Advanced OTDR Testing


This half-day course is a continuation of EXFO’s FE-1033 – Introduction to OTDR Testing and covers advanced OTDR
analysis functions, as well as the post-processing tools related to OTDR testing. Attendees will learn how to use the
time-saving features of EXFO’s OTDRs; namely, ToolBox 6 and the powerful RT/Pro software.

Pre-Requisites
EXFO’s FE-1033 – Introduction to OTDR Testing

Methodology
The first part of this course consists of lectures using PowerPoint presentations and demonstrations, while the
second part consists of specific hands-on OTDR testing exercises and experiments on bidirectional analysis,
Template mode, RT/Pro batch-processing, and RT/Pro report-generation.

Documentation
Attendees will receive a binder containing copies of presentations and other handouts as well as a trial version
of our R/T Pro post-processing software.
