About this ebook
So as you read each poem youll be reading a piece of my life in which I wrote while going through a storm in which God saw me through. So I hope through my words you too will find strength and encouragement in your lifes as well when in storms.
Violet M. Laasch
I just want to take a little time to tell all the poetry lovers a little about myself and why I put this collection of my poetry together in “Poetry from the Heart”. I’m 42 years old and all my life I loved sitting off by myself to read, write or draw. Growing up my mom always encouraged me to do that which made me happy and because of that, I’ve chosen to use this collection of my poetry in this book to self publish. Since my mom’s passing 13 years ago, my husband, our three girls and five grandbabies have become my strength in continuing to write. All my life was full of storms that had me up and down with many mishaps. Some of these storms tried my faith and others tried my belief, but while in the storms I found calling on God and writing helped me through each storm I faced.

I dedicate this book to my best friend (my beloved mom), who was always an inspiration and encouragement for my writing. I also dedicate the book to my loving husband, our beautiful daughters, and our precious grandchildren.

Without a name
missing image fileWithout a name you’ve no identity
Without a name you become as one
that’s lost
Without a name you fall and no one’s
there to lift you up
Without a name you’re all alone in this
world
Without a name who are you?
What’s in a name?
What’s a name got to do with who you
are?
A name makes a difference to those who
are in authority
A name gives you an identity to go on
For without a name you’ll have no one
watching out for you
Without a name you become lost to those
all around you
Without a name who are you?
What’s in a name?
What’s a name got to do with who you are?

A place to lay your head each
new night
A place to sit and relax with
family
A place to call your own
A place to run and play
A place to jot down your thoughts
We’re here but just for a moment
of time
Our voyage though this world’s to
prepare us for our home in all eternity
As we pass through this life our fleshly
bodies we’ve got to remember it’s but
for a season
Our home’s somewhere beyond the blues
We’ve a choice of which home in eternity
we’ll be
God’s opened all of heaven so we can have
a home full of peace, joy, and love
Satan’s prepared a place in hell for those
which chose to spend all eternity in a lake
of fire
Our home’s which ever place we chose
Our home’s somewhere beyond the blues.
