Back from South America!
8/2/2005 1:55:00 PM
Thanx to everyone who came out to support us on our first ever trip to South America. The shows
were insane and the fans and people of Columbia, Brazil and Chile were amazing! Some of our
best shows ever! Much thanx to Agnostic Front and Otra Salida. Apologies to the people in Belo
Horizante who did not get to see us play. Hopefully we can make the show up soon.
While we were in South America we heard news of the death of John Tamas, former guitar player
of CT Hardcore bands Mans Ruin & Palehorse. Hatebreed would like to extend our deepest
condolences to John's family, bandmates and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Due to bureaucracy issues concerning visas, and an unfortunately delay in Hatebreed’s connection
flight from Caracas, Venezuela to Sao Paulo, Brazil, Hatebreed is arriving in Brazil on Saturday July
23rd in time for the Sao Paulo show and will not be able to be present at the FNAC signing session
nor the Belo Horizonte show, which kicked of the “The Voice of Brutality” tour.
We deeply apologize to all the fans of Brazil who came out to meet us there and who had planned
to see us play in Belo Horizonte. We look forward to meeting up with the tour in time for the July
23rd show in Sao Paulo at KVA to share the stage with our good friends Agnostic Front and to play
for all the kids who have planned to come out to see us in Brazil, Chile and Colombia. We hope to
see all of you at our shows.
Agnostic Front will be at the signing session, as well as the Belo Horizonte show. So have a very
nice time with these guys and wait for us to arrive on Saturday, July 23rd to play for you in Sao
Paulo, Brazil.
Thanx to everyone who came out to support us at The Aggressive Music Festival! We had a blast.
Our next show here in the states is going to be @ Hellfest August 19th. We are headlining the first
day.

"Andrei "The Pitbull" Arlovski's Theme Song is up so go listen!
After UFC #53 a lot of people had contacted us wondering if Andrei "The Pitbull" Arlovski's theme
song was a Hatebreed or an Icepick song. Actually it was written by Jamey specifically for Andrei
Arlovski (the UFC champion) but will probably not be released. We'll see what happens, anyway
we figured we would post it up here cause people wanted to hear it. Thanx to Dave Russo for
playing drums on the track and to Zeuss from playing guitar and bass and producing and mixing

Hey everyone, Hatebreed is back home recuperating from Ozzfest. They had a great
summer. Thanx to all the great people who were out there supporting and thanx as always
to all you folks who frequent this site!
Hatebreed extends their sincere apologies to all the Florida fans who did not get to see
Hatebreed at the Tampa Ozzfest, between the bus problems they had the night before in

wasn't possible for Hatebreed to play. Hatebreed will however be doing a special Tampa
show THIS YEAR to make it up to all of you. We will post about that in the near future.
Very special thanx are in order to Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne and the whole entire staff and
crew of Ozzfest for treating Hatebreed so well for their third year now. Much love and
respect to Slayer, Slipknot and their management and road crews as well. But most of all
thanx to the thousands of fans that saw and supported HATEBREED this summer!

Our apologies...
7/26/2004 9:23:00 AM
"We are very sorry to anyone who tuned into MTV2's Headbangers Ball this past Saturday
for the Hatebreed world premier. The wrong edit of the video for "Live For This" was
played. Many people have emailed us and we promise that the real version of the video will
be played on the July 31st episode. Apparently Universal sent the wrong edit. So once
again our apologies, we look forward to getting the real video out there. We put a lot of
hard work into it and it has a lot of sentimental value to us. Thanx for caring, Jamey and
Hatebreed"

Hatebreed has returned from one of their most successful tours of Europe and will start
Ozzfest this Saturday, July 10th in their home state of CT. Here is a short update for you
and a message from the band.
A bunch of NEW off day shows have been added. Including Portland Oregon, El Paso, TX,
Traverse City Michigan and many others. All the new dates have been posted on the
message board.
Here is a statement from Hatebreed regarding the cancellation of the last 4 European tour
dates. "What's up everyone. We're home now. THANK GOD. We cut out tour 4 days short
for various reasons WHICH ARE NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS. Just kidding.
For all you people who HAVE to know. It's like this. There were many reasons for
canceling the shows. Many, many reasons but, the main is reason was I had to get dental
surgery. So did Sean. We did over 300 shows last year. This year alone it's getting up there.
Me and Sean's teeth are a mess. We don't exactly have time to see dental specialists on the
road ya know? It's also really painful to scream for an hour an a half after you've had teeth
pulled. I did last year and it fucking sucked but for the sake of the fans I did it. This time
around I had another wisdom tooth coming in but it was growing backwards (towards my
brain) it was also causing me to bite my cheek severely when I would sing thus causing me
bleeding and pain all day long and limiting my eating. So since my tooth was growing in
the wrong fucking direction I had to get a specialist to get it out without tearing my sinus. I
had it done yesterday and now we should be fine to start Ozzfest this Saturday. Sean had
his stuff done yesterday as well. So there ya have it. Hopefully we'll be back in the fall to
make up the shows we missed. Especially Bulgaria!!! See ya then, Sincerely Jamey &
Hatebreed"

been canceled. The band would like to apologize to all the fans in Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece
and Norway but promise to schedule make up shows soon.

