Goal: To prevent/minimize the complications of scabies
To prevent recurrence or spread
To help pt performs ADL with assistance into total independence.
To help pt to cope with positive manner which is essential for future planning.
To be able the members of family to understand the disease and be a part of ptǯs
recovery by continuing care and support at home.
M-edication
Instruct the patient/family to continue prescribed oral/cream medications given and to
take them on time.
E- xercise
Instruct the family to assist pt on exercising the affected side of the body and independently
on the unaffected side.
Light massage can also be done by the family to increase circulation.
T-reatments
1. Instruct patient to apply the cream at bedtime, from neck down to toes, covering the
entire body.
2. Advise patient to report any skin irritation.
3. Suggest the family members and other close contact of the patient be checked for possible
symptoms and be treated if necessary.

Instruct the pt to return for scheduled follow up, check up and frequent communication to
ensure continuity of ptǯs care and recovery.
If new problem or complication arises, follow up for general care and medication renewal

Instruct to feed foods reach in vitamin C and A
Vitamin C are citrus fruits, tomatoes, potatoes,cabbage,and peppers,vitamins c is needed for
adequate body functioning because of its importance in tissue healing, resisting
infections,collagen repair, and aiding in response to stress.
Vitamin A is necessary for healthy epithelial tissues in the skin,l major foos sources include
beef,liver,green leafy vegetables, yellow or orange vegetables,milk, cheese and eggs
Adequate fluid intake.

Advice is always essential to give guidance and hope for the pt.
