La Pared Beach in Luquillo, Puerto Rico with a Red Flag which means the area is not safe to swim
A tsunami threat to Puerto Rico and the USVI was enacted after the quake, as sea level fluctuations and strong ocean currents could have been a hazard along coasts, beaches, in harbors and in coastal waters, the warning has since been redacted.
Residents in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are still advised to move out of the water, off the beach and away from harbors, marinas, bays and inlets and not go to shore.
This is a developing story.
