This document discusses the proposed closing of L-Xing. Gate No. 38/B at Km. 151/0-1 by providing a limited height subway. It includes a checklist of 20 items to ensure signaling work applications are properly reviewed and approved, including checks that drawings are signed, deviations are noted, level crossing and yard details are addressed, and speed restrictions are shown as required.

Proposed closing of L-Xing. Gate No. 38/B at Km.
151/0-1 by providing limited height subway as per
CEs Drg. No. Y-235-2014(ALT-1).
Check of signalling work applications.
(To be filled as per application)
Sl. Name of work By Rly. Remarks CRSs
No. case remarks work/OS remarks 1). Whether all copies of application are singed by NA authority signalling the Engineering Officers (as the case may be) 2). Whether the signalling plan is counter signed by NA CSTE/Con for construction works and COM for COM. Whether the reference of signaling and P.Way (yard) plan is indicated in the application. 3). Whether others drawings and diagrams are signed by NA Dy. CSTE/Con. (with name and designation) for CSTE/Con. for construction works. 4). Whether others drawings and diagrams are NA countersigned by CSE for open line works. 5). There should not be any hand written corrections in No hand drawings and diagrams. written correction in the Drg. 6). There should not be any hand written corrections in N.A. SWR. 7). The name of work should correspond with each other NA between the application and deviation from GES proposed. 8). Whether application and deviations from GRS NA proposed are checked and recommended by Dy. CRS/S & T/MB. 9). Whether his observations are complied with. NA
10). Whether all pages are SWR are signed by authorized NA
officers. 11). Whether list of deviations from GRS is signed by Dy. NA CSTE/Con. and COM in all copies. 12). All drawings and diagrams should be signed on Yes originals and prints sent. 13). Whether P.Way details like rail, sleeper, ballast, NA details of turn out are mentioned in the yard plan in case of the work of yard arrangements with signalling arrangements. Whether rail fencing is shown between running line and new loop line etc. with details of cross section without causing any infringements. Whether track spacing is shown. 14). Whether delaied drawing of new bridge, if any the NA propose yard submitted in including CRS sanction (Ref, Yelahanko case). Whether the bridges as per drawing no. RDSO/B-1609 R I discontinued in view of RDSOS withdrawal of the same.

15). In case of interlocking/provision of lifting barriers for NA level crossings, whether the level crossings continues to Annexure 9/1 para 904 of IRPWM in all respects and which lever locking arrangements of lifting barriers is provided. The provisions of safety circular no.8 (for non-interlocked gates) and clause for no of gateman should be included in the gate working rules. Whether height gauges are shown in electrified section. 16). In case of proposed level crossing in the proposed yard NA it should be built as per annexure 9/1 para 904 of IRPWM in all respects with winch lever locking arrangements of lifting barriers and the interlocking of the gates is done. CRS sanction reference should be called for. 17). Whether sand humps are provided in the new yards NA with standard III interlocking in the absence of over run line. 18). In two/multiply line stations without sand hump/sand NA dead end on single line without a steep approach falling gradient, a note should be given to the effect that sand humps/sand dead ends should be provided in near future. 19). (a) in terms of note (under item 2 chapter 2 of NA BGSOD-04). At stations with grades sleeper than I in 40 beyond 50 metrs of outermost points, trains should not be drawn upto the last stop signal and held up on the steep gradient in outer to clear the reception line for giving permission to approach to the following train. No shunting beyond outer most point on the steep gradient sight should be allowed unless a locomotive is attached at the lower end of the load from the point of view of gradient. SWR should embody the CRS/S & T/MB before recommending.
b) The compliance of other notes under item (2)
chapter (2) of DGSOD-2004 should be ensured in the NA yard plan particularly the item about no change of grade takes place within 30 Mtrs. of turn out. A note about this should this should be given in the sanction.
20). For yard arrangement or any other work requiring NA
speed restriction as per rules, the necessary speed restriction should be shown in the application form. S.R.diagram should be shown in the yard plan with the location of Engineering indicator, CE-191 should be sent. A note about gradual release of sped restriction as per para 238 (g) of IRPWM should be given. For works in station area a note about checking of the caution order and following of the same by the drivers by officers to be given.
