RULA

Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) adalah sebuah metode untuk menilai postur, gaya, dan gerakan suatu aktivitas kerja yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan anggota tubuh bagian atas (upper limb). Metode ini dikembangkan untuk menyelidiki resiko kelainan yang akan dialami oleh seorang pekerja dalam melakukan aktivitas kerja yang memanfaatkan anggota tubuh bagian atas (upper limb) (Andrian, 2013).

Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) adalah sebuah metode dalam bidang ergonomi yang digunakan secara cepat untuk menilai postur leher, punggung, lengan, pergelangan tangan, dan kaki seorang pekerja. REBA memiliki kesamaan yang mendekati metode RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment), tetapi metode REBA tidak sebaik metode RULA yang menunjukkan pada analisis pada keunggulan yang sangat dibutuhkan dan untuk pergerakan pada pekerjaan berulang yang diciptakan, REBA lebih umum, dalam penjumlahan salah satu sistem baru dalam analisis yang didalamnya termasuk faktor-faktor dinamis dan statis bentuk pembebanan interaksi pembebanan perorangan, dan konsep baru berhubungan dengan pertimbangan dengan sebutan “The Gravity Attended” untuk mengutamakan posisi dari yang paling unggul.

Objectives: Work-related musculoskeletal disorders are a global problem which evolves at different workplaces such as industries, administrative, and agriculture sectors. In various studies, such disorders were assessed through multiple methods. It is necessary to evaluate different tools to use them in diverse communities. The aim of this study was to assess the validity of the new ergonomic evaluating method of Novel Ergonomic Postural Assessment (NERPA) method in Iran. Methods: The employees (n=455) of operational units of four companies (drug producers, printing and publishing houses, dairy, and drinks producers) were assessed in 2014. It was a cross-sectional and descriptive-analytical study. One of the researchers developed a questionnaire that was applied to collect demographic data. The NERPA, Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA), and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) methods were utilized to analyze posture risk factors. Spearman correlation and Kappa agreement were used to analyze the collected data through SPSS V22. Results: Findings indicated that printing company had the best and pharmaceutical industries had the worst state regarding RULA's results. The risk levels between NERPA and REBA were not statistically significant (P>0.05), however, that was significant with RULA's outcome. Also, the results of NERPA and other two methods were correlated significantly (P<0.05). Pain in the lumbar area was implied to be the most prevalent problem (35.1%). Discussion: Data of the present study suggest that NERPA method was a valid tool compared to RULA. The NERPA method could be used to evaluate standing tasks among industrial workers. However, the concurrent validity of NERPA method compared with results of REBA, as a widely used method, were not verified.

In this journal, the development of biomechanical methods for evaluating workloads which ergonomics will then be compared with the observation method. The observation method used is the SCANIA Ergonomics Standard (SES) and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) methods which will be used to assess ergonomic workloads on two simulation workstations such as tightening, loosening, or increasing the number of pipes, and carrying out other actions. Sensors are also used to measure biomechanical data (Inclinometers, Accelerometers, and Goniometers). The results obtained show an assessment of the risk factors of RULA and SES according to the final results using biomechanical methods. However, there is a mismatch in the neck and wrist posture. In conclusion, the biomechanical approach is more appropriate than the observation method, but several risk factors are evaluated by unmeasured observation methods with biomechanical techniques that have been developed.

Cotton spinning is an important operation in small scale and cottage textile industries in India. A large number of women workers in these industries perform cotton spinning task adopting squatting posture in traditional workshops. A Dutch Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (DMQ) was used to evaluate 40 operators regarding work related musculoskeletal disorders WMSDs. Among the operators, severe cervical and lumber joint problems along with knee, joint pains and shoulders were found more prevalent compared to other body regions. They were observed and evaluated with the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) technique and their exposure to the WMSDs was assessed. Based on the problems found, a new workstation was developed and ten operators were asked to work in the same workstation. Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı; özel gereksinimli çalışanların çalışma ortamında karşılaşabileceği ergonomik riskleri belirleyerek, risklerin kabul
edilebilir risk seviyesine indirgenmesi ile işin insana, insanın işe uyumunu
sağlamaktır. İnsanların, yaşam kalitesini arttırmak ve temel ihtiyaçlarını
karşılayabilmesi için çalışma hayatında aktif olarak rol alması gerekmektedir. Ülkemizde özel gereksinimli bireylerin çalışma yaşamına katılımı
ve sürekliliğin sağlanabilmesi için çalışma ortamı, çalışma duruşları, işin
yapılma şekli çalışanın özel gereksinim durumuna göre değerlendirilmelidir. Çalışma ortamında özel gereksinimli çalışanlar için yapılacak düzenlemeler; bireyin performansı ve verimliliğini arttırarak, diğer çalışanlarla
eşit haklara sahip olmasında da etkili olacaktır. Bu çalışanların çalışma
duruşları ergonomik açıdan değerlendirilerek; çalışan performansının
yükselmesi, iş veriminin artması, kas iskelet sistemi rahatsızlıklarının
azalması ve meslek hastalıklarının önlenmesi sağlanabilmektedir.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma kapsamında, ortopedik yetersizliği olan özel
gereksinimli çalışanlar için REBA ve RULA yöntemleri kullanılarak farklı
çalışma duruşlarında ergonomik tabanlı risk değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır.
Ergonomik olarak çalışma duruşları analiz edilirken, REBA (Rapid Entire
Body Assessment) Hızlı Tüm Vücut Değerlendirme Yöntemi ve RULA
(Rapid Upper Limb Assesment) Hızlı Üst Ektsremite Değerlendirme
Yöntemi kullanılabilmektedir. REBA yönteminde boyun, gövde, üst ve alt
uzuvlar birlikte değerlendirilirken, RULA yönteminde ise insan vücudunun bilek, alt kol ve üst kol gibi bölümleri ile boyun, gövde, bacak gibi
bölümleri değerlendirilerek toplam risk skoru hesaplanır.
Bulgular: Çalışma duruşları incelenerek yapılan risk analizlerinde; REBA
ve RULA skorları farklı değerlere sahiptir. Ancak bu farklı risk skorlarının
aynı risk düzeylerine karşılık geldiği görülmüştür.
Sonuç: Yapılan analizler sonucunda; çalışma duruşlarındaki risklerin ve
sağlık açısından kas iskelet sistemine verebileceği zararların risk düzeyleri
tespit edilerek ergonomik problemlerle karşılaşılabileceği gösterilmiştir.
