Sport psychology has become widely applied in coaching practices to assist in athletic success. Despite the increased use, there is a lack of evidence-based sport psychology information available to coaches in the form of informal sources. The aim of this study was to conduct a pilot test to explore coaches’ perceptions and use of an evidence-based sport psychology website. Eight coaches participated in semi-structured interviews. Based on engagement, five of the coaches’ data was analyzed using thematic analysis on their experiences and revealed two main themes, website use and website enhancements. The remaining three coaches’ data was analyzed for their reasons for having limited engagement with the website and used to help identify ways it could be enhanced. In general, coaches perceived the website to be a reliable source that offered practical information (e.g. worksheets) that could be used directly with athletes, and was perceived as easy to navigate and to access information. There were, importantly, various improvements suggested for the website including delivery modality and guides for navigating the order for reading the information. This study offers evidence on the value of online resources in providing coaches with informal and evidence-based sport psychology learning opportunities, and also addresses a number of barriers to engagement as insight for website developers.

Helping students understand, empathize, and collaborate across differences is an essential part of education. Understanding new perspectives enriches people socially, by providing ways to connect with others; cognitively, by offering new ways of thinking; and emotionally, by building empathy. As communities become more diverse and needs for inclusion are at the forefront, understanding others' views and experiences is an increasingly valuable skillset. However, without exploring one's own thinking patterns, individuals may reflexively judge different ways of thinking. Therefore, teachers and students both need guidance to challenge unconscious assumptions and biases. This chapter will present a Socratic tool, Change Your LENS, to guide the process of examining assumptions, identifying influences on one's thinking, and actively exploring new perspectives. Both theoretical foundations and practical information for implementation will be discussed with a focus on how to use the tool to understand differences and challenge long-held assumptions.

В настоящее время накоплено значительное количество экспериментальных данных, фиксирующих процесс протекания химических реакций. Анализ этих данных комплексом алгоритмов Data Mining дает важную практическую информацию для поиска эффективных условий проведения реакций, при которых получается максимальное количество целевого продукта при минимальных затратах. В данной работе на примере работы с базой, содержащей данные о протекании реакции карбонилирования различных олефинов, показано, как разработанный нами программный комплекс позволяет извлечь полезные знания, способствующие повышению эффективности химических реакций. At present, a significant amount of experimental data has been accumulated, recording the process of the occurrence of chemical reactions. Analysis of these data by a set of Data Mining algorithms provides important practical information for finding effective conditions for carrying out reactions, at which the maximum amount of the target product is obtained at minimal cost. In this paper, using the example of working with a database containing data on the course of the carbonylation reaction of various olefins, it is shown how the software package developed by us allows us to extract useful knowledge that contributes to an increase in the efficiency of chemical reactions.

Chapter 8 continues the translation of Netra Tantra Chapter 6 as the topic shifts from oblation to maṇḍala. The theoretical basis for this analysis relies on understanding the nature of mantras from Chapters 1 and 2 and the initiation rites of Chapter 5. Because the Netra Tantra itself offers only practical information about maṇḍala use in ritual, the analysis turns to two other texts, the Mālinīvijayottaratantra and Cakrasamvara Tantra, to examine the written form of the mantra and colors of the maṇḍala. The chapter shows how the embodied mantra is placed onto the maṇḍala, thus activating it. Again, proper performance is necessary for the correct outcome. The colors of the ritual objects and maṇḍalas point to their efficacy.

Small cell carcinoma of hypercalcemic type (SCCOHT) is a rare gynaecological neoplasm, originating mostly in the ovaries. Cervical origin of this very aggressive malignancy with unknown histogenesis is an extremely rare condition, without published management recommendations. Alterations in SMARCA4 gene are supposed to play the major role in SCCOHT oncogenesis and their identification is crucial for the diagnosis. Adequate genetic counselling of the patients and their families seems to be of great importance. Optimal management and treatment approaches are not known yet but may extremely influence the prognosis of young female patients that suffer from this very resistant disease. Nowadays, a translational research seems to be the key for the further diagnostic and treatment strategies of SCCOHT. The purpose of the case report is to provide practical information and useful recommendations on the diagnosis, management, and treatment of SMARCA4-deficient carcinoma of the uterine cervix resembling SCCOHT.

