Bisher war im Zusammenhang mit der Publikation der ersten Bände von Heideggers Schwarzen Heften 1 eher von einem Fall Heidegger die Rede – ob man sich dabei nun auf den Skandal der Ausführungen Heideggers selbst 2 oder eher dessen Publikationsstrategie in Sachen Gesamtausgabe konzentrierte. 3 Die vorliegende kleine Publikation nun, eine Übersetzung aus dem Französischen, will da in Anwendung eines berühmten Vorbilds aus der schönen Literatur, nämlich Edgar Allan Poes The purloined letter, einen Fall Trawny konstruieren, der hier raffiniert in Szene gesetzt wird. Denn so wie bei Poe der besagte Brief am besten dadurch zu verstecken gewesen war, daß er offen auf dem Tisch lag und daher bei der polizeili-chen Durchsuchung nicht gefunden wurde, unterstellen die Autoren, Michè-le Cohen-Halimi und Francis Cohen dem Herausgeber der entsprechenden Heidegger-Bände, Peter Trawny, er habe den Antisemitismus Heideggers dadurch verborgen, daß er ihn enthüllte. While for Heidegger the science of race that emerged in the 19th century belongs to the history of being, itself caught up in the world domination of machination and technology, racial sciences demanded policies in institutions such as the German universities and related research institutes. Peter Trawny reminds us that, for Heidegger, the “’unconditionality’ of machination includes the absoluteness of ‘race thinking.’”  Yet it is one thing to believe that fundamental ontology escapes such absoluteness by situating it in the history of metaphysics as a perverse phenomenon of modernist subjectivism, and another to observe the impact of the explosion of sciences like Rassenkunde, Rassenhygiene, Vererbungslehre on philosophers and their projects in the 1930s. This concerns the relationship between hermeneutics, transcendental philosophy, on the one hand, and the legal, scientific, and political context on the other. How to think such complex interactions? More importantly, when scientific thinking unfolds as a radically critical project in service to the people and the nation—and thus at the level of what ultimately becomes collective delirium—how can we imagine that absoluteness of race thinking does not open to a claim about what-is, about the reality of concrete existence? Moreover, can the new and intersecting sciences of bodies and worlds not lead to some introduction of levels or types of lives, within existence itself? Can we imagine that an elaborate interest in the way beings inhabit their environments have no implications for the question of Being? Trawny has argued that “race thinking” in Heidegger receives a clear being-historical contextualization, and presumably this contextualization offers Heidegger the wherewithal by which to distance himself philosophically from race thinking. Yet biological questions, as broadly conceived as they were in the 1930s, surely proved difficult to bracket, despite Heidegger’s growing awareness of the limitations of National Socialist ideology. There is no question that relationships between environment, behavior, and the discourses of biology and life were philosophically fraught; no question either that the intuition of studying life within its life-world, or criticizing concepts such as “the survival of the fittest” or natural selection as bourgeois influenced were sometimes quite profound. Indeed, Heidegger had recourse to such intuitions in the works of Jakob von Uexküll in his 1929 Fundamental Concepts of Metaphysics. Perhaps one way to address the above-mentioned relationship between organisms, environments, and something like the levels of being is to focus on Heidegger’s approach to “life” in his philosophical works from 1927 to 1936.

This article in the form of “reflections” is devoted mainly to the image-building of Heidegger in Russia as a thinker of Being, a conservative critic of late modernity and a “post” philosopher. On the one hand, due to French post-modernism influence on late Soviet and post-Soviet philosophy Russia has developed a special interest in Heidegger’s deconstruction theory. On the other hand, the reception of Heidegger’s criticism of European nihilism, totalitarianism and machine technology as the manifestations of modernity has shaped significantly the account of the “political”. The specifics of Russian reception of Heidegger can also be traced in the rejection of strict division between the “core” of Heidegger’s philosophy and “accidental” conditions related to social and political aspects of his work in 1930s. The current discussion about recently published “Black notebooks” shows not only the fact of existence of a separate language of description and analysis in Russian philosophical field but also an original tendency to holistic consideration of Heidegger’s thinking including not only his existential and historical reflections but also political passages and criticism of civilizational discourse. In addition to the reviews of “Black notebooks” by N.V. Motroshilova, V.V. Mironov and D. Mironova in the last year’s issues of the magazine “Voprosy filosofii” there are earlier works by N.V. Motroshilova, V.V. Bibikhin and A.V. Gulyga related to the debate on Heidegger’s political and ideological commitment which are in focus of attention.

