Questions to expect in an interview

1. Tell me about yourself. Talk about your experience, qualifications, and


accomplishments, not your childhood, family or hobbies.
In first instance I would like to begin saying that I have never worked, I have been studying
international business 3 years, in the same way , I study English every day, and currently
my level of English is B1, also I studied at the Ramon B. Jimeno high school, respect my
qualifications, I can say that I am very confident, kind humility, respectful, disciplined,
responsible, talkative, friendly, trusting, loyal but depends on the way that the company
treat me In others words if the industry don’t make me feel very comfortable there I will be
looking and waiting for other job better
2. Why do you want to work as a (position)? Talk about the interesting details
of the job and why they fascinate you.
I would like to work here because I know that I have the skills the motivation
and I know that I can make many improvements such as increase the profits
of the sales, do fast de work, and make that the people know about the vision
mission as a reason of that I will be able to create a special marketing
strategy to make real this goal.
3. What qualifications do you have? Name a skill, list your qualifications, and
then move to the next skill.

4. What do you know about our company? Call the chamber of commerce or
get on line. Get information of the company size, its key products or services,
the markets where it competes, and its overall reputation.

9. Why are you leaving that job? / Why did you leave your last job? Job
stagnation, demotions due to downsizing, career exploration, or simply
having made a bad choice.
I am leaving this job because I consider that I can get works in a better
position because in this company I haven’t been able to learn many things as
I thought when I get this job

I left the last work because I was very stressfull mis boss was very inkind and
he always has told that I wasn’t good at my work for that reason a said that
I won’t continue because I thoungt that my skills are more than important as
a reason that I have been working here many for 2 years and the salary hasn’t
increased in the way that I had thought previously when I arrive here

10.What did you like the most about that job? Talk about your responsibilities,
challenges, accomplishments, and the people.
11. What would you change about that job? Don´t bad mouth the job. Explain
that you would want more responsibilities. It shows initiative.

12. Did you ever have a disagreement with your boss? Why or why not? If you
say “YES” you are a trouble maker, if you say “NO” maybe you are not being
honest. Find the middle ground: “

Sure, we disagreed, but we worked well together”


13. Tell me about your education or training. Explain your education or training
and tell how it helped prepare you for the first job.

16. What do you plan to be doing for work five years from now? Figure the
promotions you should get if you work hard for this company over the next
five years. Tell the manager you plan to work for him or her for a long period
of time.
I would like to study the market and get costumers and make that the
company will be profitable, make me known and show I am the best

of something related to work or school. Tell it as a story. Give details. The
manager wants to see how you define problems, identify options, decide on
a solution, handle obstacles, and solve the problem.

weaknesses. Turn it into a positive, “ I’m accused of being workaholic” or “

answer is something like

“having responsibilities and being acknowledged when the job is done right”
22. Are you at your best when working alone or with a group? “Both. I enjoy
working as a part of a team and I can work independently to get my share of
the work done”.

Why?
“Either. I´m not afraid to take responsibility and I’m not afraid to roll up my
sleeves and do my best”.
24. What would you do if one supervisor told you to do something now and
another supervisor told you to do it later? The manager wants to see how
you handle conflict. Good communication is always a good answer.
In this case you have to be much disciplined y very responsible, organized
from the most important to less important and would try to be commucative
with everybody and finishing everything very fast to be able to give the results

“Being responsible, honest, organized and always willing to do your best” is
a good answer.

27. What kind of salary are you looking for? “I have no set salary. What salary is
usually offered to someone with my qualifications?”, if the manager insists,
give a general answer like “
somewhere between 1 and 2 million pesos”
28. Do you have any questions for me?
“Yes, thank you, I have some questions”. It shows that you are really
interested.