We would like to sincerely apologize to all of our fans in Vancouver who will not get to see
us tonight due to the Canadian Border Patrol. Every other Customs Department in every
other country in the world that we have been to welcomes us with opens arms yet somehow
every time we try to enter Canada we hassled, interrogated, belittled and disrespected. This
morning was no different. Our merch guy and stage manager/guitar tech were denied entry
for no good reason. The women was quoted as saying "your guilty until proven innocent"
guilty of what??? Trying to go play a show? It was ridiculous. Then she had the nerve to
tell us to go drop off our boys at a hotel and come back and maybe after "extensive
searching and questioning" that they would "possibly" let us threw. Well, for one. We don't
play like that. No one is getting left behind just because some stupid bitch at the border
feels like denying them entry and secondly, how the hell do they expect to go drop them
and "all of their belongings" off and then go all the way just for them to deny us again
which she was basically implying she was going to do. We knew they would not let us
threw. The women threw a fit when one of us answered one of her questions with a head
nod. She blares out with "You must answer me aloud, YOU CANNOT ANSWER YES
WITH A HEAD NOD" it's like what is up your ass bitch? It's a shame that people like this
get put into positions of power. She told us she could refuse anyone for any reason at all
and that it was all at her discretion. THAT IS LIKE SOME NAZI GERMANY SHIT FOR
REAL! It's fucked up that they do this to so many bands because they are hassling people
for the sake of hassling them. We love our fans in Canada we went out of our way to book
this show! We drove all night from Portland just to do one show in Vancouver and this is
the bullshit that they throw at us. Now not only have we lost a lot of money but we have
disappointed our fans all because of some horses ass at the border. There has got to be a
way to change the treatment and policies. We will do our best to make up this show and
hopefully you all can help us change the system so that all bands don't have to deal with
this harassment. We've contacted the Consulate, the Canadian Customs Department and
Immigration Office as well as our local Congressman to find out what we can all do. We
will not deterred anymore and CORE ACROSS CANADA will happen we promise!
Updates!

Please forgive us for not updating this site in a while. We really appreciate everyone who
sent us letters & emails of support after the tragic loss of our manager Steve Richards. We
have regrouped and are currently destroying it out on the road with Damageplan, Drowning
Pool & Unearth as part of the MTV2 Headbangers Ball Tour. The shows have been
amazing, some of these cities we haven't been to in a while so the crowds have been
insane!!! Tonight's show in Corpus Christi is sold out and so is Dallas tomorrow so if your
in TX you better make the drive to Houston, there are still some tickets left.
As far as news goes there are some things to tell you about here. First of all we've added a
slew of dates to our European Tour. We've also been confirmed to do a bunch of shows on
the off days of Ozzfest. Most will be with Slayer and some will be with Judas Priest. We
will also try to do some smaller club shows with Devildriver. We'll keep you posted.

#3 best album in their readers poll right behind Korn & AFI. It was definitely a shock to us.
MTV2's Headbangers Ball got the #2 best TV show right behind Viva La Bam. So that was
cool too!
One last thing please support this show for us as we will not be around when it happens It is
a benefit for the memories of friends who are no longer with us. It's a cause that is close to
us and it needs your support. Both Stillborn Records & Hatewear Inc will be donating
merchandise.
It is called the Fallen Friends Benefit, benefactors being the Suicide Prevention and Crisis
Helpline and the Stop Hand Gun Violence Foundation.

2/17/2004 6:22:00 PM
Before we get into the real juicy stuff lets start by saying that our four small club shows last
month were phenomenal!!! Seriously everybody, thank you. We had a blast. Both Long
Island shows were marathon sets and a lot of people traveled from near and far to witness
the mayhem. The shows in CT were the icing on the cake. To come back after having a sold
out show at Toad's in New Haven and then do two amazing shows at Empress was a dream
come true. There were so many new and old faces and everyone seriously had the time of
their lives. We are so thankful for everything that has been happening with this band and
our new album. We consider ourselves to be very lucky and could not have achieved any of
it if it weren't for you people that continually support us.
Now onto the news, we know that there has been a considerable amount of rumors and
speculation in regards our touring plans. There has been so much talk and we haven't
updated this site in over a month so we are very happy to announce that we will be
headlining the next installment of the MTV2 Headbangers Ball Tour along side our friends
in Damageplan, Drowning Pool & Unearth. We are also going to be on a big festival tour
this summer. That tour will be "officially" announced this Friday 2/20. We seriously cannot
wait to bring The Rise Of Brutality to the masses. We have received a lot of critical acclaim
for this album and we have been sitting at home for over a month now but we have been
busy working and we are all itching to hop back on the bus and devastate your cities.
Although we have been writing yet another new album we promise you we are gonna do a
lot of touring in support of T.R.O.B. and we promise you that our newer material
DESTROYS everything that we have ever done. We have also confirmed a bunch of
festivals in Europe, all the dates will be up on our message board as well as
www.hatebreedtour.com
We have a lot in store for 2004 so keep checking back with us! Here is a small update of

new band on my label called The Autumn Offering will be entering Planet Z with me and I will be

We'll start this by saying a HUGE thankyou to everyone who actually went out and bought
Hatebreed's new album already. We here at Hatebreed.com have been told that there is a slight
possibility this album could knock Nickleback, 3 Doors Down and Limp Bizkit out of the top 3
positions on the Billboard Hard Chart.
THIS WOULD BE MONUMENTAL SEEING AS NO HARDCORE BAND HAS EVER ACHIEVED A #1 SLOT
ON THE HARD CHART.
HATEBREED should be #1 next wednesday when the chart comes out! Show the world what real
HARD music is.
Post everywhere on the net about Hatebreed's album being in stores now.
Tell everyone you know to go out and buy it.
Send an email to everyone you know (in your address book) with the Hatebreed 3 song juke box
link in it. Or just say to go out and get it.
Look for new photos in the tour gallery and journal posts from the band this week.

