About this audiobook
Based on their highly acclaimed and groundbreaking Procrastination Workshops and drawn from a wealth of shared counseling experience, psychologists Jane B. Burka and Lenora M. Yuen offer a probing, sensitive, and sometimes humorous look at procrastination, a problem that affects everyone: students and scientists, secretaries and executives, homemakers and salespeople.
By identifying and examining the reasons we put off tasks in the first place — fears of failure, success, control, separation, and attachment, as well as our concept of time and the neuroscience of our brain — Procrastination lays important groundwork for learning how to understand the impulse to delay and how to take action in new ways. Burka and Yuen’s is a practical, tested program designed to overcome procrastination by achieving goals, managing time, enlisting support, and handling stress. It takes into account the demands of an accelerated, 24/7 culture, as well as the impact of such neurocognitive conditions as ADHD and executive dysfunction. It even provides helpful tips on living and working with the other procrastinators you may know.
Wise, effective, and easy-to-use, Procrastination is an immediate must-have for anyone who wants to avoid putting things off until tomorrow. Don’t postpone listening to it today!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Life doesn't always give us what we want. When facing the things we have to do but we don't want to do. The procrastination happens. It is so important for us to learn how to manage and deal with the resistance and negative mentality. This book told me so much useful information and shared so many strategies which I can use directly. Grateful and thankful to listen.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This book disappointed me from chapter one ?? had high hopes but the moment they said “child’s grades also determine how well he can use his creativity and focus on tasks” I was gone ?♀️ you should procrastinate on reading/ listening to this one.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The narrator put me to sleep, if I was to be positive I could say some may find her soothing.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book has made me understand the roots of procrastination and what it really entails.
Makes sense
I'll definitely read this again. - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Not useful. the book meanders through a series of long, detailed explanations about why people procrastinate, and why some people procrastinate to a point that is damaging, then falters. Given that most of the readers who actually finish the book are probably people who are trying to find strategies for coping with procrastinaters, it is a shame that the weakest section in the book is the one on dealing with procrastinationin others. The authors give a direct, easily understandable list of "don't's" then follow up with some incredibly vague, unhelpful advice on "negotiating." Really, this one is not worth reading.
