INTRODUCTION:
Every person goes through times of drought, dry seasons when we dont see anything
happening. Weve got big dreams, were standing on Gods promises, but we just dont
see anything changing; its dry and barren.
You can be blessed in one area and in a drought in another; have a successful career but
be struggling in your marriage, a drought in a relationship, or you can have a great
marriage but you just dont feel well, a drought in your health. its easy to think, this is
the way its always going to be; Ill always be lonely, have to deal with this depression,
struggle in my finances.
Psalm 68:9 (TLB)
9
Why dont you get that in your spirit; youre about to see an abundant rain.
Every drought is only temporary; that dry season is not going to last forever.
Why? The rain is coming.
That addiction is not going to be with you your whole life; Why? The rain is
coming.
Every Struggle and lack is not your destiny, its temporary; Do you know
why? The rain is coming.
Some of you have been in a drought in your health; chronic pain, you dont feel
well, you could easily settle there. no, you need to get your umbrella; Why? The
rain is coming.
Maybe in your career you feel stuck and cant seem to get a good break,
you got passed over for the promotion, dont get discouraged; Why? The rain is
coming.
God has something better for you. Its not going to be a drizzle, not a
sprinkle, but a downpour, an abundance of rain. When you get up in the
morning, you need to declare it.
I want to announce that TONIGHT that drought is coming to an end. THE RAIN IS
COMING. Any area of brokenness, dryness, loneliness, every empty place, if you will
stay in faith, God is going to rain down favor, rain down healing, rain down restoration.
Do YOU believe that? Amen? Amen!

Let us pray.
Gen 7:4 Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days
and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living
creature I have made."
- Time of MOSES
Exo 9:18 Therefore, at this time tomorrow I will send the worst hailstorm
that has ever fallen on Egypt, from the day it was founded till now.
b. Blessing
Exo 16:4 Then the LORD said to Moses, "I will rain down bread from
heaven for you.
2. OBEDIENCE
Deu 11:13 So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today--to love
the LORD your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul-Deu 11:14 THEN I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and
spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil.
Deu 11:15 I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be
satisfied.
Deu 11:16 Be careful, or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods
and bow down to them.
Deu 11:17 Then the LORD's anger will burn against you, and he will shut the
heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce, and you
will soon perish from the good land the LORD is giving you.
3. RAIN is coming!
a. Rain comes in the right season.
As was stated previously, rain was a precious gift in the Judea region. There were
only a couple months that could be considered a rainy season. Under perfect
conditions, farmers could expect consistent rain in October to November, and then
again around March to April, and hopefully some rain in between the two seasons.
The first rain was to prepare and loosen the soil for planting. When
a Jew planted their crops in the spring, the spring rain (Former
Rain) was expected and necessary to germinate their seeds.
Without this spring rain -- they simply would have nothing.
There would be no hope of harvesting a crop in the fall.
The latter rain was to ensure a healthy and full crop. Both the first
and latter rain was needed for a good harvest. In the fall, the Jew
God does the same thing for us. He allows blessings and trials to rain
consistently in our life, always at the right time. Timing is everything.
Imagine what your life would be like if God allowed all your trials to come upon
you at once, or all your blessings to come at the same time? What makes life so
interesting is that it is a series of ups and downs.
b. Rain comes in the right reason
God will give us the rain of our land in the due season, or the right season.
Rain was a precious gift in region of Judea. This was a region that really only had
two rainy seasons. It was important that the rain came during the right seasons
for good and healthy growth. Rain that came too early had no effect on the ground
as far as preparation for the planting season.
The same was true regarding rain that came too late; it affected the growth of the
crop. Why was it so important to have the rain come at the right season? Because
rain has a proportionate effect on the harvest.

Appropriation: It will surely come at the exact and perfect time. While
you are anticipating, start getting ready.
Appreciation: When it happened, your joy will be complete. And the name
of the Lord is glorified!