We are back from our little tour to and from the Furnace Fest. We had some great shows, thank
you! Furnace Fest was just insane. We saw a ton of good bands and met some new people as well
as seeing all the old faces. It was a great show all around. We also played in Hungtinton, WV,
which was awesome as usual, it's always great to get back there. Nashville, TN, Columbia, SC &
Wilmington, NC were all great as well. We are really psyched about the reaction the new material
is getting. We really think you are all gonna love this album.
So let's get into some news! The Freddy Vs Jason Soundtrack has been making some noise, we
have been getting some great feedback from that song. We recorded that when we recorded
"Perseverance" it was only on the limited copies of that album so we're glad more people are
hearing it now. Thanx to all the College Radio & Metal Specialty shows that have been playing it.
You rule!
Now onto some album news, we just did a photo shoot all over New Haven CT. this past Saturday.
I think we got a ton of great shots and we're getting geared up for the release of our new CD.
Everyone has been asking about the art, all we can say at this point is the stuff is gonna be sick.
The album is crushing and we want the art to fit with the title "The Rise Of Brutality." Start
spreading the word folks. 10/28 is the release date!
Lastly, the Rise Of Brutality tour is pretty much booked. All the dates are posted on the message
board and on www.riseofbrutality.com as well as www.hatebreedtour.com, thanx for checking in

First off, it was sad to see The El N Gee close, but what a way to go!!! The show was completely off
the hook. It was 400 degrees in there, people were brutalizing each other and Sean almost keeled
over from being too drunk and dehydrated, but the crowd was so insane and the booze was pretty
much free for us and our friends all night cause lets face it, where are they gonna sell it? haha
WHAT A NIGHT!!! Anyway, thanx to Jason and the G for having us one last time. Thanx to all who
showed up and thanx to all the bands that played. We have had so many good shows there over
the years and this one was probably the best! Saw tons of old faces and we couldn't be happier.
Thanx everybody!
Now we are heading out to the Krazy Fest in scenic ole Louisville, Kentucky! Where is the secret
show tonight? Well, We can't tell you otherwise it wouldn't be a secret! Check our sites for clues
or look to see where maybe um... Punishment or Full Blown Chaos is playing tonight, k?
OK, on to the news... Next Tuesday August 5th the Freddy Meets Jason soundtrack hits the streets!
We have a song on it called "Condemned Until Rebirth". Its not a new song but if you haven't
heard it yet check it out. That shit rips!
Next up, we got a bunch shows this month. We'll be doing make up shows in Atlanta & Tampa as
well as a show in Huntington, WV and Furnace Fest in Birmingham, AL. After all these dates is the
RISE OF BRUTALITY 2 TOUR in September w/ Madball, Hate Eternal, Terror & Cephalic Carnage.
This tour is gonna destroy. A bunch of new dates have been confirmed and are up now on our

Still no title yet, we promise to announce it soon though. Be patient!! Check back soon....
The shows at Lupos, The Kave and the Palladium were great!!! Don't believe the hype about the
stabbing at Lupos, the guy was fine. People are really digging our new songs and we had a blast.
The Kave was a small but bad ass show, thanx to Kathy and all who made it possible! Bane & Barrit
blew the roof of the Palladium last night. Thanx to all who came out to support a good cause. Also,
Thanx for coming out and supporting us. As always we are truly amazed by everyone who
continually is there for us. We did these shows just to play some new songs and hang with our
friends in Ringworm, Hope Conspiracy, Most Precious Blood and With Honor. It's been really fun.
So thanx again. Tonight is the last show of this little mini tour. The show is at the El N Gee in New
London, CT. It will also be the last time we will ever play this club so come out and have some fun.
IT IS NOT SOLD OUT. They will be closing their doors forever so be there for one last night of
mayhem!! Call 860-437-3800 for info. We're also looking forward to Krazy Fest and getting back to
Atlanta & Tampa coming up this weekend. We're gonna be doing an extra long set so represent!
As far as the suprise show everyone has been emailing/asking about. All we can say is that it will
be somewhere in PA. Ask around or put 2 and 2 together. Maybe its with Ringworm??? So, what's
in store for September you ask? Well, some Rise Of Brutality 2 tour dates have been announced!

