Lesson On Minimum Wage

This lesson plan focuses on teaching students about minimum wage. The lesson will have students split into two groups to research and argue for either raising or keeping the minimum wage the same. Students will then share their own opinions on the issue. The goal is for students to form a complete argument based on their personal views. Formative assessment will include observing student discussions. Students will complete an exit slip summarizing their view as a summative assessment to check understanding. The teacher will reflect on student understanding, engagement, and needed adjustments to improve future lessons.
