Atomic numbers of Hydrogen, Helium, Boron, Neon, Calcium, Technetium, and Protactinium are members of a cryptic numerical progression series. Contextually, this research paper involves postulation and hypothesis formulation around some elements from the periodic table. The atomic numbers of these selected elements form a numerical series. Let’s call it an arithmetico-exponential series. The main assumption to decipher the existence of such a series is instigated by the occurrence of certain elements that behave very exceptionally.

The study of metaphysics requires a cosmology based on function models that will react to known circumstances to produces expected experiences. Until I learned about Rupert Sheldrake's Hypothesis of Formative Causation, the only approach to such a model that seemed even marginally useful was based on characteristics of the Mandelbrot Set. This essay explains how Sheldrake's morphic fields have been adapted to satisfy the black box analysis that resulted in the Implicit Cosmology; a model that has proven very useful for studying survival-related phenomena. Additional notes about Sheldrake's treatment by mainstream society are provided for perspective.

BACKGROUND: Although serum beta-2 microglobulin (B2M) represents a key variable for symptomatic multiple myeloma
(MM) prognostication, its role in predicting the risk of progression of asymptomatic MM to symptomatic disease
has not been explored. METHODS: This study was bases on a consecutive series of 148 patients with
asymptomatic MM and explored the cumulative probability of progression to symptomatic MM as the primary endpoint.
RESULTS: In univariate analysis, a serum B2M level >2.5 mg/L was associated with an increased probability of
disease progression (5-year risk, 64.5%; P < .001) along with serum monoclonal component (sMC) (P < .001), urinary
monoclonal component (uMC) (P < .001), and bone marrow plasma cells (BMPCs) (P < .001). In multivariate analysis,
serum B2M was selected as an independent predictor of progression (hazard ratio, 3.30; P¼.002). Serum B2M was
combined with sMC, uMC, and BMPC to create a risk-stratification model based on 4 groups with different risk of progression:
very low (5-year risk, 0%), low-intermediate (5-year risk, 19.6%), high-intermediate (5-year risk, 60.7%), and
high (5-year risk, 80.7%). The model that included serum B2M along with sMC, uMC, and BMPC was able to predict
disease progression better than the model that was based on sMC, uMC, and BMPC without serum B2M (C statistics,
0.760 vs 0.726). CONCLUSIONS: The current results indicated that 1) serum B2M is an independent predictor of
asymptomatic MM progression, and 2) serum B2M adds prognostic information when combined with the most widely
used prognosticators of asymptomatic MM progression.

Learning to live by a personal ethical code often means realigning our unconscious mind away from our human avatar’s survival instincts and cultural dogma we have been conditioned with over the years. Such a change in consciousness takes time and attention which comes through experience.
    Above all, think of a personal code of ethics as a lifelong way of learning. It is unlikely any of us are able to always live up to the ideas represented by a code of ethics. The most important thing is to set our intention to apply the code to our every action.

The study aims to understand ethnoreligious identities arguing that it is a politically significant resource for mobilization and essential for the stability and progression stalemate in the Western Balkans. Moreover, ethnic mobilization induces and spreads a sense of homogeneity and equality and a sense of security and power in the collective "We." The gap from democracy is motivated by the fear of competitive nationalist movements, and radical rhetoric leads political parties to succeed. The greater the fear and insecurity in society, the more people are dependent on the government and less instructed in measuring its objective results. If there is a conflict, the strengthening of "our" ethnic-confessional identity simultaneously strengthens the belief in the diversity of "others." The mutual consolidation of identity has a backlash against the importance of the conflict. That is why conflicts enter again into traditional Balkans' collective myths by which identity is continually affirmed. The practice of constant mobilization, i.e., collectivist homogenization, takes the place of democratic legitimacy, providing political elites with a base of power outside democratic procedures. The risk of current policies is not just the involvement of citizens in the conflict but also the exclusion of the majority of citizens from the political arena and making decisions for the community. Public (social, national, state) interest must not be equated with officials; justice sets boundaries. Emphasizing ethnicity instead of dialogue and transformation of a "utopian discourse" produces antagonisms and thus stagnates economic, political, and cultural development; an obstacle for EU integration. The paper explores several areas of game design which either stem or are closely connected to player agency. After a brief explanation of how player agency is different from the philosophical concept of agency, chapter one delves into problems directly resulting from player agency such as Heads-Up-Display immersion and flow from the perspective of the consumer. Chapter two analyses several cases in which game design was changed in order to accomodate for player agency and, in turn, how it can be used to encourage certain behaviours from the perspective of game designers. In the final chapter contained is a number of cases in which game systems bleed over to reality, e.g. in marketing campaigns. Some of them are positive, and others exploitative.

This paper addresses issues concerning planning for and assessing progression in children’s thinking in primary school history. It argues that it is necessary to assess progression within the framework of constructivist learning theories, applied to the processes of historical enquiry. First, it discusses early research into children’s ability to understand concepts of time, historical sources and interpretations. Next, it describes the structure of the English National Curriculum, introduced in 1989, in which pupils are required to apply the processes of historical enquiry to content, in increasingly complex ways. The problem of what is meant by progression in history led to a large-scale research project attempting to identify patterns of development. It is argued that this proved problematic, and the level descriptors for the English History Curriculum have subsequently been removed. The article concludes that, at the moment, progression can be best planned for based on small-scale case studies, which apply constructivist theories to historical enquiries. Finally, suggestions are given for how teachers can plan and evaluate both their own practice and their pupils’ progress.