Jamey Jasta
Hardcore Vocalist To Guest Host The MTV2 Revival of This Most-Watched Heavy Rock Show
New York, NY - Jamey Jasta, lead vocalist of Universal Records' HATEBREED, has been tapped to be
the summer guest host for the MTV2 revival of the popular "Headbangers Ball" series for the
summer of 2003. Jasta's hosting duties will begin on June 14th and continue every Saturday night
through August 30th.
Jasta was chosen out of the many that auditioned for this guest hosting job because of his intimate
knowledge of and involvement in the heavy rock world. His band, HATEBREED, has toured with
just about every important band in the genre over their 8-year existence including Sepultura,
Slayer and Slipknot among others. His love for the show and heavy music in general comes
through in Jasta's attitude toward the guest hosting gig, "As a fan of the original Headbangers Ball,
I am excited the show is back and that MTV2 chose me as the host. Bringing back Headbangers Ball
is long overdue and I am glad to be part of it."
"Headbangers Ball" (Saturdays, 10:00pm EST on MTV2) will take heavy metal into the 21st Century
for a whole new generation of headbanging fans by highlighting the best classic and new metal
videos, interviewing hard rock artists, and showcasing new metal talent.
HATEBREED are currently hard at work recording the much-anticipated, as-yet-untitled follow up
to Perseverance, to be released in October of 2003.
Check back this week for a bunch of new US Dates to be announced including both the Atlanta &

Massacre (La La of MTV, Guru, Capone), Da Hip Hop Witch (Eminem, Ja Rule, Mobb Deep) and
Colorz Of Rage (Redman) fame. This is a bittersweet project for Resteghini who will finally move
away from small financially impaired films, into the big leagues with his next film BLACK BETTY
BROWN which is currently being set up at a major Hollywood studio!!!
Jasta's Stillborn Records will play a major part in supplying the film it's soundtrack via it's growing
roster of hot young bands.
The film is expected to have a limited theatrical run before going nation wide to DVD and video by
Christmas 2003 via Artisan who is releasing Resteghini's first two pictures Colorz Of Rage and Da
Hip Hop Witch!
In other Hatebreed news Sean Martin has begun tracking the guitars for the new album. Look for a

Where do we start?
3/18/2003 12:59:00 PM
Well first off we want to thank everyone who made the last 4 shows so great. We had an awesome
time and it was great to see everyone and play with so many great bands. WE ARE REALLY
LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS WEEK!!! The Toad's Place show was just a complete mad house. It
was blast! Our last 4 CT shows were some of the best we've ever had. I know we say it all the
fucking time but THANKYOU. Sometimes we feel that words cannot express our true gratitude. I
think we need to do a free show in CT soon!!!! Be on the lookout for that.
Anyway, Brooklyn, New Hampshire & Springfield were great too. Except for the fights at Fat Cat
which there is alot of false information going around about. Certain people saw only parts of what
really happened and we are very accustom to having these types of problems at our shows so its
nothing new and it's not a big deal at all. It's actually the reason why we can't do small clubs
shows, but I digress. We got involved at one point but everything has been squashed and we love
the Fat Cat and their security. They do a fine job and we support venues that still do Hardcore
shows. What ever happened, happened. It was unfortunate and we are not going to sit here and
justify anybody's actions but when you have friends fighting friends its never good. Up until the
fights the show was amazing and we appreciate Scott & Terry and all at the Fat Cat letting us do a
secret show.
Now onto all the other stuff we have going on. This week we start our 5 day mini tour
appropriately called Jailhouse Rock!!! None of the shows are sold out so stop emailing
hatebreedinfo@aol.com There will be tons of tickets at the door for all the shows. Still get your
tickets in advance if you can though! Visit www.HATEBREEDTOUR.com
Also if you have the Mancow morning show in your area we will be playing live on the air in the
morning of Friday March 21st!!! We've been on the Mancow show before and its always a good
time! So tune in and check it out between 8 am and 11 am. In Chicago Mancow in on Q101 FM.
In other Hatebreed news, we're sad to say that Converge will not be doing our next European tour.
We will announce the full line up soon.
We will be posting the video for "Perseverance" on this site as soon as possible. We are aware that
some people are still not able to view it on the Stillborn Records site. We will have it available in
many different formats on this site very soon so keep checking back.
We're in the studio today laying down some more demos. Metallica just send us a box of merch &
stuff. How fuckin awesome is that???? Thanx!!!
What's up everyone, the studio has been awesome!!! We have so much new material its crazy!
We're itching to get back on the road and let you people hear some of it. We will definitely be
playing one new song called "Tear It Down" at the shows we have coming up. We may even play
two new jams. We'll see what happens. It's been awhile since an update, there is a lot of stuff
going on. We have will have the video for "Perseverance" up tonight on
WWW.STILLBORNRECORDS.COM Sorry for the wait. It will be posted on this site next week. For
now just go over to the Stillborn site to check it out. The video looks great! We're really happy with
the way it came out. We'll post a link to go request it at M2 & MuchUsa once we have it up on this
site. On another note, thanx to everyone who came and rocked out with us at our last show we
played at The Roxy in Norwalk, CT. We're all looking forward to the show at Toad's Place! CT is
back and we really appreciate the support! IT IS NOT SOLD OUT THOUGH! So come down! It's
gonna be nuts. Here is the info.

bigger and better and we are very grateful for all the support! We hope to see everyone this Friday
Feb. 28th at the Roxy in Norwalk, CT. It's our first all CT band show in awhile. There are no tickets
for sale in advance but don't worry cause the show will NOT sell out. The place holds 2000 people
so everyone who shows up is getting in. We do not want to have to turn away people like we did
at The Webster Theater. The club has only had a few shows since they have started doing them
again and the turnouts have been weak so please tell everyone you know to show up and support
this Friday. Southern CT is in need of a good venue and if things start going well we'll be able to get
other big shows in there. Here is the info:

