CONTENT STANDARDS:
1. organisms as having feedback mechanisms, which are coordinated by the nervous and
endocrine systems
2. how these feedback mechanisms help the organism maintain homeostasis to reproduce
and survive
I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students shall be able to:
a. Determine the functions of the nervous system;
b. Give the two main divisions of the nervous system;
c. Describe the different parts of the nervous system; and
d. Realize the importance of a healthy nervous system.
II. Subject Matter:

play music and while it is playing, you will Yes, Sir.

d. Lesson Proper:
1. Pre-Activity:
The nervous system enables the body to
respond quickly to change in the
environment by accomplishing its
functions. Now, let us find out what are
the functions of the nervous system by
having this very simple activity which I Yes, Sir.
called “Which is Which!” I will flash
two functions then I want you to
analyse and determine which among
the two functions is the function of the
nervous system. Did you get it?
Excellent, class!

Group 1 – importance of the Nervous
System in the form of a jingle.
5. Generalization:
This time, let us play a game entitled
“Fact or Bluff”. I will give you sets of
statements and you‟re going to analyse
it whether it is true or not. If it is true, Yes Sir.
