, based on instructors capacity. Accordingly, research stated that board of directors should study the development of knowledge management tools.

This paper exposes initially the motivations for developing and releasing a TRL online calculator by AEB (Brazilian Space Agency). Such motivations demands the tool to be a way not only to assess the readiness degree of past space missions and systems, but also as a method of evaluating and sharing new proposals with technological content. The TRL methodology and its relation to risk management is discussed. The development phases of the 'IMATEC Lite' application are described with emphasis to the data handling structure capable of storing the user product model. A result of technology assessment using the software is then detailed by presenting the PBS of the SERPENS 1 mission nanosatellite. The prospects of using the tool for judging the acceptability of new missions and projects are discussed as well as some of the encountered difficulties.

ABSTRACT
This study aimed to assess the reaction-based satisfaction level of Kuwait University’s students regarding the
utilization of some PKM tools in their academic studies and its influence on managing their knowledge. A total
of 100 undergraduate students from the College of Education participated in this research. Regardless of
students being not aware at all about KM, PKM, and PKM tools. Yet, the fact is that the results showed a
significantly positive, affirmative, and encouraging feelings, attitudes, and perceptions with respect to using
PKM tools for academia and personal life as well (i.e., yielded an agreement ratio about 95 percent). The
majority of the participants did consider PKM tools as being appropriate and useful to their work/study. They
also did believe that PKM tools are important constituents for success in the global knowledge society. Thus,
most of the participants were highly satisfied with PKM tools and, accordingly, their reaction-based satisfaction
level was positive and significantly high among all subgroups.

A lot has been discussed about the limitations of an adaptive learning organization and a generative one. We live in a world of rapid changes, economic and technological, as well as cultural and political. In order to remain competitive, organizations must be able to transform, both to adapt to the changed business environment, as well as to proactively ready themselves for the next wave of changes to come.
Transformation, in turn, requires excellence in strategy, organization, and systems. When all these three components are effectively considered, not only can the implementation risks associated with any transformation within an organization be reduced, but also success can readily be achieved. After all, the goal of knowledge workers and knowledge managers is to ensure every individual in the organization is ready for transformations at any given time.

The use of technology-based tools in knowledge management practices is already part of many administrative processes of the school organization. Understood as strategic in the automation of access, diffusion and sharing of knowledge, technology supports information management as a support tool. The manager of a school organization in action, is faced with the dimension of people, process and technology. In this study the objective is to verify the stage of implementation and reach of practices and tools of knowledge management based on technology used by managers of public-school organizations. The methodology adopted was qualitative and quantitative. A total of 98 school managers from a city in the south of Brazil participated in the study, answer a questionnaire with 27 questions. The results showed that managers use of knowledge-based management practices based on technology in their daily lives, often intuitively, but already recognize them as facilitators.