ITS BEEN WAY TO LONG SINCE AN UPDATE!!!
1/17/2003 7:45:00 AM
WHERE DO WE START?
Lets see, I guess first we should start by saying THANKYOU to all who made 2002 such a landmark
year for Hatebreed. Looking back its hard to believe all the places we have been and the people
we have met. Its just truly amazing. Sometimes its hard to think of ways to show everyone our
truest most sincere gratitude. Please know that your support means the world to us. When we
started this band never did we ever think we would make it this far. We owe it all to everyone who
has been supportive over the years and to everyone who believes in this band. All the best to you
& yours in 2003.
Now a little recap. When we left off last we had just finished touring New Zealand (which is
probably one of the most beautiful places on earth) & Japan w/ Converge. New Zealand was great
because it was our own headline tour and we did it DIY style in a van with our boy West Side Dave
who set up the shows for us. We played with all core bands. The scene is real strong there and
we'd heard good things from V.O.D., Shutdown & One King Down who had all toured there in the
past so we had to go check it out. I guess we didn't realize how insane the shows were gonna be.
Kids went off! We've been getting letters and emails from there since our 7"s came out in 96 & 97
so this tour was long overdue. Everyone made us feel real at home and we can't wait to comeback.
The scenery is amazing. The air is clean and the people are really supportive. Thanx NZ! Now to
Japan... Our first show was Beast Feast w/ Slayer in an arena with 8000 people going berserk. It
was surreal! Plus we had so many friends there! Shadows Fall, Anthrax, Soulfly & Killswitch Engage
to name a few. The last time we saw Howard from KSE was at The Hanover House in Meriden, CT
now we're both playing in Japan in an arena with Slayer!!! THAT WAS WEIRD! So anyway we
partied and had a blast at Beast Feast. The other 3 shows were in jam packed clubs with Converge
& cool local bands like Numb, TJ Maxx & Loyal To The Grave. It was insane to see & hear everyone
singing every word to every song in a place so far away where people barely speak English. Not to
mention people waiting in the hotel and at the train station just to take pictures and stuff. It was
nuts! After Japan we played one show in Honolulu Hawaii. It was the last day of our world tour and
boy was it a good show to end it on. The place was literally a warzone from start to finish. People
were going off the hook. We played like practically everything we had AND an encore (which we
never do). We will definitely be back! Thanx Hawaii!
After Hawaii we had a long flight home and 2 days off. Christmas Eve & Christmas. Then it was
time for Stillborn Fest. Dec. 26th was the day we left for tour in the end of 2001. We had toured
pretty much all year aside from our 3 weeks off back in October when we were supposed to do
another video (which we will be talking about in a minute). The first show was NYC at Roseland. It
was our first show on the East Coast since September and our first NY show since our sold out gig
at Irving Plaza in April. We knew it was going to be a good show (NYC always is) but what
happened that night was just astonishing. Over 3400 people came out! We've only ever been to
Roseland to see shows. We never thought we would play there let alone headline over Biohazard.
That was weird but at the same time it was an honor and a huge accomplishment. All 6 bands on
the bill that night had amazing responses. It feels great to give bands an opportunity to play. We
do it where & whenever we can but that night was special cause it showed a lot of people just how
strong the scene is and how many talented and hardworking bands are out there. Props to LIAV,
FBC, Sworn Enemy & E-Town for doing a great job. Next up was Philly. Over 2500 people. Our
second sold out show at The Electric Factory this year. What a night! Madball fucking played! They
are one of our favorite bands of all time and it had been ages since we shared the stage. It was one
of the best shows of the year no doubt. Philly will definitely get another Stillborn Fest this year!
Then it was on to good old freezing cold Cleveland. We did 2 stages so we could have 15 bands
play. It was a long night but it really didn't matter cause we had a blast hanging with Ringworm,
Subzero and everybody from out there. 1500 people showed up and the crowd was sick. We even
played Severed cause there was a dude holding up a "Severed" sign. Everyone just kept chanting
Hatebreed when we would finish the songs. We felt like Slayer! haha. After that was Pittsburgh,
we all felt like shit and were ready to go home at that point but the show was good. The crowd
really made up for the energy we lacked. We had no heat in the dressing room and noone slept
the night before so everyone was just sleeping on the floor freezing their balls off. We definitely
could have played better & longer but everyone has off nights. We owe you one Pittsburgh! That
night we made our way back home to CT. 9 hours in the van through the snow. Our gear truck
crashed but luckily our boys Bruce & Mikey B were OK. Some of the gear and merch got fucked up
but the made it to the show in the nick of time and everything went off OK. It was our last show
for 2002. We had so many old friends, family & fans in the house and it was a great night. Sold out
show. Our biggest headline show in CT ever. 1400 people jammed in the Webster Theater.
Drunken Idiots, Fights, Equipment problems just like the old days! No HATEBREED show would be
complete without em. WE LOVE YOU CT. We owe it all to you. Thanx for everything.
There is a lot going on. Here is a brief overview. We'll posting things daily for the next week or so,
so keep checking back!

