Grade Level: KG2 Subject: Math Learning Outcome (ADEC code and words):
Resources (what materials/equipment will you and the Preparation (what do you need to make or check before

- 17 flowers - 2 pots. (laminated) I need to check that all the materials are prepared.
Warm Activity
First I will review the pervious numbers they learned, after that I will say who knows what comes after
number 16? Lets find out together. With the students I will count to 17 by clapping our hands.
Time: 15 min
Whole
Active Engagement
For the active engagement, I asked two students to put 17 flowers inside the 2 pots. The students will count
the flowers in-front of the students, then together we will count the flowers.
Students will have find the number 17, and circle it using the marker.
And then write the number 17 on the pot.
The students will print the number 17 on a white paper. By using the brushes and paint.
Independent Experience (small group activity 3)
The students will have the number 17 worksheet and pencils. The students will count the pictures and the
write the number in the box. They will get three different questions.
After cleaning the tables, I will call the students together as a group on the mat. I will ask the
15 min
students to recall the number that was learned today. Ask the students about what they have learned
today, tell the students that we learned that the number 14 has different components.

Assessment
This lesson is for the grade level KG2; the lesson has taken place in the classroom. The
students will be able to recognize the components of the number 17.
And to count from 1 to 17.
The students did very well; they were engaged and enjoyed what they were learning. They
were actively participating and responding to my questions and the activities. The active
engagement activity was successful; the children were counting the flowers with the two
students who were putting the flowers in the pot.
All the small group activities went smoothly. The students liked the print number 17 the most
because they love using the brushes and the paint. Also, I liked the activity because it supports
fine motor development. But next time I will change things for this activity because after the
students finished the activity, the table was dirty and some students messed their uniforms. So
next time I will put a cover on the table to keep it clean.
