Service Alarms
Impact on System
All the speech services and data services are disrupted in the cell.
System Actions
If the BCCH TRX mutual aid is allowed in the cell after the alarm is generated, the BCCH TRX
mutual aid procedure is automatically started to restore the service. If the BCCH TRX mutual aid is
successful, the alarm is cleared.
If the BCCH TRX mutual aid is not allowed in the cell or if the BCCH TRX mutual aid fails, the cell is
still unavailable for use.
Possible Causes
Other OM operations: manual reset of the BTS or cell and automatic BTS reset because of dynamic
data configuration (for example, cell deactivation).
Other causes: The BTS is unavailable for use for a short period because the LAPD links or TRX
attributes are adjusted; the BTS is reset because of the BSC reset; the BTS is automatically reset;
the board is faulty; transmission failure occurs; the data configuration is improper; the BTS boards
are manually reset.
System Actions
None.
Possible Causes
Description
This alarm is reported when any of the following conditions occur: [1]The TRX detects that the channel
type in the system information issued by the BSC is inconsistent with the channel type in channel
attributes. [2]The TRX is connected to the cavity combiner, but the TRX is configured with RF frequency
hopping. [3]When the TRX, PBU, and CDU work together, the static power of the TRX exceeds the limited
power. [4]The 16 kbit/s signaling switching function is configured, but the TRX does not support the 16
kbit/s signaling switching function. [5]The TRX frequency is inconsistent with the TRX type. [6]The actual
board type in the slot is inconsistent with the configured board type on the BSC.
Possible Causes
The abnormal release ratio of the radio channel exceeds the alarm threshold.
The BTS detects that the UL level and the DL level differ greatly.
The channel type or channel status on the BSC side is inconsistent with that on the BTS side
System Actions
When the CPU usage reaches the flow control threshold, the system automatically performs the flow
control to reduce the CPU load, for example, disable print function, disable trace.
Possible Causes
The test on the CPU usage is started by running the STR CPUUSAGETST command.
Impact on System
If the faulty board is in standby state, the services are not affected.
System Actions
When the interface board works in active/standby mode and is now in the active state, an
active/standby switchover is performed if the standby board allows a switchover. If the standby
board does not allow a switchover, no operation is performed.
When the interface board works in active/standby mode and is now in the standby state, no handling
is required.
System Actions
The system reports this alarm and the LAPD link is switched over to the state ready for link establishment.
Link establishment request is sent to the peer end. After the fault on the E1 cable is rectified or after the
network is restored, the system clears this alarm in 10 seconds, and the LAPD link is restored.
