MTF

This petition argues that erotic comics are an important cultural record of the way in which diverse sexualities are understood and portrayed, and sexual fantasies explored. An Erotic Comics Anglophone Archive (ErotiCAA) will preserve these works for research by scholars in many different disciplines.

One of the biggest problems facing anyone researching pornography/erotica or comics, and therefore doubly so for anyone researching erotic/pornographic comics, is finding and gaining access to primary materials. So we have decided to have a go at establishing an archive in the UK to collect and catalogue English-language porn and erotic comics.

We intend to approach a number of libraries and research institutions to host and/or fund the archive. Persuading them to support us will be a lot easier if we an show that there is a need for this archive, so to help with that we’ve started this petition.

A review of French and international psychoanalytic literature reveals complex countertransference reactions toward gender-nonconforming analysands. These reactions have been denounced as normative, even transphobic, by trans* activists and researchers (Califia, 2003; Espineira, 2015; Preciado, 2021) and some psychoanalysts (Ayouch, 2015; Barkai, 2017; Hansbury, 2017). Most authors of this special issue have chosen to extricate themselves from the arguably more comfortable position of criticizing other clinicians, preferring to focus on their own difficulties working with gender-variant patients. For Piera Aulagnier (1984), “the account of a clinical case exposes the analyst [and his or her] theory and practice much more than any theoretical text can do” (p. 13). In the same vein, is not countertransference the ultimate marker of self-exposure? The authors in this issue have taken this route in order to distance themselves from the tradition of the heroic clinician, sheltered from conflict by assuming the stance of infallibility. In this way, they hope to enhance the critical reflexivity of psychoanalysis, which has long pathologized transness, occasionally veering toward clinical and theoretical mistreatment of patients. They also wish to illustrate the creative potential of countertransference as a source of insight and new discoveries for both analysts and analysands. Some countertransference enactments can even transform treatments by accessing archaic or incompletely symbolized material as well as split parts of the psyche otherwise impossible to reach. As Freud argued, countertransference is not only an obstacle to analysis but also a “blessing in disguise” (letter 1909 in Freud & Jung, 1906–1913/1974).

ABSTRACT: The radiometric capabilities of two mobile phone cameras are examined
and compared against two off-the-shelf digital cameras. The radiometric performances
are measured in terms of resolution by MTF analysis, noise analysis and linearity test.
All tests are conducted with the use of a Siemens Star chart.

In Pakistan gibt es deutlich mehr männliche als weibliche Sexarbeiter. Trotz eines dramatischen Anstieges von HIV-Infektionen gab es bislang kein HIV-Präventionsvorhaben, das auf men who have sex with men (MSM) und Hijra-spezifische Erfordernisse ausgerichtet arbeitete. Die im indischen Lucknow ansässige Naz Foundation International initiierte jüngst ein Sieben-Länder-Präventionsprojekt, das neben Afghanistan, Bangladesch, Bhutan, Indien, Nepal und Sri Lanka vor allem Pakistan als zentrale Komponente beinhaltet.

Les seins étant considérés dans nos sociétés comme l'emblème du féminin, leur perte est d'emblée associée à la perte de féminité, et le parcours de masculinisation des hommes trans qui procèdent à une mastectomie atteste d'une telle représentation. Pour les femmes atteintes d'un cancer du sein dont la mastectomie n'est pas choisie mais subie, la « reconstruction » mammaire, présentée avant tout comme une opération de « réparation » d'ordre médical, a également un but sexuel moins avoué, visant à modeler le corps féminin selon des fantasmes masculins, comme le montre le fait qu'une augmentation mammaire accompagne généralement la reconstruction chirurgicale. Si certaines femmes acceptent plus ou moins bien la reconstruction mammaire, d'autres la refusent, témoignant qu'il est possible d'être une femme avec ou sans seins. Ainsi, l'association Les Amazones s'exposent, ou encore l'artiste bulgare Boryana Rossa, affichent leur nouvelle identité d'Amazone, remettant en cause l'idée d'une féminité restreinte aux corps pourvus de seins. Consécutives à la mastectomie, les cicatrices, associées à la virilité, questionnent les codes corporels du genre. Le thème des cicatrices et des mutilations est au coeur du travail artistique de Sophie Ristelhueber, de Kai Widenhöfer, et de Kader Attia, celui-ci rendant compte « en images » de la manière spécifique dont les sociétés occidentales appréhendent la réparation par rapport aux autres sociétés.
Abstract: In our societies, given that breasts are considered an emblem of femininity, losing them is directly associated with losing one's femininity, and the masculinization of trans men who undergo mastectomies attests to this representation. For women with breast cancer and whose mastectomy is imposed rather than elective, breast «reconstruction», primarily presented as medical «repair» surgery, also has a sexual objective that is less often acknowledged, attempting to shape the female body according to male expectations, as seen in the fact that breast enlargement is often included in the surgical reconstruction. Although some women accept breast reconstruction to varying degrees, others reject it, illustrating that it is possible to be a woman with or without breasts. For example, the French association Les Amazones s'exposent (Amazons expose themselves) and Bulgarian artist Boryana Rossa highlight their new identity as Amazons, challenging the idea that femininity is limited to bodies with breasts. Post mastectomy, scars-associated with virility-call into question bodily codes of gender. Scars and mutilation are central to the art of Sophie Ristelhueber, Kai Widenhöfer, and Kader Attia; Attia's work is a pictorial description of the specific way in which repair is understood in western societies compared with other societies.

Nowadays, unmanned aircrafts are more frequently used for measurement purposes. Size of aircrafts is often proportional to its price and load. Aircraft load of 2–3 kg, as required to lift DSLR camera, lens and gimbal (camera stabilizer) in the air, are higher-priced (>50, 000 kn). Those kinds of aircrafts have their limits within the law, but also practical limitations because of its size. With the development of autonomous small size cameras such as action cameras appeared the ability to use cheaper, smaller and unmanned aircrafts with lower load in photogrammetric purposes. Of course, to use such a camera in measuring purposes first it is necessary to carry out adequate calibration method and define the elements of internal orientation of the camera.
