San Narciso: Sparkling Town of Zambales


San Narciso, officially the Municipality of San Narciso, is a 4th class municipality
in the province of Zambales, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a
population of 28,360 people. The Municipality of San Narciso was founded in the
early part of 18th century. The migrants from the Ilocandia arrived in the area
and established their s ettlement in Alusiis, which was the first name of the
pueblo which later became San Narciso.

San Narcsio became the official name of the town by a Royal Decree issued by
the Spanish Governor General Narciso Claveria and Archbishop Jose Soque on
February 12, 1846.

The people of San Narciso participated in the Philippine Revolution against


Spain. When the Katipunan was organized by Andres Bonifacio and sent his
representatives in San Narciso, many prominent men of the town became
members. Pantaleon Dumlao became the head of the local organization.

It caters the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) provider of seafarers


and ship captains all over the globe. It is where Magsaysay Memorial College is
located and also Zambales Academy, one of the oldest secondary school in the
province, it is where former President Ramon Magsaysay took his secondary
school.

The town is also famous on its breath taking beaches like Crystal Beach-a well
visited beach in the town which also caters the Pawikare, it is a Pawikan
Conservation in the barangay su pported by the town.

It also famous on its celebration of annual Flores de Mayo inniated per


barangay in the town. A mouth-watering fresh vegetables like sili Beddeng,
lasuna (Spring onion) are very famous in the town. Fruits like mango, Kaimito,
Santol, Daligan are also found in the town.

Narcisenians (people of San Narciso) are also famous in celebrating the


anniversaries of their departed relative just like “Pa-siyam”, forty days, “Babamg
luksa” “Atang”- a simple present to their dead relatives are very common to all
the people of the town.

Kamusta naman ang apat na taon sa loob ng silid aralan sa kolehiyo, isang
gabing pagpaparangal sa mga magsisipatapos at isang araw na pagsusulit
upang matawag kang isang tunay na guro. Guro- ito ay isa sa mga pinaka-
marangal na propesiyon sa Pilinas ngunit may kaakibat na malaking
responsibilidad.

Unahin natin sa tinatawag nilang Continuing Professional Development o CPD


sa bansa na may layong palaguin ang isang propesiyonal sa propesiyong pinili
niya. Ngunit ito’y may layunin ding butasan ang bulsa ng bawat propesyonal
lalo na at kakarampot lang sinasahod sa isang buwan.

Animoy lunod sa isang balde ng tubig ang mga guro sa bansa sapagkat nasa
kanila na ata lahat ng trabaho ng bawat departamento sa ating bansa. Hindi
magkaugaga sa mga trabahong ipinapatapos sa kanila araw-araw. Daily
Lesson Log sa gabi, effort and boses naman ang puhunan tuwing uamaga aat
idagdag mo pa riyan ang ugali ng mga estudyante nila sa paaralan.

Marangal na propesyon ang guro at nararapat na bigyan nang malaking


sahod at marming benepisyo pero kabaligtaran ang nangyari.sila ang may
maliit na sahod.Ma-realized sana ito ng pamahalaan at matutukan ang
kanilang problema.

Ako’y gigising na sa kahibangan kong ito
Totoo nga siguro, na kung minsan siya ay para sayo
Pero minsan din hindi at walang “kayo”