Este trabajo aborda la planificación y evaluación de la progresión en el pensamiento de los niños en la enseñanza de la historia en Educación Primaria. Es necesario partir de las teorías constructivistas del aprendizaje aplicadas a los procesos de investigación histórica. En primer lugar se abordan las investigaciones sobre la capacidad de los niños para comprender los conceptos de tiempo, el uso de fuentes históricas y la realización de interpretaciones. A continuación se describe la estructura del Currículum inglés, introducido en 1989, en la que se requería que los alumnos aplicaran los procesos de investigación histórica de una forma cada vez más compleja. El problema sobre el significado de la progresión en historia llevó a un proyecto de investigación a gran escala que trató de identificar patrones de desarrollo. En este trabajo se plantean las problemáticas de los resultados de este proyecto, ya que posteriormente se han eliminado los descriptores de nivel para el Currículo Inglés de Historia. Se llega a la conclusión de que, por el momento, la progresión se puede planear mejor con base en estudios de caso a pequeña escala, donde se aplican las teorías constructivistas en las investigaciones históricas. Por último, se ofrecen sugerencias de cómo los profesores pueden planear y evaluar tanto su práctica como el progreso de los alumnos.

According into account the natural history of cervical cancer, where low- and high-grade preneoplastic lesions may present regression or progression phenomena, there is great interest in the search for biomarkers to predict the behavior of preneoplastic lesions of the cervix. These biomarkers may be of genetic origin, or epigenetics that alter the expression of genes and that may be associated with carcinogenesis in different types of human tissue. The objective of the study was to analyze the expression of the mRNA of the SFRP1, PTPRN, CDO1, EDNRB, CDX2, EPB41L3 and HAND1 genes in samples negative for cervical intraepithelial lesions (n = 9), low grade intraepithelial lesions (n=10) and high grade (n = 11). Expression analysis of the mentioned genes was performed using qRT-PCR and data analysis was performed using the non-parametric ANOVA test. The statistical difference was determined in values p <0.05. For the EDNRB and CDX2 genes, a 66.7% decrease was observed in the samples without cervical histological alterations, compared to a decrease in expression of 50% in LIEBG samples and 36.4% in the LIEAG group for the EDNRB gene And 27.3% for the CDX2 gene giving a statistically significant difference p = 0.02. Suggesting that EDNRB and CDX2 could be useful as potential biomarkers in cervical carcinogenesis.

The foundation assumption of this essay is that a person is an etheric personality entangled with a human body for a lifetime. And, that a person enters into a lifetime to gain understanding about the nature of reality through daily living experiences. It is argued here that part of gaining maturity is learning to manage the influence of human instincts while responding to the urge inherited from our etheric nature to turn toward particular experiences. Understanding is seen as the objective. Curiosity is seen as the perspective. Mindfulness is seen as a way of life.

Gliomas are the most common primary brain malignancies, with different degrees of aggressiveness, variable prognosis and various heterogeneous histologic sub-regions, i.e., peritumoral edematous/invaded tissue, necrotic core, active and non-enhancing core. This intrinsic heterogeneity is also portrayed in their radio-phenotype, as their sub-regions are depicted by varying intensity profiles disseminated across multi-parametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) scans, reflecting varying biological properties. Their heterogeneous shape, extent, and location are some of the factors that make these tumors difficult to resect, and in some cases inoperable. Background: Fear of cancer recurrence (FCR) is reportedly common, persistent, associated with significant morbidity and often higher in cancer caregivers than cancer patients. This review will summarise empirical research on FCR to understand its prevalence, severity, correlates, course and impact in families and caregivers of adults diagnosed with cancer, and identify tested interventions that reduce its effects. Methods: This review will include peer-reviewed, empirical, qualitative and/or quantitative studies on fear, worry or concern of patients' cancer returning or progressing among adult family members or caregivers of the cancer patient. It will exclude records reporting no original empirical research on FCR. We will search CINAHL, Embase, PubMed, PsycINFO, ProQuest Dissertations and Theses GLOBAL from 1997 onwards. Pairs of reviewers will conduct independent screening, data extraction and risk of bias assessment. Risk of bias will be assessed with the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool for randomised studies, the Risk of Bias Assessment tool for Nonrandomized Studies and the questions for qualitative studies in the mixed methods appraisal tool. We will conduct a narrative synthesis of quantitative studies and a thematic synthesis of qualitative studies.

Glaucoma is a leading eye disease, causing vision loss by gradually affecting peripheral vision if left untreated. Current diagnosis of glaucoma is performed by ophthalmologists, human experts who typically need to analyze different types of medical images generated by different types of medical equipment: fundus, Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer (RNFL), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) disc, OCT macula, perimetry, and/or perimetry deviation. Capturing and analyzing these medical images is labor intensive and time consuming. In this paper, we present a novel approach for glaucoma diagnosis and localization, only relying on fundus images that are analyzed by making use of state-of-the-art deep learning techniques. As a longtime student of personal improvement with a focus on theory, psi phenomena and mediumistic ability, I have been taught numerous techniques which, in hindsight, were based on essentially the same assumptions.