Purpose This paper aims to discuss the importance of an effective internal whistleblowing system in building a more ethical organizational climate. Design/methodology/approach This study draws on the literature to make recommendations for organizations, managers and boards of directors regarding implementing an effective whistleblowing process. Findings This paper offers practical information on what constitutes an appropriate level of preparedness and responsiveness. Organizations can reinforce their internal ethics by encouraging whistleblowers to report complaints internally. An effective whistleblowing process depends on the organization’s desire to build an ethical climate and its awareness of the power of whistleblowing as an ethical tool. Originality/value This study will help managers and other professionals to create and maintain an ethical climate by implementing an effective whistleblowing process. The discussion in this paper is important for any type of organization concerned with empowering whistleblowers and the whistleblowing process.

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the safety of ship berthing operations at port dock. Based on the features of ship’s berthing operations and the relevant literature, the safety factors (SFs) of ship berthing at port docks are first investigated. A gap assessment model based on Fuzzy AHP is then proposed to assess the perceived differences on those SFs between port marine pilots and shipmasters. Finally, the ships’ berthing operations at Kaohsiung Port in Taiwan were employed to illustrate the model’s practical application. The result may provide practical information for both marine pilots and shipmasters to improve the safety performance of ship berthing operations at port docks.

The presented work contains an analysis of seroprevalence, tension, and duration of post-vaccination immunity to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the residents of the Republic of Belarus after immunization with two vaccine preparations available in the country: Sputnik V and Vero Cell.It was found that seroconversion after the injection of the Vero Cell vaccine occurred significantly later than after the Sputnik V vaccine (p < 0.001). Nevertheless, two-stage immunization with the vaccines provided a sufficiently high efficiency of the inoculated antibodies to the S protein of the COVID-19 pathogen: the proportion of seropositive persons reached 99.19 [96.89; 99.97] % for Sputnik V and 96.03 [90.81; 98.53] % for Vero Cell. The efficiency of antibody formation after immunization with the Vero Cell vaccine was lower in older persons (in the group > 65 years). The proportion of individuals with the highest IgG score for the SARS-CoV-2 S protein was higher after the Sputnik V administration compared to that in response to the Vero Cell vaccine (p < 0.05), and gradually decreased over time. However, no significant decrease in the level of seropositive individuals after 90 days from the start of immunization with the both vaccine preparations was detected. In COVID-19 survivors immunized with the Sputnik V vaccine, the quantitative indicators of post-vaccination antibodies reached their peak values after 1 dose of the vaccine. The obtained results complement the accumulated world science and practical information on the problem of the postvaccination immunity formation in the context of the use of different drugs against COVID-19.>< 0.001). The chapter provides new school social workers with practical information about how they can make themselves indispensable to school administrators. Social workers must collaborate with administrators and fully understand their roles within the district because these leaders directly impact the social worker’s tasks and duties. Social workers are advised to learn about the organizational structure of the district and the roles of the school board, the superintendent, and principals. They should observe the leadership styles displayed by administrators and learn what their goals are and what data they need from the social worker. The chapter details a practical plan for developing and nurturing working relationships with administrators, along with strategies for linking the social worker’s goals with those of administrators.

This chapter reviews the roles of pediatric psychologists in critical care settings. Assessment and intervention strategies are discussed while also highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration. Relevant literature is reviewed while also providing practical information regarding psychology practice in these complex settings. The authors summarize adverse psychiatric sequelae and risk factors during and after the critical care admission. The consultation and liaison roles of psychologists, including assessment and intervention, health promotion, interprofessional team support, and familial support through biopsychosocial and developmental frameworks, make a case for the value they bring to critical care teams. The chapter also reviews the key knowledge, skills, and attributes necessary for psychologists to function effectively within pediatric critical care settings.
