All operation involved in the execution of works will be done in accordance with
Health, Safety and Environmental Manual
The safety officers, supervisors and Foremen will be responsible for ensuring the
safe implementation of the work.
METHOD STATEMENT

2.1 Ref. to the Equipment drawings for specified cable termination work.
2.2 Ref. to Manufacturers' data sheets and installation recommendation.
2.3 Material & tools preparations and mobilization to work area.
2.4 Review the validity of the test equipments calibration certificate.
2.5 Area QC engineer will explain the work steps to the qualified test crew.
2.6 Review and ensure the safety precautions with the safety representative.
2.7 Commence with work under supervision of test crew supervisor.
3 METHOD OF WORK:
Following the above mentioned contract specifications and detailed drawings; the
method of work will be as follows:
Visual Inspection
Check cable mechanical connections
Check that cable color codes conform to project specifications and/or national
standards
Electrical Testing
For each test, record the testing instrument make / model and serial number.
4.1 The job safety analysis (JSA) is a step by step review of a specific job
with the aim to identify the potential hazards associated with each
step of the job and then eliminate, reduce or control the hazards
before the start of the work.
4.2 The JSA will be conducted to ensure that work does not start without
testing the risk assessment through evaluation by the supervisors and
employees who will be involved in the work, at the workface and
immediately prior to commencing work.
4.3 All PPE's shall be used like helmet, goggles, safety footwear, gloves
and safety harness if required.
4.4 All manpower, who are involved in the installation activities shall be
informed of the hazards and risk factors through tool box meetings
prior starting any activity.
4.8.2 Identify for each step the potential hazard and potential
accident causes.
4.8.4 Supervisor reviews all of the above with workers who are
expected to contribute their own suggestions for ensuring that
work can be conducted safely.