Whats up everybody, We're in fuckin Australia! We played our first show in last night, it was
unbeleivable! The crowds here are fuckin sick! We did an instore during the day and over 200 kids
showed up. We met alot of cool people and the record store Skinny's has really been pushing
Perseverance since it came out which is awesome. We got to the show to find out that it was sold
out and there was going to be 1800 people there. A band called Karnivool opened up who were
cool. They sounded kinda like Deftones meets Sepultura. Then we hit the stage and the placed
exploded. We didn't really know what to expect but the whole floor was a pit and everyone knew
the words. Same for Soulfly, they tore the place apart. It took us back to when we toured with
them in 99. So many good memories. This looks like its going to be a great tour. Soulfly are good
friends and its amazing to be opening for them all the way across the earth. Tonight's show is in
Sidney, we flew in this morning. The flight was a madhouse, it was us, Soulfly and their crew on
one plane (over like 30 people) all being loud. Everyone is jet lagged so we'll prolly sleep til the gig.
I'm gonna try to get Matt & Sean to get the journal up to date. We've done so much in the last
couple of months its gonna take awhile to put up the best stuff thats happened. We're all really
looking forward to Beast Feast and Stillborn Fest!!! It's gonna be great to get back to the states
and play. Especially after the LA show. I can't imagine how NYC, Hartford, Philly, Pittsburgh &
Cleveland are gonna be. Thanx to everyone who got their tickets already. If you don't have tickets
yet don't sweat it. We're pretty sure their will be tickets available at the door at all the shows. All
the venues are pretty big but if your traveling from far away I suggest you get your tickets in
advance. We're gonna have a bunch of new merch made up and we might even play 1 new song
but we're not sure. After Stillborn fest we're taking 2 months off to do some demos and to
hopefully do another video like we were supposed to do back in Oct. We'll keep you posted. Thanx
for all of your support and keep checking back with us.
Sorry for the lack of updates. Hatebreed has reported in and the European tour is going great!
Some of the shows have been completely insane! So far they say that Greece, Belgium, The UK,
Italy and East Germany have been the best shows. Hatebreedtour.com will be updated soon and
hopefully Matt or Jamey will get some new stuff in the journal here. Hatebreedstore.com has been
updated so go get your friends and family some Hatebreed merch for X-mas!!! Also, please keep
requesting the Hatebreed video the link is on Hatebreedtour.com and last but not least all you
West Coast folks don`t forget Hatebreed is playing 12/3 in Los Angeles, CA @ The Palace. THIS IS
THEIR ONLY WEST COAST SHOW! Dont miss out! They can´t wait to come back to the states so
please go welcome them home! more soon

Ozzfest set times have changed slightly. Hatebreed now plays at 2:40 everyday so get there early
as to NOT miss them. Just look what CMJ had to say about Hatebreed's set at the Philly Ozzfest.
A total of 21 bands performed at Ozzfest's Camden stop, but it was Connecticut's metalcore
heroes Hatebreed who nabbed the biggest crowd reaction of the entire day. The level of energy
and excitement that surged through the venue during Hatebreed's set was unmatched for the rest
of the day. Obviously a result of his band's endless tour schedule, vocalist Jamey Jasta has
developed into one of the most inspirational frontmen in heavy music. Between songs, he worked
the audience like a seasoned pro, asking them to form one giant swirling mosh pit and to "make
this a show you'll never forget." The crowd responded with large, punishing pits that sent Adema
fans scrambling like pigs in a slaughterhouse. By the time its set was over, it was clear that
Hatebreed should really be headlining on the main stage.
After you catch the Hatebreed set please go by the FYE tent and say hello to the band they will be
hanging out there at approximately 3:30/4:00 everyday and if you don't have "Perseverance" yet
go get it from the FYE tent at Ozzfest it comes with a Hatebreed DVD.

East Coast Romper reviews
5/8/2002 12:18:00 PM
Our shows in California were awesome! We started in Anaheim @ Chain Reaction. What an
awesome show. Small club, sold out! Completely packed wall to wall. People were going off and
singing every word! It was great to play a small show and help out some local bands. Thanx to
Scars Of Tomorrow, Forever I Rise & Concrete for playing and helping spread the word. Sorry to
anyone who couldn't get in. We'll be back on an off day from Ozzfest! From there we went to
meet up with Metal Gods SLAYER. We showed up and found out that it was a 21+ show. So that
was a bum out and then the club took 3 hours to get everybody into the show so alot of people
missed us. Oh well, we will definitely come back and headline an all ages show on an off day from
Ozzfest. Next up were two sold out shows at the Grove in Anaheim. Both days were fun as hell.
We had a great time and got to see alot of friends. The crowds were great to us and we look
forward to coming back. We did alot of other cool stuff while we were in Cali. Go to the journal
page to find out more! After that it was off to Pheonix for a headline show with our friends in
Ignite, Throwdown & Gat Rot. This show was sick! Every band had insane pits & sing a longs and
the crowd was amazing! We jammed over 600 people into the Bash On Ash! People were diving
off the PA, falling in between the barrier and the stage & there were a bunch of fights but all in all
it was a blast! Thanx to everybody who came out! More on the shows soon...
SADLY TO SAY...
Lou "Boulder" Richards has left the band. We had some of the best times of our lives and things
have been going really well but his heart just wasn't in it anymore and we totally understand &
support his decision to move on with his life. He had 6 great years with us and we feel that he is
unreplaceable so we will remain a 4 peice. We wish him the best.
IN OTHER NEWS.

