In a developing and globalizing world, there is a fierce competition between the supply chains of the companies. The supply chain of a product involves activities from manufacturing raw materials to a final product which is eventually delivered to end user. The Supply-Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) provides a standard description of supply chain processes, performance metrics, best practice and enabling technologies. The basic structure of the reference model inspects the five supply-chain processes: Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Return. The purpose of this study is to develop and show application of the SCOR model for the companies. In this study, articles on SCOR model are evaluated. Observations and recommendations are shared according to the research gaps in the literature.

Indonesia is the largest producer and exporter of palm oil in the world, beating Malaysia which was used to be the largest producer in the world. However, Indonesia’s derivative products still lag behind Malaysia because of low productivity. A good supply chain management is one of the causes why the development of Malaysia’s more superior to Indonesia. This paper aims to evaluate the performance conditions of valuable chain in palm oil industry from upstream to downstream currently based on SCOR® model. Not only based on theory, but this paper also considers the real case condition by doing benchmark between companies in Indonesia and Malaysia. The result shows that from five performance attributes of SCOR, only reliability, responsiveness and assets attributes that have gaps with the performance value of benchmarking target, while agility and cost attributes result the same value with benchmarking target. This means that palm oil mills in the Indonesia company that is benchmarked, needs to improve its supply chain related to those of third performance attributes.

— When supply chain management (SCM) meets Big Data Analytics (BDA), innumerable openings arise in academic research. Unfortunately, how analytics can be applied to supply chain processes is still unclear for both academics and industries. For that reason, the main goal of this study is to provide a clear understanding of the countless number of methods and techniques that are employed to analyze the using of BDA in SCM and help academics in mapping the newly available approaches to the real-world SCM issues. To better connect SC processes needs and what BDA offer, this paper provides a step-by-step approach in a wide-ranged overview of BDA-SCM. The review scrutinizes research works by using the supply chain operations reference (SCOR) model. This framework is based on three levels and will be used to perform a literature review of 805 academic publications from 2001 to 2017.

Lack of appropriate tools to model, evaluate and improve the supply chain is considered as one of the initiatives to major challenges to promote improvement among the firms in developing countries. The basic constituent of such models is the business processes. Firms in developing countries are lagging behind the recent trends of practices and researches. For continuous and sustainable improvement program that involves the entire supply chain including developing countries, it is necessary to have a well designed supply chain models that also consider the firms of the developing countries. The existing successful process-oriented models are highly dependent on the current business practices of the companies of the developed world. For both the new development and adapting of the successful models require the understanding of the characteristics of the existing supply chain processes and practices in the firms in a developing countries. The aim of this article is to identify the main...

Today, Big Data is definitely the key basis of competitiveness for enterprises in their Supply Chains. The outburst of data captured, accumulated and analyzed is impacting the value-chain at all levels from manufacturers to customers. This digital transformation is underway and will certainly follow exponential growth in future. In this paper, we develop a structured methodology to provide a deep analysis of Big Data Analytics methods across SCOR model processes. An exhaustive literature review is illustrated to afford a comprehensive Mind-Map cartography of current trends. The proposed approach points to a number of research concerns that need to be addressed by research community. Outcomes of this study may highlight relevant guidelines for upcoming works of both academics and industrials. Our objective is to provide an effective analysis to understand how Big Data Analytics become even more valuable for better Supply Chain Management.
