About this ebook
Milton Sipple
Born in November 1937, Milton grew up on a small farm just outside of Erie, PA. He attended Gannon and Edinboro colleges, where he studied English and Philosophy. He married and raised 3 girls while working for many years at AT&T. Later, he left his job to pursue a career as an antique dealer and furniture restoration specialist, which he continues to this day. Milton later married again gaining a step-daughter, and raised a son who is an environmental educator and the nature photographer for this book. Starting in the 1960s, Milton developed a love for writing poetry and hoped to someday publish his works in a book. This dream was to wait another sixty years before finally becoming a reality with this long awaited collection. Milton lives on a small homestead in Saegertown, Pennsylvania and has resided there since 1962. He has developed a strong interest in gardening and preserving nature on the property. Recently he began raising monarch butterflies as a summertime hobby.

Introduction
Herein you will find my poems written back in the 1960’s and early 70’s while I was going to college part time to be an English teacher.
I was influenced by the beat poets at the time. The ones that went to the coffee shops and read their poems. People either liked them or didn’t. Some became famous like Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Ezra Pound, and others.
These are simple expressions of how I felt at the time from deep inside. I tried to use the right words to express the feelings I had.
Some of these poems are as relevant today as they were back then. While the country is complicated, people are complicated, and I doubt it will ever end. But maybe if you ever read a poem and see how I felt, maybe you might understand better.
