Tiepolo

Giambattista Tiepolo painted at least four altarpieces for the city of Piove di Sacco, on the Venetian mainland.
For the archipriestal Church of St. Martin he delivered a "Madonna of the Mount Carmel between St. Catherine and Archangel Michael", whose iconographic meaning and commision is first described in this paper.
For the small Church of San Nicolò, Tiepolo depicted two altarpieces, of which only one survives. Some new documentary evidence is published in this paper.
In the end, a never-studied painting for the Church of San Vido, which the author suggests to recognise in the "Madonna of the Rosary between St. Hyacinth of Poland and St. Dominique" of the Chicago Art Institute.

In 2012, Denis Ton assigned to Giambattista Tiepolo the frontispiece of Caroli Sigonii Mutinensis. Opera
omnia edita, et inedita engraved by Francesco Zucchi in 1732. The attribution is confermed by the drawing
in Uffizi, Inv. GDSU, cat. S, n. 783
