WIRING REQUIREMENTS
The SLC requires use of a specific wire type to ensure proper circuit
operation. lt is recommended that all SLC wiring be twisted-pair shielded
to minimize the effects of electrical interference. Wire size should be
no smaller than 18 AWG (0.75 mm 2 ) and no larger than 12 AWG (3.25
mm 2 ). The wire size depends on the length of the SLC circuit. Use the
table below to determine the specific wiring requirements for the SLC.

Section: Power Supplies/Accessories

GENERAL
Power-Sonic PS Series batteries provide secondary power for the
whole series of FireLite tire alarm control panels.

FEATURES MH14328 (S)

Provide secondary power for control panels.
Gelled electrolyte.
Sealed and maintenance-free.
Overcharge protected.
Extended shelf lite.
Easy handling with leakproof construction.
Ruggedly constructed, high-impact ABS plastic case.
Long service lite.
Compact design.

CAPACITY
Battery capacity, expressed in ampere-hours (AH), is the product of
a discharge curren! and the length of time that the curren! is dis
charged. Batteries are rated according to their performance during
20 hours of discharge at a constan! curren!.
The rated capacity of a battery is determined by subjecting it to a
constan! discharge curren! for 20 hours at 68 F (20 C). Alter 20
hours the voltage across the terminals is measured. The discharge
curren! which causes a reading of 1.72 volts per cell (5.16 V on a 6

used over a temperature range of -76 F to+140 F (-60 C to +60 C).

CONSTRUCTION
The sealed construction of the Power-Sonic battery allows trouble
free, sale operation in any position. There is no need to add elec
trolyte, as gases generated during overcharge are recombined in a
unique "Oxygen Cycle." The battery is sealed, leakproof, and main
tenance-free. The case is made of ABS, a high-impact plastic resin
(acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer) with high resistance to
chemicals and flammability. The PS-695 Battery

APPLICATIONS AND CHARGING
CYCLE APPLICATIONS: Limit initial current to 20A. Charge until battery voltage (under charge) reaches 14.40 to 14.70
volts at 68 F (20 C). Hold at 14.40 to 14.70 volts until current drops to approximately 1000 mA. Battery is fully charged
under these conditions, and charger should either be disconnected or switched to "float" voltage.
"FLOAT" OR "STAND-BY" SERVICE: Hold battery across constan! voltage source or 13.50 to 13.80 volts continu
ously. When held at this voltage, the battery will seek its own curren! level and maintain itself in a fully charged position.
NOTE: Due to the self-discharge characteristics of this type of battery, it is imperativa that the battery be charged after
six to nine months of storage, otherwise permanent loss of capacity might result from sulfation.

GENERAL
The S0350 and S0350T Addressable, low-profile plug-in
Photoelectric Oetectors use a state-of-the-art photoelectric
sensing chamber with communications to provide open area
protection and are used exclusively with Fire-Lite's MS-9200
and MS-9600 Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panels. The
S0350T adds thermal sensors that will alarm at a fixed tem
perature of 135 F. Since this detector is addressable, it will
help emergency personnel quickly locate a fire during its early
stages, potentially saving precious rescue time while also 7272-0075:194
reducing property damage. Two LEOs on each sensor light
to provide a local, visible sensor indication. Remole LEO
