1 MicroSCADA INSTALLATION
This chapter explains the procedure for installation and uninstallation of MicroSCADA.
1.1 Procedure
1. Browse the MicroSCADA CD.
Search for SYS 600_92 folder inside that click SYS 600_92.exe file
This display will appear.

2. Click OK to start installation.
In the following screen we can see the product details.
Click Next to continue.

3. Check the software packages selection. The destination drive can be changed.
(Note: ABB standard installation is on D:\)

Then click Start to start the installation.

4. A user account “MicroSCADA” should exist on the computer with a valid password.
Default password is Micro8SCADA.

5. Following dialog will appear if password policy requirements are not fulfilled (e.g.)
Password no longer accepted.

6. After successful installation the following window will appear.
To check the installed files go to the Destination drive, a folder named sc will be created.

1.2 To uninstall the MicroSCADA

Delete the following:
1. \sc directory (and subdirectories)

2. Service (only, if CAP 50x/SMS510 are not installed into the same computer,
Otherwise those products do not work)
(KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MicroSCADA)
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\MicroSCADA)
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\MicroSCADA)
Use uninstall program of the services, if possible
3. MicroSCADA group from start menu
4. Shortcut to MicroSCADA group on desktop
5. Following fonts from Windows font directory:
scada0810.fon
scada1215.fon
scada1620.fon
scada2025.fon
scalo0810.fon
scalo1215.fon
scalo1620.fon
scalo2025.fon
abb10.fon
abb14.fon
abb18.fon
6. Package & Product information from registry:

NOTE:
* Wserver-process should be killed first. (only, if CAP 50x/SMS510 are not

* Starting of Wserver should be removed also from the Startup folder. (Only, if

* Service should be uninstalled second. This should be done before deleting scdirectory,
Because service can be uninstalled with the command "servinst -r".
(Only, if CAP 50x/SMS510 are not installed)
* MicroSCADA fonts from Exceed -directory should be removed too.
* MicroSCADA user should be removed too. (Only, if CAP 50x/SMS510 are not installed)

10. Go to control panelAdd or remove programsremove the following:

 ABB SYS 600 Components
 OPC Core Components 2.0 Redistributable

The following components will be installed during the installation of MicroSCADA. But
they should not be removed during uninstallation that may lead to malfunctioning of
other files.
 Microsoft.NET Framework2.0
 Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine(PCM Server)
