The Peshitta of Joshua 1:7 seems to support indirectly a shorter version of the verse as attested by the Septuagint, where the important theme of the Las of Moses seems to be lacking. Close examination of the versions in their own right,however, shows that they all tried to solve a logical problem in the text of Joshua created on the level of the redaction history of the Hebrew text. This paper pays attention to other passages in the Peshitta of Joshua as well.
