This study attempted to examine how conservation and development projects are increasingly being critiqued for having failed to meet their objectives. The study was a qualitative study. The present study was focused on the goal of combining biodiversity conservation with the promotion of local economic development to create a win-win situation for both endangered species and marginalized peoples. The present study was focused on the goal of combining biodiversity conservation with the promotion of local economic development to create a win-win situation for both endangered species and marginalized peoples. Numerous recent studies have questioned the effectiveness of the conservation and development projects in the Municipality of Janiuay, Iloilo, Philippines. This present study is based on in-depth interview with the Officer of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources and other stakeholders of Janiuay, Iloilo, Philippines. The findings revealed that the community development and conservation programs in the local community of the Municipality of Janiuay, Iloilo, Philippines, were developed in response to uncompromising confrontations between local people and nature reserve managers when managers attempted to enforce reserve regulations. Finally, they have met with both failures and successes and these programs have been successful in transforming what was once a violent relationship between local people and nature reserve managers into a much more cooperative one.

It does not waste my time just teaching me vocabulary and grammar. If I am going to learn Kiswahili, or any other language for that matter, I HAVE to speak it. The motto is “Listen, Repeat, and Speak Kiswahili.”

Penulisan ilmiah ini menyajikan pembahasan mengenai aplikasi
multimedia, yang merupakan perwujudan dari pesatnya perkembangan metode
belajar yang seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi saat ini. Dalam
penulisan ini, dibahas mengenai pembuatan aplikasi untuk mempelajari cara
bermain gitar, untuk tingkat pemula khususnya. Di dalam aplikasi ini sudah
terangkum materi – materi yang mampu membuat pengguna aplikasi ini dapat
mengenal gitar dan mempelajari cara bermain gitar dengan baik dan memiliki
standard yang tidak jauh berbeda dengan apa yang dipelajari di tempat kursus
untuk level / tingkat pemula, yang diketahui bersama bahwa tidak sedikit tempat
kursus musik / gitar yang memiliki tarif yang erlatif ‘tinggi’ bagi sebagian orang.

This scientific writing serves about multimedia application, which is a
manifestation of learning method and information’s technology that walk
altogether as well as their nowadays rapid development. In this writing, discussed
the application’s creation of learn to play guitar, especially for the beginners. This
scientific writing has summarized the materials that can make any users could
recognize the guitar and learn how to play it as well and also has it’s standard to
make the materials are equal as good as the formal guitar course’s basic materials
in the same level, as well as we all know there are much course place who has
their relatively ‘high’ price for some people.

Nobody disagrees that reading is good for students’ language development. The more they read texts that they can understand, the more confident and adept they become. However, it can be quite a struggle to get students started on their reading journey. We suggest that this is partly due to a lack of access to comprehensible and compelling reading materials. We argue that book series, which contain highly familiar language, easy-to-follow story lines and relatable characters, can potentially be used to get students hooked on reading and to keep them reading.

This book is an original contribution to the field of education, with emphasis on using Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences in language learning. The book examines a cornucopia of theories of human intelligence and language theories developed in the past century. The present study adopts a corpus-driven perspective to an analysis of the ‘current relevance’ meaning, a central meaning of the present perfect, in general and textbook corpora. The term ‘current relevance’ refers to a meaning of the present perfect, in which a past action or event is shown to be connected with the present time in some ways. The relevance to the present, however, is in many cases implicit (Downing & Locke, 2006). This might pose a problem to EFL learners as they may fail to see the link between actions in the past and in the present time and hence use other tenses in English, e.g. the past simple tense or the present simple tense, instead of the present perfect. As the demand of turning Thailand to be the center of Medical Hub of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), English skills have been playing a vital role to designate the successful career path of many healthcare personnel especially nurses (Pandey and Sinhaneti, 2013). This study was aimed at investigating the current needs of English skills of Thai nurses working in 5 JCI-accredited hospitals in Bangkok namely Bangkok Hospital, Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital, Vejthani Hospital, BNH, and Phayathai2 International Hospital. 20 copies of the ethics approved questionnaire were randomly distributed to nurses in each hospital. Studies on learner demotivation has attracted the attention of second language (L2) researchers and scholars worldwide in recent years. In this paper, L2 demotivation is defined as external and internal influences which can lead to the diminishing motivation to study the target language. This paper further identifies and discusses significant influences in the form of teacherand learner-related factors that affect learner demotivation. For teacher-related influences, inappropriate teaching styles and attitudes, poor teaching quality as well as teacher demotivation have been cited by several studies as key factors of learner demotivation. Learner demotivation can also be affected by learner-related influences arising mainly from intrinsic issues such as low self-esteem or poor self-worth.
