About this ebook
Cej
Cej takes his many years of life experience in living love and relationships to inspire a landscape of poetic works. His search for balance in life as a romantic spawns a truly honest retrospective lens on how fleeting love can be and how deep it can cut. From a single college student to years of marriage have provided the research necessary to speak openly about what it means to deal with the bad flow of emotions. Cej is never afraid to admit his vulnerabilities through words and expressions that grab you by the throat and slowly squeeze you down the path of conflict he has lived. Cej is a poet with no high claim to intellectual fame but fosters his words from heartfelt reality meant to reach anyone that encounters his pieces. His writing voice was raised in the urban communities of New York City, from the South Bronx through Flatbush, and ultimately South Jamaica. Growing up without a father made poetry the missing parent in his life, building on layer and layers of observations and experiences.

Foreword
One of the most frightening thing to the human emotion is revealing publically your vulnerabilities and transgressions. They make us imperfect humans, almost weak to the judgmental eyes of family, friends, and strangers. For over thirty years in poetry, I chronicled my deepest emotional thoughts. My poetry is like snapshots in a photo album. They represent to gambit of real and reconstructed feelings that string throughout relationships past and present. They tell you how I evolved from friendship to utter hopelessness in a quest for true romance and back. I am a hopeless romantic. I still believe romance is possible for everyone. We each have to choose to take the quest necessary to arrive at that destination. This book is a dedication to the good, the bad, and the ugly of relationships in order to come to the place I am today. Often people will read a collection like