In other news, Hatebreed fell to the #102 spot this week on the billboard top 200 but its all good!

up! If you haven't gotten it yet, please go out and get it though and help us spread the word. Help
us get back in the top 100! Thanx everybody!
We've been seeing some great reviews for "PERSEVERANCE" Kerrang gave it 4 out of 5 K's and
there are a whole bunch of others that are already calling is the metal/hardcore album of the year
(see press section) If you've seen some good reviews and want it posted in our press section
please email hatebreedinfo@aol.com
On another note we've been told there are still a few copies of the bonus track version at Best
Buy! (Supposedly in Tampa, Houston, San Antonio & Dallas) We have also been told that a few
select indie retailers still have the bonus DVD's available for FREE with the purchase of
"Perseverance". Namely, Vintage Vinyl in Jersey & Looney Tunes on Long Island.
As far as the road goes, things keep getting better & better. We can't wait to meet back up with
Slayer and we have a slew of new dates that have been added so be sure to check
WWW.HATEBREEDTOUR.COM for all of the info and bookmark it. Don't even bother looking at the
tour page on this site because we can't gaurantee that the info will be correct but anyways, the
shows that we've played since Houston have been mind boggling. Dallas was a pretty cool show
despite the fact that there were alot of fights and the kids seemed to be pretty bummed on the
bouncers. Hopefully our show with Slayer there will be better. After that was San Antonio which
was completely insane! I swear there was more people than when we played there with Sepultura
there. It was amazing. You could barely hear the band over everyone singing along and screaming
there was definitely a couple of spots during the show where the whole crowd was a pit! There
was even a Hatebreed chant during the set! Unbelievable. Thankyou so much everyone, San
Antonio will definitely go down as one of the best shows of this tour. After that we had a much
needed day off in New Orleans. We ate well & rested. From there we headed over to good ole
Tallahassee, FL. This was a smaller show (only about 150 people) We did an extra long set, it was
definitely a good time. Thanx to everyone who showed up. We will be back this summer. Next up
was South Florida! One of our favorite places to play. It was at a pretty big club called Ovation.
Over 600 kids on a thursday night! We got to see alot of old friends and we had our boys Vietnom
on the bill too. It was a great show and we had a blast it seemed like everyone came out of the
woodwork for that show. Thanx people! We're playing there again with Slayer in May Its gonna be
nuts, see ya there! After that we headed up to St. Pete for a SOLD OUT SHOW at the State Theater.
The Tampa area has always treated us well but this one took the cake. The singalongs were
awesome, the pit was insane. Everyone was going nuts to the new stuff, and there werent any
fights. We couldn't have had a better time. We even played "Condemned Until Rebirth". Beattie
even went deep sea fishing during the day and caught us all dinner. When we finished eating we
started making our way towards the House Of Blues in Orlando. We knew this show would be a
standout but all of our expectations were blown away. Not only was there over 900 people in
attendance, every band got a great response and everyone there seemed to be having a great
time. Thanx to the Autumn Offering for opening the show. They had a great set and started the
night off in a positive fashion. To end the weekend was Jacksonville, FL. We had only been there
once before but this time around was way better. Evergreen Terrace played as well and they
rocked the house. Thanx to the Marquee for having us back and thanx to everyone for coming out.
More soon....
Yes folks, its true. Hatebreed will co-headline the second stage this year w/ Down. More soon....
Thank you to everyone who has already gone out to get our new CD! You've helped us sell over
28,000 copies in the first week and landed us at #50 on the billboard charts. THIS IS HUGE! We
can't thank all of you enough! If you haven't gotten it yet, PLEASE GO GET IT! If the stores are out,
please tell them to re-order! Thanx to everyone who has been coming to the shows! DC was off
the hook! We went to XM Radio during the day and played a bunch of music on their metal show.
If you don't have XM yet sign up! Thanx to Taz & Ward for having us. After that we headed back to
the 9:30 club. It was a great show. If felt great to have 700 kids going crazy on Easter Sunday. Next
up was Richmond. It was pure insanity. 4 people dove off the balcony. Luckily noone was seriously
injured. Hopefully we'll be allowed back. Either way it was great to get back to RVA. Thanx to
Down To Nothing for opening the show and to everyone who was there wreckin shit with us. After
that we headed down to good ole Winston-Salem, NC for a show with our friends in Bloodjinn &
Aria. Needless to say it was awesome. All the bands got a great reaction and it was our highest
attended headline show in WC ever! Other than a couple of fights, we had a positive vibe going
and an all around good time. We actually got to play "Healing To Suffer Again" which was cool.
Thanx to Big Dave from 533 and everyone who helped make the show a success. Also, very special
thanx to the 4 Marines Kyle Ostrander, Brett Pollock, Tom Henebery & Nick Staples who drove all
the way up from Ft. Lejune to see us as their last show before they head off to the Middle East.
Our prayers will be with you guys. Make it home safe! On another note, we are told there are still
copies of "Perseverance" with the bonus track available at Best Buy not many but some. As for the
cds that came with the DVD, those were only available at select indie stores in limited quantities.
Its only a 3 song live DVD with footage from our west coast tour. Its NOT our home video/dvd that
we have been filming for the last 4 years. That DVD we are hoping to have out by X-mas. We'll
keep you posted...
We have a winner!
4/1/2002 2:54:00 PM
Congratulations go out to Pete A of Elmendorf, TX, the winner of the DVD Player and Hatebreed
promo DVD we gave away to celebrate the launch of the new Hatebreed site.
We just got in from the WCCC Rock Expo. It was insane! Crazier than Ozzfest? If you were there let
us know by posting on the messageboard about it. At one point the whole floor was a 5000 person
pit. That's all we have to say. Unbelievable! We love you CT! Thanx so much for the support over
the years and thanx to Steven Wayne & Moe & Raychul & everyone from WCCC!!! We also just did
shows at the EL N Gee (New London), L'amour (Brooklyn) & Birch Hill (Jersey) and they were
fantastic. Very special thanx to everyone who came to show their support at our instores too!
Loony Tunes & Vintage Vinyl were great to us and we had a great time! Keep checking the journal
page & hatebreedtour.com for more news & info about tour and GO OUT AND GET OUR NEW CD
"PERSEVERANCE" IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY! We know Celine Dion is gonna be ruling the billboard
charts but you still have time to help us get into the top 40! GO GET THE CD! Happy
Easter/Passover everybody.
Sorry people. Our SOLD OUT show at the Middle East on this Saturday 3/30 has been canceled due
to security/insurance issues. All tickets will be refunded. We will now make the show on 4/20 @
Worcester Palladium our CD Release Show for Mass. Please come & support. Get your tix & info @
www.massconcerts.com
Once again our deepest apologies to all of friends & fans in the Boston area. We were really
looking forward to that show. See ya on 4/20!
The wait is over! March 26th has come & gone....
3/27/2002 6:22:00 AM
"Perseverance" IS OUT!!! GO GET IT! Thanx to everyone who came out to the FYE in-store in
Milford. We had a good time and we're actually surprised by the amount of people who showed
up to support us. We've had tons of emails already from people who got the record and love it and
it feels great. We can't thank all of you enough! We're really looking forward to this tour and we
hope to see all of you out at the shows!
It's been almost over 3 weeks since we gave you an update from the road. The "Perseverance"
2002 Tour was a huge success. Our West Coast shows were phenomenal. Sacto, San Fran, Ventura,
LA, Pomona & San Diego were just amazing. To have played completely packed shows with
everyone singing along and going nuts was a dream come true to us. It had been so long since we
headlined out west. Thanx to everyone who made it a wonderful time. We can't wait to come back
w/ Slayer! Also, we are headlining Chain Reaction in Anaheim on April 29th so check it out! More
info is available at www.hatebreedtour.com OK, back to the tour. The last week of shows were
really cool. Lubbock, TX rocked! Tulsa Oklahoma was amazing! We had no idea 500 people would
show up and go beserk! You people rock we will definitely be back. After that was Columbia, MO.
yet another great show. It was great to see how many people drove from far away to support us
and thanx to NWBD for opening the show. Next up was Ft. Wayne, IN. Such a good show! Thanx to
Sarin for playing and spreading the word. Thanx to Picasso's for having us and for doing an all ages
show. Last show was Rochester. What a way to end a tour. It was our last show on a 4 year tour
cycle and it would be our last show until Perseverance hit the streets. It was a blast none the less!
We were all anxious to get home but from the first note onward it was choas. I could not believe
the reaction "I will be heard" got. At one point you could barely hear the band onstage above
everyone singing along. It was definitely a sign of whats to come. It was so good to see all our of
friends from Buffalo, Syracuse and all over upstate show up too. Thanx to Artie & Water Street for
having us and very special thanx to Brock & Inherence for playing, promoting the hell out of the
show and hyping up the release of our record. You guys rule! Thats all for now. Keep checking up
on us and check the journal section too!

