NOTICE
Online submission of Class X & XII forms by Private Candidates, 2016 examination
The Online submission of form by the candidates placed in the category
NIOP(Class X), FAIL/COMPARTMENT(Class XII) and those who wish to appear for
improving their performance or for an additional subject as Private candidate for the
examination scheduled to be held in March 2016 has been started.
Eligibility, Fee, detailed procedure of submitting online application is described
in the Annexures. Students/Parents are advised to go through the eligibility and
detailed procedure before applying.
Details in respect of students who have appeared in the Board examination held
in 2011/2012/2013/2014/2015 examination will be auto-generated in the online system
(except for the fresh female candidate of Delhi Scheme). However, Candidates of
2010(or prior) will need to submit the details on the online application form. If a
candidate makes wrong entries in his/her application form or gives false statement or
produces false document, his/her form shall be rejected and fee paid shall be forfeited.
Submission of form and fee does not make the candidate eligible for appearing
for the examination. His/her eligibility will depend upon the fulfilment of the
eligibility conditions prescribed by the Board and their verification at Boards end.
Parents/Candidates may note that confirmation page alongwith enclosures are
to be submitted to the respective Regional Office.
Last date for applying without late fee is 15th October 2015. For late fee refer to
notice. For any queries student may call at CBSE Helpline No. 1800-11-8002 between
9.30 AM- 7.00 PM on all working days.

Women candidate who is a bonafide resident of the National Capital


Territory of Delhi and has qualified Class X or an equivalent
examination from any recognized Board in 2014 or earlier. Women
candidates who are bonafide residents of the National Capital
Territory of Delhi; and satisfy the following additional conditions:(a)
that they have privately pursued the prescribed course of
study under proper guidance; and
(b) that they are unable to join a Senior Secondary School affiliated
to the Board or there are such other reasons compelling them to
appear at the examination as a private candidate.

Note: Women candidate applying under this category cannot take


subjects involving practical component. However they can take
Home Science with practical.

Physically Handicapped student who has qualified Class X or an
equivalent examination from any recognized Board in 2014 or earlier
on producing reasonable evidence of having difficulty to attend
normal institutions in the subjects not involving practical
training/examination

(b) that She is unable to join a Secondary School affiliated to the
Board or there are such other reasons compelling her to
appear at the examination as a private candidate.

Candidates from INDIA:
(i) E-Challan: Fee can be paid through E-Challan (All Branch of HDFC Bank).
Using E-Challan student can deposit the cash in any Branch of HDFC Bank.
[Challan form generated from website will have validity of 3 days. Amount mentioned therein must be deposited
within 3 days / before validity period failing which fresh Challan needs to be generated which may attract late fee.
In case of Bank related transaction or non updation of Fee on server you should contact to the respective Bank of

(ii) Demand Draft: Demand Draft from candidates in India should be in name of Secretary, CBSE payable at
place where Regional Office of CBSE is located. If Fee is send through DD, Application No. and Roll
No./Year of candidate must be written on backside of the Demand Draft.

Candidates from OUTSIDE INDIA:

Applicants from Outside India should send Fee through Demand Draft in name of Secretary,
CBSE payable at Delhi. If Fee is send through DD Application No. and Roll No./Year of
candidate must be written on backside of the Demand Draft.

GENERAL INFORMATION
1.

Candidate will have to send Photostat copy of the Marksheet/Grade sheet cum Certificate of
Performance of the Roll No. filled in the application form and copy of e-challan/DD alongwith the
confirmation page to the concerned Regional Office. Fresh female candidate appearing under
Delhi Scheme will also have to send the Affidavit.

Examination centre once allotted will be final and no request for change of examination centre will
be attended to.

3.

Fresh (New) Roll Number will be allotted by the Board for the candidate appearing in 2016. In no
case the candidate will be allowed to appear with the previous years Roll No.

4.

Admit Card:
Candidates will be able to download the Admit Cards from the website of CBSE www.cbse.nic.in
during 2nd week of February 2016.

Marksheet/Certificate

a) The mark-sheet and certificate of previous year examination has not to be surrendered to the
Board.
b) Candidate
appearing
for
Improvement
of
Performance(Class
XII)/Upgrading
of
Performance(Class X) will be issued a separate fresh mark-sheet reflecting the marks/grades of this
examination.
c) Consolidated marksheet will not be issued to Candidates except to those appearing under
COMPARTMENT category and passing the examination.
d) No fresh Certificate will be issued to the candidate appearing under the categories IMPROVEMENT
OF PERFORMANCE(CLASS XII)/UPGRADING OF PERFORMANCE(CLASS X) AND ADDITIONAL SUBJECT

Candidate will be examined only in the Syllabus as prescribed for the year of Examination. The
Student must go through the eligibility and pass criteria as well as current curriculum and scheme of
studies carefully before filling the form.

