While the term “e-learning” has been thrown around quite a lot in recent years, many are still unaware of what it actually means and how it can help them achieve success in both their professional and personal lives. This short e-book aims to provide an introductory level overview of the e-learning field for those people.
This e-book is divided into five main topics. The first topic sets the case for e-learning by dealing with subjects such as its history, its advantages and any drawbacks, and whether it can actually lead to learning. The second topic describes important types of learning tools that are available today. The third topic deals with the characteristics of online courses and how one can create successful learning communities. The fourth topic is about emerging learning trends. Here we explain themes such as micro-learning and gamification. And the final topic describes the application of e-learning in different industries.

To develop a stability-indicating reversed phase ultra performance liquid chromatographic
(RP-UPLC) method for the determination of related substances in Metoclopramide
bulk drugs and pharmaceutical dosage form.
Method: The chromatographic separation was achieved using a Waters X-terra RP18
(150
4.6 mm), 3.5 mm particle size column using the gradient program with mobile phase
consisting of solvent A: 30 mM monobasic sodium phosphate and 2.3 mM of pentane-1-
sulphonic acid sodium salt (pH 3.0 buffer) and solvent-B (Acetonitrile). A flow rate of 1.2 mL/
min and UV detector at 273 nm was used. The runtime was 18 min within which Metoclopramide
and its four impurities, ACETYLMETO, ACMA, CLEE and ACME were well separated.
Results and discussion: Thedrugwas subjectedto stress conditions suchasoxidative, acid&base
hydrolysis, thermal and photolytic degradation. Metoclopramide was found to degrade significantly
in photolytic, oxidative&thermal stress conditions and stable in acid, base, hydrolytic&
humidity stress conditions. The major degradation impurities in oxidation and photolytic
degradation were identified by LCMS. The degradation products were well resolved from the
main peak and its impurities, thus proved the stability-indicating power of the method.
Conclusion: The developed method was validated as per ICH guidelines with respect to
specificity, linearity, limit of detection, limit of quantification, accuracy, precision and
robustness. The calibration curves obtained for the four impurities were linear over the
range 0.062e3.040 mg/mL.

All Theology Is Christology (ATIC) is a consortium of numerous high quality academic papers written and compiled by a wide range of Lutheran Scholars (26 to be precise) in honour of Reverend Doctor David P. Scaer ThD of Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). Scaer is currently professor of Systematic Theology and New Testament at Fort Wayne, Indiana and has been called to teach there since 1966—hence it is no wonder when the scope of his influence is surveyed, the fruits of his labour is vast and numerous. Some of his achievements include 9 years serving on the Commission on the Theology and Church Relations (CTCR) as chairman, and has twice been awarded the prestigious John W. Behnken Post-Doctoral Fellowship Award by AAL for study in Europe (1969, 1986). Scaer has influenced two generations of Synod’s pastors and is himself a third generation Lutheran clergyman being brought up in Brooklyn, New York, where his father, the late Reverend Paul H. Scaer served his lifetime ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church of Flatbush.

Alpha-amanitin is a cyclic peptide which belongs to a large group of mushroom toxins known as amatoxins. Being responsible for the majority of fatal mushroom poisonings, they require rapid detection and excretion from the body fluids. In accordance with these requirements, a simple and an accurate method was developed for successful identification and quantification of alpha-amanitin in serum with electrospray liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS) after collision-induced dissociation. The method conforms to the established International Conference on Harmonization Q2A/Q2B 1996 guidelines on the validation of analytical methods. Linearity, precision, extraction recovery and stability test on blank serum spiked with alpha-amanitin and stored in different conditions met the acceptance criteria. The obtained calibration curve was linear over the concentration range 5-100 ng/mL with a lower limit of quantification (LOQ) of 5 ng/mL and limit of detection (LOD) of 2.5 ng/mL. The mean intra-and inter-day precision and accuracy were 6.05% and less than ±15% of nominal values, respectively. The neutral solid phase extraction with copolymer hydrophilic–lipophilic balance cartridges was found optimal for sample preparation with the mean recovery of 91.94%. The proposed method demonstrated high sensitivity and selectivity which can be useful both for clinical and forensic toxicology analysis of alpha-amanitin at low concentrations. The main objective of this study is characterization and analysis of Nothapodytes nimmoniana by studying its antimicrobial activity, antiglycation activity and also the anticancer effect of its hydro alcoholic extract on HeLa cell lines. For this purpose a plant sample is collected from forests of Mulshi and medicinal plant garden of National Research Institute of Basic Ayurvedic Sciences (NRIBAS, Pune). Extraction of stem, stem bark, leaves of Nothapodytes nimmoniana was carried out by using cold decoction and microwave assisted extraction (MAE) methods. To check the presence of an alkaloid, (Camptothecin, mol. wt. 348.352g/mol) in the plant, qualitative assay by using Mayer’s reagent was performed and its quantitation by dye based colorimetric analysis was done. Maximum amount of CPT was observed in stem bark of the sample collected from Mulshi which was confirmed by the mass spectrometry (LCMS). Antimicrobial activity was analysed by using Tetrazolium micro plate microbial viability assay against Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MIC at 50mg/ml) in leaves and in Escherichia coli (MIC at 25mg/ml) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MIC at 25mg/ml) for stem bark extract. The antiglycation and quenching assay was performed to determine the production of advanced glycation end product, which was reduced in the presence of the stem bark extract (IC50 at 10.356µg/ml) and leaves extract (IC50 at10.995µg/ml). The cytotoxic effect on HeLa cell lines was determined using MTT assay, where IC50 for leaves, stem bark and standard CPT was 178µg/µl, 1540µg/µl, and 29µg/µl respectively.

Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) is one of the leading analytical tools used during the development of small molecules and biologics. LC-MS is used at various stages of the drug development process and for multiple purposes. During early development, LC-MS is often used during lead identification/optimization and early metabolic/toxicology studies; during process development, it is used to assess the best conditions for production; during clinical research it is used for metabolic/ toxicology studies in patient samples; and during both, clinical research and commercial manufacturing, it is used for Quality Control (QC) before batch release.
The type of LC-MS analysis performed depends on the type of molecule and the questions being investigated. Moreover, each type of molecule and matrix requires its own protocol for sample preparation. Automation allows for the standardization of all the steps of the workflow, while also significantly increasing the capacity for sample processing.

Addie Graves (1922-2007) grew up in Wilcox County, Alabama, which at the time was a center of Lutheran African-American missions. After moving to Columbus, Georgia, in the early 1950s, she became the first black member of a Lutheran church in the city (Lutheran Church of the Redeemer). This is significant because most other churches in Columbus did not desegregate until decades later. It was also prior to any official desegregation action by the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. She could have joined a different church, but she evidently felt strongly about her Lutheran faith and identity. In 1963, she helped establish Bethlehem Lutheran Church in her neighborhood, seeking to spread the gospel and benefit her neighbors. She did this, not out of an identification with Black Lutheranism, but because of her confessional, theologically conservative Lutheran faith.

E-learning that integrates digital knowledge content, network and information technology has become an emerging learning method. As the e-learning platform approach is becoming an important tool to allow the flexibility and quality requested by such a kind of learning process. There is a new kind of problem faced by organizations consisting in the selection of the most suitable e-learning platform. This paper proposes evaluation model for E-Learning platform in Riyadh City universities (RCU) with Applied Geographic Information System (GIS). The E-Learning platform solution selection is a multiple criteria decision-making problem that needs to be addressed objectively taking into consideration the relative weights of the criteria for any organization. We formulate the quoted multi criteria problem as a decision hierarchy to be solved using GIS. AGIS-based evaluation index system and web-based evaluating platform were established. In this paper we will show the general evaluation strategy and some obtained results using our model to evaluate some existing commercial platforms.The results of evaluation model are outlined as follows: Total weights of the proposed framework in management feature is 20.25/25, in collaborative feature is 9.2/10, in adaption learning path is 6.8/10 and in interactive learning object is 5/5. The total weights of all features are 41.25/50. In this study an evaluation model was applied on Riyadh City universities like KSU, IMAMU, NAUSS, YU and FU. Then, the results were compared with each other. The total weighs of KSU was 41. While the total weights of FU, IMAMU, YU and NAUSS was 40, 37, 36 and 32, respectively. Evaluation process shows that the proposed framework satisfied the objectives with applied GIS.

Background The rapid spread of antibiotic resistance has increased research interest in the discovery of natural products, mainly from actinomycetes, which have been the primary source of antimicrobial compounds. This study aimed to isolate, characterize, and optimize the production of some of the bioactive compounds from bioactive soil actinomycetes. Results One promising soil actinomycete, which was molecularly identified as Streptomyces sp. and designated as Streptomyces sp. MS. 10, showed broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, including activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Thus, it was selected for isolation of its major bioactive compounds.
