About this audiobook
Talia Hibbert
Talia Hibbert is a New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling Black British author who lives in a bedroom full of books. Supposedly, there is a world beyond that room, but she has yet to drum up enough interest to investigate. She writes sexy, diverse romance because she believes that people of marginalised identities need honest and positive representation. Her interests include beauty, junk food, and unnecessary sarcasm.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is just beautiful, the characters are amazingly written and you fall in love with them, as they fall in live with each other. Perfect. The narration is great too, well chosen.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I liked this so much, that I barely know what to do with myself now, that it's over.
I loved how much I felt like, I knew the characters. From what they did, what they said and what they thought. I couldn't help laughing and crying and somehow I feel like, I'm going to miss them.
I don't have anything negative to say. Not one tiny thing! AND on top of that, the narrators gets a huge "chefs kiss" from me as well.
10/10 would recommend.1 person found this helpful

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I am hooked on Talia Hibbert. This story was especially beautiful. The depth of the characters in this books - as with all Hibbert's work - is fantastic. The narrators were also exceptional.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The first Talia Hibbert Queer book I've read
I loved it! Like I love ALL of Talia's books. The hint of autism in Griff and the depression that Olu struggles with speaks to me. And I love that they are perfect for each other and can help each other through their struggles.
A perfect HEA/HFN!
4.75 stars - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The narrators made this interesting. Otherwise, for the most part it wasn't interesting. Not because the author is a bad writer, I think they really are so good. But it dragged too much, there was soo much telling, too much, and not enough showing or doing.
This came across a lot in the metaphors and similes, which beautiful as they were, started to get boring and repetitive. As soon as a new item, person, body part, feeling is described... You know you're about to hear it compared to something else. It became really tedious.
It gets a bit better, but only towards the end. I'd definitely read a work by this author again, to see if any notes and lessons were taken from this book. But I wouldn't recommend this book. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5When I first started listening to this book I was sure I wouldn't finish it. It seemed long winded and kind of boring. I didn't really care for the characters and then all of a sudden I'm interested and invested and I loved the characters and story. So glad I didn't give up on this book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Usually I always have at least one or two things that doesn't sit quite right with me about any given book, but not this one. It's wonderfully cohesive, believable and immersive, with characters that are equal and real.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What an incredible story! The complexity of the characters, the pacing was impeccable and I am so glad it wasn’t all misunderstanding but something bigger behind their ‘separation’. This is definitely one of my newer favorite author! Bravo
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was perfect! I like how the writer was able paint the picture of 2 actual men. ...most writer’s pictures tend to portray one man lesser than the other, like the relationship between a man and woman... Good work to the narrator too??

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The book has some great character depth. But Olu is such a jackass. And he doesn't stop being a jackass. That's not his character growth journey. If it wasn't for being big Talia Hibbert fan, I would have DNF this book
