T-Systems modular product portfolio includes standardized and customizable
services, meeting customers requirements for security, mobility, voice integration via voice over IP (VoIP), and Classes of Service (CoS). IntraSelect is
at the heart of the ICT solution. It forms the foundation for developing and
provisioning additional, complex ICT solutions, including Dynamic SAP
Services and sophisticated call-center functionality with intelligent routing.
Secure gateways from the IP VPN to the Internet, or vice versa, are part of
the solution. IntraSelect can be customized with a wide variety of add-ons
from T-Systems portfolio. Managed Security Services, for example, ensure
highly secure communications. In addition to Internet access, the add-on
provides a firewall shared by multiple customers, plus functionality for mail
security and content security. This means that secure connections are also
available in New York and Singapore.

In the event of a network malfunction, traffic is diverted to a secure, highavailability Internet connection. When the network is functioning normally,
this secondary connection is used for low-priority traffic making DSL
Traffic Offloading a highly cost-effective solution.

1. Fixed Connect.

Multi-VPN.
Using a VPN access point, companies can create multiple VPNs for secure
and reliable communications among subsidiaries, suppliers, partners and
headquarters.

Fixed Connect delivers a direct connection between company sites around

the world. Each scalable solution is as unique as the customers needs.
The dedicated connection via MPLS, DSL, ATM, Ethernet or the Internet
(encrypted) supports the following access technologies for cost-effective

The basic component is the router located at the customer site and operated
by T-Systems. A variety of routers with application-specific data-prioritization
rules can be deployed to meet each customers requirements.

(CoS) makes it possible to assign service classes to applications in order to
prioritize network traffic and determine transmission quality in accordance

Remote Connect delivers affordable, secure, anytime and anyplace access
to the corporate network via any device or infrastructure, with a variety of
access options and secure dial-up worldwide. As a result, it enables flexible
working arrangements and internationalization within enterprises. The networks can be accessed with a user ID via an IP router that is shipped to
corresponding locations as a plug-and-play device (Private Connect). Mobile
users can log on via a secure Internet connection with headquarters (Internet).
Encrypted data transfer takes place with the help of a software client via an
Internet gateway provided by T-Systems. Data is encrypted using IPSec or
SSL. The One-Time Pass bundle, an add-on available for the Private option,
provides one-time passwords for the highest level of security.

Office Connect Only is the most cost-effective way of integrating small

branch offices.
This option for IntraSelect IP VPNs consists entirely of Remote Connect
access points (Fixed Connect is not required). It utilizes Deutsche Telekoms
ISDN or (T-)DSL connections, or on the customers own Internet connections.
The solution can be upgraded and expanded with add-ons from the IntraSelect portfolio.

3. Extranet Solution.
Companies can connect with suppliers, distributors and partners beyond
enterprise boundaries via a secure network. The shared platform for exchanging highly-sensitive data allows them to extend enterprise networks,
and to take communication and international collaboration to the next level.

High level of security with one-time passwords: One-Time Pass including
smart card and reader.
Customer-end RADIUS proxy: either customer-specific RADIUS server
for authentication, or utilization of T-Systems infrastructure.

The European Network Exchange (ENX) extranet is accessible
around the globe and enables communications between more than
1.000 enterprises from the automobile and other industries, in 34
countries. The managed platform is similar to the Internet but is
much better protected and offers much higher performance. Manufacturers can exchange highly sensitive development, production
and logistics data with suppliers in other countries in real time. ENX
connections fulfill the same quality and security standards as private
company networks.

This term describes the end-to-end monitoring of applications, not merely

individual sections, and the optimization of data transfer via a WAN. This
approach can deliver a 20- to 50-fold increase in transfer speed, more efficient
business processes, and higher performance in terms of work tasks. Early