In the book "Heidegger and the myth of a Jewish world conspiracy", Peter Trawny convincingly shows that anti-Semitism in Heidegger's thought does not have the shape of the Nazi call for racial discrimination, but rather is a stereotypical and unfortunate element of Heidegger's call for a transformation of thinking so that philosophy and the human attitude to life would be focused on Being itself (Seyn selbst) instead of beings (Seiendes). Despite the advantages of Trawny's book, I think that Trawny unlawfully tries to demonstrate that anti-Semitism is the main ethical and political problem of Heideggerian philosophy, while in my opinion the main problem is Heidegger's "being-historical Manichaeism"-a phenomenon which is only marginally evoked by Trawny. This Manichaeism brings Heidegger to criticize the values of human subjectivity, personality and social and economic self-security as the enemies of Being. These views not only can have severe political collectivist implications, but-to put it in the terminology of Sein und Zeit-they also make Heidegger speak in the manner of the conservative variant of "idle talk" (Gerede) of "the they" (das Man).

Seubold vermutete damals, das Manuskript sei von Heidegger verliehen worden, ohne daß er es zurückbe-kommen hatte. Peter Trawny no es sólo uno de los expertos más reconocidos en la actualidad en la obra de Martin Heidegger, sino que también es un editor habitual de su monumental obra completa. En total ha colaborado en 8 de los volúmenes editados hasta ahora, de los cuales-sin duda-son los últimos tres (Überlegungen A, B y C-GA 94, 95 y 96) los que han causado mayor revuelo. Dichos volúmenes, como es sabido, llevan el título "Reflexiones", pero son más ampliamente conocidos como los "cuadernos negros". Se trata de una serie de anotaciones que Heidegger hizo entre los años 1931 y 1976 en la que su ya conocida, pero a la vez difusa vinculación con el régimen nazi, se expone de manera brutal y sin filtros. El antisemitismo que antes tan sólo se sospechaba o que cómodamente era confinado a la oscura esquina de las opiniones personales, es desde el momento de dicha publicación indesmentible y se transforma en un problema filosófico. Heidegger mismo parece hacer un esfuerzo en estas anotaciones por vincular ambas esferas, la filosófica y la política, de modo indisoluble, transformando, por ejemplo, el problema de la superación de la metafísica, en el problema de la lucha entre el pueblo alemán y el judío. El libro de Trawny, en cuanto introducción, pretende no sólo hacerse cargo de este muy problemático aspecto, sino que también de una gama amplia de temas que son considerados en general como los puntos inevitables de la obra del pensador de la selva negra. Su peculiaridad reside en que estos temas serán expuestos en vistas al despliegue político de Heidegger en los años treinta y cuarenta y es justamente esto, lo que la hace digna de lectura en un mercado saturado de introducciones a su filosofía sin un enfoque específico. En este sentido, parece ser necesario separar las aguas antes de entregar una evaluación integral del libro de Trawny. Es decir, por un lado, en cuanto introducción y su valía respecto de otros textos similares y, por otro lado, respecto del esfuerzo crítico y de la capacidad de "resolver", esto es, salvar del atolladero en el que el propio Heidegger ha puesto a su obra o sepultarla definitivamente. En cuanto a la introducción, se debe consignar que ésta, con 216 páginas, es relativamente sintética y que por tanto trata los temas, en ningún caso 1 Instituto de Filosofía.

