PHOTOGRAPH PORTRAITS IN THE INFANT HALL

1.

This Friday 25 September, our children in Year 6 would like to act as hosts and continue to support this
very worthy cause. You are most welcome to visit our school to join us for refreshments with our children
during this event. Children in Classes 1 5 will be invited to the morning and we would really appreciate it
if you could spare 1 for them to spend on a drink and some cake to support this worthy cause.
If you are able to bake any biscuits or cakes for this event, we would be extremely grateful

2.

Tempest Photography will be with us this Monday (28th September) taking individual and sibling
photographs. Please send the slip attached to Mondays photograph letter if you wish your preschool or
high school children to be photographed together as a group. All children in school will also have individual
photographs taken throughout the day. Mondays letter is available on the schools website.

YEAR 6 BIKEABILITY- NEXT WEEK

We would like to give our Year 6 children to opportunity to take up the challenge of passing the Bikeability
qualification. Your child should bring their bicycle, which should be in good working order, and a cycle helmet on the
dates listed below for their class. This opportunity is provided through the South Ribble Borough Council and it
focuses on getting our children safely managing road skills and practical road cycling training which is helpful with
their transition to high school next year.

100 PLUS CLUB
We are nearing the 100 mark for our membership! This will be drawn at the end of each month and is a superb way of
winning a bit for you! If you would like to take part please either ring the school office or come in and see us to sign up
or download the form on the school website which can be found under the Our Community tab. The more people
that subscribe, the more the pool will raise and you shall win!
Thank you very much for considering this.
Y2 VISIT TO MOSQUE
Year 2 will be visiting the mosque in Preston next Tuesday morning and will have interesting and valuable experiences
seeing cultural and religious differences within this building and meeting an Imam. This study is part of the Lancashire
Agreed Syllabus and is a fantastic opportunity to learn about our diverse community in Preston first hand. We have
asked parents in Year 2 to contribute 2.50 towards the cost of coach travel. We would very much appreciate your
support as it will be hugely beneficial to their learning and life experiences. Many thanks for your support.

PTFA MEETING - 29TH SEPTEMBER 6PM

hugely from. Please help us by making your payments to the school office, cheques are to be made payable to