The ''Perseverance 2002'' Tour has begun. The first week of shows were awesome! There was over
1000 people in Chicago at the Metro. I swear at one point the whole floor was a pit! Then we had
a SOLD OUT show in Indianapolis at The Emerson Theater. This was our biggest and best show in
Indy ever! Thanx to everyone who was there. Especially Harakiri for opening. After that we made
the long haul through the snow to Omaha, Nebraska for what was one of our biggest shows we
have ever done there! Over 500 kids! Thanx Omaha! The show was great and we had a blast. From
there we had another long ass drive to Denver, CO. Another amazing show. We had over 600
people at the Odgen and all the bands had a great reaction. Thanx to Fallen Altar for opening the
show. Next up was Ft. Collins, CO. It was a smaller show, only about 200 kids but we have played
the Starlight before and this was definitely the best time we've had there. It was fun as hell and
everybody seemed to really enjoy themselves. Our friends from Reach The Sky came to visit us on
their day off so that was cool too. Then tonight we played a show in Salt Lake City. It was insanity.
Fights everywhere. The club shut the show down which sucked. Hopefully we'll be let back. If you
haven't already come to a show you HAVE to make it out! Check the tour schedule for dates. Only
3 weeks til our CD hits stores! Tell everyone you know about it! It has already been called our best
material to date and the reviews and feedback have been amazing. The album will be available
everywhere but PLEASE make sure ALL record stores near you are stocking it. If they don't have it
tell them to order it! Also, we're going out with Slayer again! We'll have dates posted soon! Take
care everybody.
