There are always two sides to a door. It has two faces without being two-faced. It is derived by merging two Old English forms: the singular "dor" and the plural “duru."

To be a door is to embrace multiplicities.

To be a door is to make choices all your life. More accurately to be a door is to perpetually unmake the choice that you last made; to choose between being opened, or being closed.

To be a door is to choose without taking sides.

Closed capitals of the empire of law. The importance of openness of judicial proceedings for social legitimacy of judicial authority

The article focuses on the openness of judicial proceedings, in particular the openness of the trial, considered as an important element of the constitutional right to a trial, the requirement of procedural fairness and the condition for maintaining the social legitimacy of the judiciary. The immediate context  for the considerations is determined by the changes introduced by the Act of May 28, 2021 amending the Act – the Polish Code of Civil Procedure and certain other acts, making it possible to limit the openness of court proceedings in relation to the occurrence of an epidemiological emergency. The author draws the attention to transformations in the constitutional position and ways of perceiving the legitimacy of courts in modern constitutional democracies. The  increasing role of courts in settling major political disputes, resolving social  conflicts, controlling governmental authorities and enabling citizens to hold  representatives of the authorities accountable for their decisions renders participation in judicial proceedings one of the fundamental democratic activities
nowadays. The author also indicates that the trial (as a fundamental form of  communication between judges and citizens and a special phase of proceedings allowing the court to deeply examine the facts of the case and to learn the  prevailing understanding among citizens of the values and principles on which  the legal order is based) is a key measure to achieve the principles of procedural justice during the course of specific proceedings and to establish trust in the  third power before the public. Openness of judicial proceedings, especially the  trial, is a condition for the courts to maintain a reflexive attitude in the
process of ruling and thus to deepen the social legitimacy of the
judiciary based  on trust.

This article conducts a comparative study of Morris Weitz's The Role of Theory in Aesthetics and Lu Zhenglan and Zhao Yiheng's What Is Not Art: Defining Art from the perspective of Semiotics to analyze the art theory. Both summarize the previous definition of art. In his article, Weitz critiqued the predecessor's definition and theory of art and finally draw a conclusion that we should not define the flexible art with closed concepts. In the article What Art is not, the author pointed out that in response to the problem of “art generalization, the”"negative definition" is needed to analyze art. It can be said that both articles, explicitly or implicitly, have transformed the question of "What is art?" The former transforms this question into "what kind of concept does art belong to?", while the latter believes that the question of "what is art not" should be cleared up.

Transportation costs are the driving factors of the world trade growth, lower transportation costs can increase the competitiveness of a commodity. With the openness of the transportation services sector, transportation costs due to the removal of tariff and non-tariff barriers will be lower. Some of the commodities exported and imported by Indonesia are farm commodities thus how the policies influence their transportation cost needs to be known. Analysis was performed using the 2010 cross section data of 15 countries. The analysis result indicated that the transport services sector openess did influence the transport costs of imports yet it didn’t significantly influence the export transport costs.
