http://www.imagesup.net/?di=113583034021 HBGDF are zero force members. Nominally that is. Since the various members have some mass, there will be some limited force in all of them. The top triangle is in compression. The bottom is in tension as is the center vertical member. Just think about pushing down on the apex, and what kind of force that would put in the members. BH can't have any load in it. because AHG wouldn't oppose it. That being the case, then BG can't have any load in it because ABC can't oppose it. The same is true on the other side
