COMPREHENSIVE GUIDANCE PROGRAM

OBJECTIVE
Present material to explain the scope, purpose and organization of a guidance program to
a group of teachers and parents.

INTRODUCTION
There are growing demands being placed on the education system. The needs of students
and the expectations that todays society presents challenge both parents and educators.
There are so many factors to take into consideration when preparing or coaching a
student to for learning. Schools have the responsibility of providing support so that all
students learn effectively. The following guide will help to provide all students with
adequate guidance and counseling.

PURPOSE OF GUIDANCE PROGRAM

Counselor Role provide leadership, facilitative, and organization skills in program

Group counseling with peers, students, teacher, and counselor
Individual counseling one on one session with counselor

COUNSELING TIMES
Group counseling one day a week each group for an hour
Individual counseling on an as needed basis minimum 30 min
