What is life?

The phenomenological question of consciousness usually associated with Husserl (although there are echoes of this in Augustine as in Marcus Aurelius, Kant and Schopenhauer), is the consciousness of the now, the present moment. I explore this consciousness for Erwin Schrödinger, which for him included reference to the Upanishads together with Nietzsche’s central teaching or “thinking” of the eternal recurrence of the same.

The living symphony of life sounds from deep within the microphysical, representing the veritable completion of the fabled Great Chain of Being. This sketch from 2015 can be coordinated with a much more concrete, recent description of the fundamental physical system of living motion and psychical reality at issue (especially the chirality that deeply informs musical thematics) now to be found in the author's 'Carlyle and the Idea' (2018) at Academia.Edu, toward which interested readers of this rough sketch are directed as a kind of paved road ahead.

Conference participation is free of charge, however, registration is required.

Call for Papers. There will be parallel short paper sessions. If you want to present a paper, submit your abstract (max. 4.000 characters) related to the conference topic and a short CV in a way that it reaches the contact address by 15th November 2014. We will communicate by the end of November which papers are accepted. The most interesting abstract will be awarded a full conference stipend (travel, food and accommodation).

Zarządzanie posthumanistyczne to zarządzanie na miarę antropocenu, wywodzące się z zarządzania humanistycznego, a stojące w opozycji do dominujących koncepcji zarządzania ekonomicznego, których nie sposób nie uznać współodpowiedzialnymi za, stanowiące fakt współczesności, kryzys klimatyczny, kryzys nierówności i kryzys demokracji. Zarządzanie posthumanistyczne proponuje radykalną zmianę w stosunku do dominujących i praktykowanych koncepcji zarządzania polegającą na przeformułowaniu pojęcia zasobów, mianowicie ich upodmiotowienie poprzez przyznanie im sprawczości i godności. Radykalizm zabiegu polega na upodmiotowieniu nie tylko tzw. zasobów ludzkich, czyli ludzi, ale także wszelkich aktorów pozaludzkich powiązanych z procesami organizowania, wśród których dominujące definicje zarządzania wymieniają zasoby informacyjne, finansowe i fizyczne. W toku wystąpienia zastanowię się czy upodmiotowienie, równouprawnienie pomijanych dotąd i wykluczanych w dyskursie organizacyjnym INNYCH, poprzez uznanie ich sprawczości i godności, czym zbliżone zostają one do ludzi, zwierząt, roślin, oznacza konieczność ich ożywienia? A może wymaga ono reorganizacji naszego rozumienia tego, co żywe i nieżywe? Czy może implikuje ono konieczność relacjonistycznego, w duchu teorii aktora-sieci, rozprawienia się z dualizmem żywe/nieżywe raz na zawsze?