SPECIFIC INFORMATION FOR CLASS XII


A.
Subject Selection: Private candidate is not permitted to offer such subjects for the examination
which involve practical work except in the case of candidates who had failed earlier and who had put in
a regular course of study at an institution affiliated to the Board in the previous academic year. Only
female candidates of Delhi can offer Home Science with practical.
B.

Practical Examination:
a) Candidate applying for Improvement of Performance in the subject(s) involving practical has to
apply only for theory examination, if he/she has passed in practical. The old practical marks will be
taken into account. However, if he/she has failed in practical, should apply for theory and
practical both, irrespective whether he/she has already passed in the theory examination. Those
candidates who could not appear in Practical Examination due to medical reasons should also
apply for Practical examination.
b) In the subject(s) where practical examination is involved, separate pass in theory & practical
examination as also in the aggregate of the two is compulsory.
c) A failure candidates practical marks of his/her first examination will be carried over upto two
consecutive years after his/her first exam.

Scheme of Studies Secondary School Examination (CLASS X )


Student has to take minimum 5 subjects out of which:-

I: Any two prescribed languages as per Scheme of Studies (Out of the two languages one shall be English
or Hindi)
II: Mathematics, Science & Social Science
Optional Subject
III: Any one subject from Group-A Vocational under National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF).
IV: A candidate may offer any one additional subject either language or from Group-B or Group-C. Subject
from Group-C is permitted only if Sub VI from Group-A has not been opted.

As per Examination Bye-laws (Rule 24)


Candidates with visual and hearing impairment, Spastic, Dyslexic, Autistic and candidates with disabilities as
defined in the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995 have the option of studying one compulsory language as against
two. This language should be in consonance with the overall spirit of the Three Language Formula prescribed by the
Board. Besides one language any four of the following subjects be offered:
Mathematics, Science, Social Science, another language, Music, Painting, Home Science, Foundation of
Information Technology, Commerce (Elements of Business), Commerce (Elements of Book Keeping and
Accountancy), E-Typewriting(English), E-Typewriting(Hindi), Introduction to Computer Technology,
Dynamics of Retailing(NSQF) and Information Technology(NSQF)

Instructions to fill Online Private Application form


Note: Candidate details in respect of students who have appeared in the Board examination held in
2011/2012/2013/2014/2015 examination will be auto-generated in the online system. Candidates of
2010(or prior) will need to submit the details on the online application form.

Put correct combination of your Roll number, School number and Centre number ( as given in your mark
sheet) of Board Examination 2015.
In case wrong details are filled the application will be processed and error message will be displayed.
Student can fill only one application form. In case your application is already submitted you will not be
allowed to apply again.
Name, Fathers name, Mothers name will be auto generated.
Applicant will be required to provide contact number, email ID and address. Phone number should be of
10 digits and should contain numbers only.
Region will be automatically generated based on the city selected. You must select a state. Your
examination centre is based on the City selected by you. Choose your city according to the state selected.
Applicant need to upload scanned jpg files of their Photo and signature not exceeding 40 KB in size.
The code number of subject and medium should be entered very carefully, after comparing with previous
marks statements if available. Particular care should be taken for indicating the code against languages as
there are two types of courses. For medium code write 1 for English and 2 for Hindi. For language medium
code is not required.
Make sure you have selected bank where you want to deposit the fee and country. These are mandatory
fields.
Email Id should be in correct format.

Last STEP: Submission of Confirmation Page


Applicant should sign the confirmation page. After Fee payment
printout of confirmation page, copy of markseet, affidavit (
FRESH FEMALE of DELHI SCHEME)
along with proof of
deposited Fee( Challan/DD) should be sent to Regional Officer,
CBSE Regional Office as per address given above within
stipulated schedule.
If Fee is send through DD; Application No. and Roll No./Year of candidate must
be written on backside of the Demand Draft.

Note: If candidate has made any mistake in subjects/information entered


he/she should contact the Regional Office concerned alongwith the copy of
confirmation page and request for correction.
