For effective and easy workflows it is possible to transfer project data between the SIMARIS software tools. Each of the tools can of course also be used individually. SIMARIS design efficient dimensioning

Savings potential in the planning stage SIMARIS design can be used to dimension electric networks based on real products with a minimum of input from the medium-voltage level to the socket outlet. This software reduces your overall planning expenses for power distribution systems, minimizes the selection and dimensioning time for the necessary equipment, and offers a high degree of planning reliability into the bargain. Customized dimensioning Based on the requirements of the specific power distribution system, SIMARIS design safely and reliably dimensions a system solution from a broad product portfolio which is in compliance with all the relevant standards (VDE, IEC) and reflects the present state of the art in technology. Suitable components are selected automatically. So you can focus on whats important in your planning. Time-consuming research into specific product data in catalogues is a thing of the past. In addition the software calculates the short circuit current, load flow, voltage drop and the energy balance. Plus: the personal, short-circuit and overload protection settings are performed automatically in line with the calculations made. Fast, safe and flexible Planning an electric power distribution system is always subject to considerable changes and adaptations both in the planning and in the implementation stage. SIMARIS design integrates each modification into the supply concept and automatically checks its reliability against currently relevant standards and regulations. Consequently, you neednt perform costly and time-consuming checks of standards yourself. In the later planning stages, for example, more detailed consumer data can be added easily and quickly. Selectivity verification is often mandatory, for example for installations in emergency power supply systems. With SIMARIS design professional you can create the verification automatically. Intelligent functions SIMARIS design furnishes you with a host of intelligent functions for setting up and dimensioning electric networks. For example, you can create different types of network couplings also at the sub-distribution level. Furthermore, busbars systems can easily be added and edited in the software, as well as entire motor starter combinations at the consumer level. Even lightning and/ or overvoltage protection can be taken into account in the planning phase if required.
Convenient and straightforward Thanks to its user-friendly operation and its graphical user interface, you will intuitively find your way around SIMARIS design. The software provides excellent options for graphical editing of network diagrams. For direct project implementation, there are user-friendly options for documenting the results of the entire network dimensioning process e.g. a parts list of the necessary equipment or the network diagram in your desired format (PDF, DXF, DWG). With SIMARIS design professional, you can even export the project data and continue the planning of concrete plants in SIMARIS project. For global use Are you planning a project abroad? No problem, because SIMARIS design is available in about 20 languages. With the right selections it even takes account automatically of the corresponding technical and product-related specifications of the particular country. Automatic selectivity evaluation: selec tivity limits are displayed automatically in addition to the current time characteristic and the respective envelope curves. Project export for further processing in SIMARIS project: determination of the space requirements of the distribution boards and establishment of the basis for the budget determination. Planning software tool SIMARIS project provides a quick overview of the space requirements inside the building for your power distribution system, from the medium-voltage level to the distribution board for electrical installations. You can thus quickly determine the budget and automatically create a technical specification. Easy, fast and straightforward In SIMARIS project, the following processes are visualized on the basis of the defined project structure and the basic technical data: For medium-voltage switchgear: selection of the required system and panels to get a front view with dimensions. For low-voltage switchboards and distri bution boards: selection of the required protection and switching devices for each system. The required distribution boards are defined automatically on the basis of this device distribution list, are equipped with the devices and presented in a front view with dimensions. For busbar trunking systems: after having selected the desired system, it is neces sary to specify the length and to select the additionally required components. The resulting components are stated in a parts list.
For transformers: selection of the respective required system and then the required quantity. Selected transformers are stated in a parts list. Easy and reliable operation You need no detailed information on equipment or their order numbers, as SIMARIS project makes the choice automatically in compliance with the parameters entered. In doing so, the software factors in the wiring, control and measurement etc. for each switchgear component or distribution board. Plus: the data of a network diagram created in SIMARIS design professional can be imported into SIMARIS project. For extra time-savings: you can save typical variants of a system that has been planned in SIMARIS project and reimport them from the favorites library at a later stage for new projects. In addition, automatically drafted systems can subsequently be optimized or changed. Budgeting is possible with the help of a budget sheet. Easy evaluation of characteristic curves You wish to carry out a quick and easy evaluation of the tripping characteristics of low-voltage protective devices and fuses (IEC) without creating a new project in SIMARIS design? This is precisely what SIMARIS curves software does for you. Simulation of device settings Select the required devices with SIMARIS curves by directly entering the order number or use the easy-select feature for specifying the devices by the technical attributes they are required to have. Then evaluate the characteristic curves in the diagram and make the required settings, which you can check directly in the graphic. This easyselect feature also allows you to save individual products with the attributes you have defined as favorites and retrieve them at a later date with a simple mouse click. Comprehensive visualization Besides the representation of tripping curves and tolerance bands and the option to set parameters, let-through current curves and let-through energy curves are also offered for the devices.