Heidegger, a política e o antissemitismo: reflexões a partir do livro de Peter Trawny André Duarte Filosofia-UFPR/CNPq Resumo: O texto discute o livro de Peter Trawny, Heidegger e o mito da conspiração judaica mundial, em que o autor analisa o antissemitismo historial-filosófico contido em algumas sentenças dos Cadernos Negros de Heidegger. O livro é criterioso e contribui para a discussão da dimensão política da História do Ser de Heidegger, escapando às alternativas fáceis da defesa ou da condenação a priori de sua filosofia. Ao mesmo tempo, porém, considero exageradas as suas análises acerca das possíveis contaminações ideológicas entre o conceito heideggeriano da maquinação (Maschenchaft) e aspectos centrais da ideologia nacional-socialista veiculados pelos discursos de Hitler, sobretudo acerca de um suposto complô judaico internacional. Argumento que Heidegger recusa por motivos filosóficos o antissemitismo racial-biológico do Nazismo, ao mesmo tempo em que certas sentenças suas se caracterizam por um antissemitismo espiritual que compatibiliza algumas de suas especulações metafísicas com preconceitos antijudaicos disseminados pela ideologia nazista. Deste modo, aspectos de seu diagnóstico filosófico da modernidade acabam sendo expostos a um inquietante fundo de arbitrariedade. Ofereço ainda uma interpretação preliminar e provisória das principais sentenças antissemitas de caráter filosófico-historial encontradas nos Cadernos Negros já publicados, bem como inicio a reavaliação de algumas hipóteses interpretativas sustentadas por mim em estudos anteriores a respeito da relação entre filosofia, história e política no pensamento heideggeriano. Abstract: The text discusses Peter Trawny's book, Heidegger and the myth of a Jewish international complot, in which the author affirms that a philosophical anti-Semitism haunts Heidegger's Black Notebooks. Trawny's book matches good academic criteria and thus contributes to the discussion of political aspects of Heidegger's History of Being, overcoming the easy polemic gesture marked by an a priori defense or inculpation of the philosopher. At the same time, however, I also consider problematic and exaggerated Trawny's hypothesis concerning a supposed ideological contamination of Heidegger's concept of maquination (Maschenchaft) by Hitler's speeches about an alleged Jewish international complot. I argue that Heidegger's misleading philosophical sentences against the Jewish people do not come from racial and biological sources, which he clearly refused for philosophical reasons, but originate from some sort of spiritual anti-Semitism, thus exposing some dimensions of his metaphysical speculations concerning Modernity in the scope of his History of Being to sheer arbitrariness. I also offer a preliminary and provisory interpretation of the main anti-Semitic sentences found in the already published Black Notebooks and start a critical reevaluation of some theoretical hypothesis proposed by me in previous texts concerning the relation between politics, philosophy and history in Heidegger's thinking.

Le recenti e accese discussioni sulle annotazioni dei Quaderni Neri risalenti agli anni 1931-1941 hanno mostrato chiaramente in che misura la radicalità del pensiero di Heidegger sia in grado di condurre la ragione pubblica oltre i propri limiti. Da dove proviene questo pensare così selvaggio che rifugge volutamente ogni normalizzazione? Heidegger ha abbandonato ben presto la concezione comune della verità per una concezione ai suoi occhi più originaria: “la verità è, nella sua essenza, non-verità”. Si profila qui un itinerario che la democrazia della ragione e le sue istituzioni possono considerare solo come un pericoloso errore.

Erst vor kurzer Zeit legte Peter Trawny im selben Verlag eine sehr beach-tenswerte Studie zu Ernst Jünger vor, 1 der nun in einer anderen Reihe ein schmales Taschenbuch folgt, das sich mit einem geheimnisvoll klingenden Thema befaßt. Es geht nämlich um Heideggers esoterische Philosophie. Was aber kann Esoterik in diesem Kontext heißen? Trawny weiß, daß es verschiedene Modelle einer esoterischen Philosophie gibt, die weit davon entfernt sind, etwas mit Mystik oder Kabbala zu tun zu haben. Er nennt ausdrücklich die von Leo Strauss entwickelte esoterische Hermeneutik, die auf dem nach Auffassung Strauss' notwendigerweise esoterischen Charak-ter der Philosophie beruht (und nicht nur, wie Trawny anzunehmen scheint, durch das Problem der Verfolgung erzeugt wird; vgl. S. 38); und er nennt Hans Joachim Krämers esoterische Platon-Deutung, die sich stark von Strauss unterscheidet, aber maßgeblich wurde für die sogenannte Tübinger Platon-Deutung, die das Wesentliche der Platonischen Philosophie nicht in dem in den Dialogen dargestellten und verhandelten Denken sieht, sondern in einer metaphysischen Lehre, die nach Platon selbst nicht darstellbar ist und auch von ihm nicht dargestellt wurde. Heidegger selbst hat nun nach Trawny eine eigene Konzeption esoteri-schen Philosophierens entwickelt, denn Heidegger habe sich weder auf ei-ne mündliche Lehre kapriziert, noch sei er als Verfolgter im engeren Sinne zu verstehen (S. 38-39).
