Zunehmend rückt Innovation in den strategischen Kern zur Sicherung der Überlebensfähigkeit von Unternehmen. Anpassungsfähigkeit der Organisationen ist dafür eine Voraussetzung. Diese Fähigkeit wird auch durch die individuellen Veränderungskompetenzen in der Organisation bestimmt. Um individuelle Veränderungskompetenz durch beobachtbare Verhaltensweisen und Persönlichkeitsmerkmale zu operationalisieren, wird eine interdisziplinäre Analyse vorgestellt. Die Überführung der Erkenntnisse daraus in ein Kompetenzkonzept ermöglicht die praxisorientierte Umsetzung. Dazu werden verschiedene Rollen in Veränderungsprozessen von Organisationen charakterisiert und dafür ein verbindendes Konstrukt der „Veränderungsintelligenz“ eingeführt, das alle Kompetenzen und Potenziale von Individuen zum erfolgreichen Umgang mit Veränderung betrachtet. Die abgeleiteten Verhaltensweisen eröffnen die Operationalisierung im Sinne einer Messung auf der einen und die gezielte Entwicklung von Veränderungsfähigkeiten auf der anderen Seite. Dafür werden geeignete Erfassungs- und Entwicklungsmethoden vorgestellt. Dies ermöglicht die konkrete Umsetzung von Diversity-Management im Innovationskontext.

Time-related dispositions of members are potentially crucial in teams and are likely to have important implications for team processes. In support, this study found that a mix of time-urgent and time-patient as well as monochronic and polychronic members in chef teams at a culinary college heightened disagreements over how temporal resources should be allocated. In addition, conscientiousness moderated the relationship between polychronicity diversity and temporal conflict such that low mean conscientiousness exacerbated the temporal conflict experienced by high-polychronicity diversity teams. In addition, a negative indirect effect of polychronicity diversity on team performance, through temporal conflict, was found when conscientiousness was lower. Study results provide support for the continued examination of temporal diversity and temporal conflict in teams.

Purpose – The purpose of this study was to investigate the conditional effects of power values diversity and relationship conflict.
Design/methodology/approach – We utilized a time-lagged survey design and multilevel modeling to investigate 60 teams working on a project task over the course of 4 months.
Findings –When participative safety climate was high, the presence of high power values diversity was particularly helpful for reducing relationship conflict. In turn, decreased relationship conflict tended to increase team performance. Additionally, when workload sharing was low, high relationship conflict was especially harmful to team performance.
Implications – Results support the consideration of team participative safety climate to better understand the conditions under which power values diversity is likely to lessen relationship conflict and subsequently increase team performance. Findings also highlight the importance of avoiding low workload sharing, in the presence of prominent relationship conflict, to increase team performance.
Originality/value – By examining relationship conflict as a mediator and participative safety climate as a moderator of power values diversity’s effects, we make a novel contribution to extant literature by helping to elucidate both how and under what conditions differences in power values, among team members, can influence team performance. Relatedly, we answer the call for more research that adopts a contingency approach toward examining the effects of values diversity and relationship conflict. In doing so, we help to identify the conditions under which power values diversity and relationship conflict are likely to differentially influence important team outcomes.

In technologiedominierten Märkten stehen Unternehmen vor der Herausforderung, beständig innovieren zu müssen, um im Wettbewerb bestehen zu können. Innovation rückt damit in den strategischen Kern und bestimmt die Überlebensfähigkeit der Organisation, Innovation muss daher strategisch geführt werden. Diese strategische Führung muss auf organisationale Anpassungsfähigkeit gerichtet sein. Dies wird auch als Dynamische Fähigkeit („Dynamic Capability“) der Organisation bezeichnet und beschreibt die Fähigkeit, die Vernetzung relevanter Ressourcen in Reaktion oder besser Antizipation auf Marktdynamik zu (re-)konfigurieren. Die Umsetzung dieser Fähigkeit setzt u.a. Adaption auf Ebene individueller Mitarbeiter voraus. Das heißt, das Handeln und Verhalten der Mitarbeiter muss zielgerichtet beeinflusst werden können. Die dafür traditionell eingesetzten, operativen Instrumente der Personalentwicklung (PE) werden jedoch meist organisational getrennt und zeitlich deutlich nachgelagert zur Strategieformulierung entwickelt. Daher wird hier ein Ansatz vorgestellt, der diese Trennung aufhebt und im Gegenteil Prozesse strategischer Innovation und der Organisations- und Personalentwicklung (OE/PE) integriert – strategiefokussiertes Kompetenzmanagement. Dafür werden relevante individuelle Kompetenzen als Basis dynamischer Fähigkeiten abgeleitet und durch beobachtbare Verhaltensweisen operationalisiert. Durch Rückkoppelung dieser Ergebnisse sowohl in Strategie- als auch PE-Prozesse können gezielte individuelle Entwicklungsmaßnahmen zur Steigerung der Innovationsfähigkeit abgeleitet werden. An einem konkreten Fallbeispiel wird die erfolgreiche Anwendung in einem Technologieunternehmen illustriert.

Geographic dispersion has been proposed as one means to promote cooperation and coordination in teams high in perceived diversity. However, research has found mixed support for this assertion. This study proposes that the inclusion of perceived distance helps to explain these mixed results. To test this assertion, we examined 121 teams—62 collocated and 59 geographically dispersed. Results demonstrate that perceived distance explains when geographic dispersion benefits teams high in perceived diversity. Results also indicate that the type of perceived diversity matters (surface-level vs. deep-level diversity). This study contributes to our understanding of distance and diversity in teams.

Today, teams are a key resource for learning and work in organizations and this has increased the importance of designing team-based structures. Diversity management teams is something that managers should consider when Team building. The effect of team diversity on team outcomes and its moderating variable,hasn’t completely identified yet in Iran. Therefore, given the importance of, this study examined the effects of team diversity (including diversity in age, gender, education, ethnicity and Islamic work ethic) on team commitment and team identity and moderating role of team size in this relationship are paid. for this purpose, members of the project teams productive and advisory organizations Tehran city are selected as the statistical community and then The 202 number of study questionnaires were distributed between samples that after gathering the questionnaires، they were decreased to 54 teams by using of integration method to convert individual level data to group level data. The results of this study showed that Islamic work ethic has a positive and significant effect on team Cohesiveness. also team cohesiveness has a positive and significant effect On team identity. On the other hand, team size doesn’t moderate the relation among team diversity, conflict and team cohesiveness.
