A crow's feather
Black against the yellow moon
Torn away from it's place
Far too soon...
a single blight across
the midnight sky,
the evidence of a murder
falling gently.
Glossy black,
Stolen with glee...
I want to take the feather
Home with me.
A serial killers love letter
My own true love,
The letters I have sent
The news called demented.
I carved each of them
With the most care,
Just as though you were
Standing there...
And left them for you to see...
Flesh splayed out...
Perfectly.
A Single Candle
Do not rage against the dying light,
When you still have a single candle
Left that you can light.
You are not as helpless as you feel,
Though the molehills grow quite quickly,
For mountains take millennia to develop.
Stealing another's candle
will increase your light,
