Digital financial inclusion can be a game changer for unserved and under-served low-income households as well as micro- and small enterprises. The regulatory, supervisory, and standard setting challenges - and likewise the solutions include those one currently face, and others one can only imagine as billions of new digital finance users go online. One has the opportunity and indeed the responsibility to prepare for both the risks and the rewards of the digitization of financial services.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether planned or unplanned purchases impact a consumer's willingness to pay for a subsequent purchase. We investigated the moderating roles of the justification heuristic and two different payment methods (individual payment vs. bundle payment). Three hypotheses were tested using a two-way ANOVA and an independent sample t-test. Our findings led us to the conclusion that, due to a conversion of mindset, a consumer's willingness to pay for a subsequent purchase will be higher in an unplanned precedent purchase situation than in a planned precedent purchase situation. For the planned purchase situation, a consumer's willingness to pay for the subsequent purchase did not turn out to be significant despite the use of the justification heuristic. For the unplanned precedent purchase situation, however, a consumer's willingness to pay for the subsequent purchase was found to be lower in the situation with the justification heuristic than in the situation without. This study also shows that a consumer's willingness to pay for a subsequent purchase will be higher in a bundle payment situation than in an individual payment situation.

This paper examines behavior in a tournament in which we vary the tournament prize structure and the available information about participants' skill at the task of solving mazes. The number of solved mazes is lowest when payments are independent of performance; higher when a single, large prize is given; and highest when multiple, differentiated prizes are given. This result is strongest when we inform participants about the number of mazes they and others solved in a pre-tournament round. Some participants reported that they solved more mazes than they actually solved, and this misreporting also peaked with multiple differentiated prizes. (JEL D82)

This paper has made an attempt to show that in a developing economy, agriculture and Special Economic Zones (SEZ) can go simultaneously without affecting one another if appropriate subsidy policy is designed by the government. We have considered increasing returns brought about by external economies of scale in the SEZ-led industrial sector with the help of Dixit-Stiglitz (1977) type of production function where resource used to produce each variety of the SEZ-good is itself produced using constant returns to scale (CRS) technology and CRS is also present in the agricultural sector.
