Discussion: The sessional class was all about to familiarize us with different types of Electrical and Electronic equipments used in the electric circuits. We will be working the whole semester with the equipments that we were familiarized with in the class. So the task will help us a lot in working the whole semester in the sessional course EEE 104. Now we will be able to do the upcoming experiments far more easily. So I think this task will help us a lot in this sessional course EEE 104.

In this lab we were familiarized with so many equipments. But some equipment was familiar to us from before because we used them in the sessional course EEE 102. They are given below: 1. DC Power Supply: DC Power Supply provides us an expected voltage level in the laboratory. It has a power switch, a monitor (that shows voltage level, current level) and a Voltage adjust knob. For safe operation current level can be set in DC Power Supply. 2. Trainer Board: It is one of the most important equipment. We can make any circuit with the help of Trainer Board. It has a power Switch, Short circuit Indicator, DVM Display (provides 3 ad. Digit), Ammeter, Speaker (8 ohm and 5 watt), DC Power supply and Function Generator.

3. Ammeter: Ammeter is used to measure current. There are two types of Ammeters- Analogue and Digital. Digital Ammeters show values in digit. 4. Voltmeter: Voltmeter is used to measure voltage. There are also two types of voltmeters- Analogue and Digital. Digital Voltmeters show values in digit. 5. Multimeter: This is a multi functioned equipments and its very important for our lab work. It does the work of ammeter and voltmeter. It also can measure resistance. 6. Rheostat: This is a resistant but its resistance can be varied very easily. It has a jockey by moving which its resistance can be varied. 7. Switches: Switches can be used in so many ways. There are four types of switches. They are: SPST- Single Pole Single Through SPDT- Single Pole Double Through DPST- Double Pole Single Through DPDT- Double Pole Double Through 8. Lamp board: On a lamp board some lamps are arranged in series or parallel.

And there were also some equipment which was totally new for us. And it was very essential for us to know about that equipment. They are: 1. Oscilloscope: The oscilloscope is very important equipment for us to know and indicate the flow and amplitude of current or voltage. It has a power switch, a CRT display screen, Focus Adjustor, Intensity Adjustor, AC or DC selector switch

and Channel selector switch. The oscilloscope also provides Probe connectors, Calibration, Regulators, Ground switch, Horizontal and Vertical axis calibration regulator. 2. Function Generator: It can indicate the frequency of the signal given to it. It has a power switch, frequency display, Frequency Multiplier etc. 3. RLC Meter: It is a multi functioned equipment. It can measure Resistance, Inductance and conductance. 4. Inductor Bank: An Inductor Bank consists with some inductors. 5. Capacitor Bank: A capacitor Bank consists with some capacitors. 6. Tachometer: It can measure rotation per second of any rotating substance. It has a display. 7. Transformer: A transformer is a device that transfers electrical energy from one circuit to another through inductively coupled electrical conductors. A changing current in the first circuit (the primary) creates a changing magnetic field; in turn, this magnetic field induces a changing voltage in the second circuit (the secondary). By adding a load to the secondary circuit, one can make current flow in the transformer, thus transferring energy from one circuit to the other.

8. Analog Wattmeter: It can measure power of any substance. It can directly calculate the power of any substance into watt.
