    BAGGAGE HANDLING SYSTEM

    I. SCOPE

    The work consists of quarterly preventive maintenance of


    baggage handling system at the Passenger Terminal Building in
    One Year. The Baggage Handling System is consisting of the
    following;

    DEPARTURE AREA:
    1. Weighing Scales - 34 units
    2. Check-in Conveyors - 32 units
    3. Dispatch Conveyors - 32 units
    4. Out-of-gauge Conveyor - 2 units
    5. Collecting Conveyors - 2 units
    6. Transport Conveyors - 5 units
    ARRIVAL AREA:
    1. Arrival Claim Carousel
    a. Crescent shaped slat type - 1 unit
    b. L shaped slat type - 2 units

    II. ACTIVITIES

    1. Weighing Scales
    a. Calibration of scale using CIAC test weights.
    b. Functional check of passenger and operator panels.
    c. Zero checking and corner load test correction.
    d. Calibration of all check-in baggage scales.

    2. Check-in Conveyors
    a. Inspection of conveyor belt condition and tracking if
    necessary. Splicing is included and if required, CIAC
    shall provide the added belt material.
    b. Inspection of gear motors and idler rollers condition.
    c. Checking of electrical controls and field instruments to
    include tightening and applying contact cleaners on all
    electrical and electronic terminals.
    d. Test-run of all electrical controls in automatic and
    manual mode.
    e. Provide inspection checklist, accomplishment report
    and activity photos.

    3. Dispatch Conveyors
    a. Inspection of conveyor belt condition and tracking if
    necessary. Splicing is included and if required, CIAC
    shall provide the added belt material.
    b. Inspection of gear motors and idler rollers condition.

    7. Arrival Claim Carousel, Crescent shaped slat type


    a. Inspection of carousel chain to include cleaning and
    lubrication.
    b. Inspection of all chain wheel bearings.
    c. Inspection of tensioning device.
    d. Inspection of drive gear motor bearings, seals, and
    change oil if deemed necessary.
    e. Inspection of friction drive mechanism and replace belt
    if necessary, belts shall be provided by CIAC.
    f. Checking of electrical controls and field instruments to
    include tightening and applying contact cleaners on all
    electrical and electronic terminals.
    g. Test-run of all electrical controls in automatic and
    manual mode.
    h. Change-oil of drive gear motor. Gear oil shall be
    supplied by CIAC.
    i. Provide inspection checklist, accomplishment report
    and activity photos.

    8. Arrival Claim Carousel, L shaped slat type


    a. Inspection of carousel chain to include cleaning and
