La revisión bibliográfica identificó transformaciones en las labores técnicas agrícolas y sistemas de cultivo papa (Solanum tuberosum) por grupos humanos asentados durante cientos de años en algunas zonas frías, de subpáramo y páramo en el departamento de Boyacá, en la época prehispánica, la llegada de los españoles, la colonia al siglo XIX, y el siglo XX y XXI. Estos cultivadores han aprovechado recursos naturales de terreno, suelo, temperatura y agua, organizando sistemas de producción agrícolas con empleo de técnicas que requieren de habilidades manuales e intelectuales. Se identificó que en la actualidad los agricultores de este tubérculo han adaptado instrumentos técnicos empleados desde antecesores de la cultura Muisca, con técnicas introducidas a la llegada de los europeos y tecnologías incorporadas al actual siglo XXI.

In order to meet their needs and perceptions, the children's early words have their origin Mama and Papa are acquired by German-born preschool children, who are commuting between Iraq and Germany. The study will be primarly contrastive in nature and focuses mainly on the characteristics of these parental terms in two different language communities. Furthermore, light will also have to be shed on this less researched and discussed issue by touching upon the learning challenges and difficulties of the kinship terms in Iraqi-Arabic and how could they be overcome. The data come from the author's daily observation of his German-born children, a four-years-old daughter, and a boy, who is three years old. In order to supplement and enrich the study, I conducted interviews with parents and their children that I personally know.

This article shows how in the Pāli Nikāyas, after having defined Eternalism and Nihilism as two opposed positions, Gotama makes a dialectical use of Eternalism as means to eliminate Nihilism, upheld to be the worst point of view because of its denial of kammic maturation in terms of puñña and pāpa. Assuming, from an Eternalist perspective, that actions have effects also beyond the present life, Gotama underlines the necessity of betting on the validity of moral kammic retribution. Having thus demonstrated the central ethical error of Nihilism, he subtly introduces peculiar Buddhist moral concepts (kusala/akusala) to purify the Eternalist vision from the doctrine of a real existing self (attāvāda) and from the puñña/pāpa dichotomy. We can summarize this dialectical course as follows: Nihilism is pāpa/akusala because it denies kamman, Eternalism is puñña/not-akusala because it upholds kamman from a non-Buddhist perspective, Buddhism is kusala because it admits the law of kamman not centered on a theory of a real existing self (anattāvāda).

This investigation was carried out to evaluate the effect of two cytokinins: 6-benzilaminopurine (BAP) (6.5 mg l-1) and kinetin (K) (2.5 mg l-1), as well as the growth inhibitor abscisic acid (ABA) (1.0 mg l-1) on the in vitro tuberization capacity of two potato varieties: Atlantic and Alpha. The basal culture medium MS (1962) was used as a control. The responses were different between varieties. In cv. Atlantic, the analysis of the number (NM), weight (WM) and diameter (DM) of microtubers indicated that the addition of growth regulators did not affect induction and development of microtubers. However, when BAP was used, a non-significant increment of 41 % was observed in the number of the microtubers compared to the control treatment, from 2.6 to 4.4. The addition of cytokinins and ABA to the medium did not have a significant impact on the development of microtubers. In cv. Alpha the cytokinins used without ABA increased the number of microtubers, which were larger and heavier than those of the control treatment. In this variety, ABA significantly reduced the values of the NM, WM and DM variables. The exogenous action of cytokinins in the culture medium is likely to have caused an endogenous hormonal imbalance in the Atlantic and Alpha genotypes which interfered with their innate microtuberization ability, a result that was even more evident for cv. Alpha, which showed the need to continue optimizing protocols of genotype-specific systems in potato tissue culture to increase yield and seed quality.

Potential distribution of crops in the state of Mérida is proposed using a models based on field data collection and environmental variables and its potential distribution in climate change scenarios (CC). The presence and absence of crops: potato, carrot, coffee, cocoa, and banana were registered, and the distribution for each was statistically estimated. Based on the representative concentration trajectories (RCP), spatial models were developed in CC scenarios. The cocoa crop shows a potential area of 3,62%, while the shade coffee crop presents a possible area of 20,33%. Current spatial models have a high climatic potential for the distribution of potato and shade coffee crops. In CC scenarios, coffee decreased the ideal area, while potato crops by 2100 lose 69% of the potential area.

"This paper explores the relevance of Richard O. Mason's article, “Four Ethical Issues of the Information Age”, as applied to the MIS community today compared to when the article was written in 1986. My research concluded that Mason's concept that ethical issues involving the protection against threats to out human dignity, are applicable today in 2012. Comparing and contrasting the ramifications of the concepts of our rights to privacy, accuracy, property, and accessibility, from 1986 to today, I was able to discover several facets, especially with the technological advancements (e.g. profiling and NORA) occurring during the Information Age.
