Emergency Lighting Is Needed:

routes

safe movements towards and through the exits

Low mounted way guidance systems are intended to

complement emergency escape lighting systems and can only
be used as stand alone systems when they meet all the
relevant recommendations of BS 5266pt7/EN 1838

Identification of Exit and Escape Routes
Signs complying with the Signs Directive are

required at all emergency Exits and along Escape
routes
Where direct sight of a sign is not possible a
directional sign or series of signs must be used
There should be no ambiguity as to which direction
the escape route follows

Note format of pictogram signs should not be mixed - EN 50172

to ensure the safety of people involved in
hazardous processes and allow proper shut down
