Introduction
Germs are everywhere and people are indeed exposed to these harmful, microscopic
organisms every day of their lives especially during summer when temperatures which record
high allowing sickness and heat-caused disease get in the way. People usually used
commercially produced products to clean their kitchen, and eating utensils, yet the possible
effects of such products on their health, considering the contain a lot of chemicals are unclear to
them.
The increasingly high prices of goods and products are arising in our society nowadays.
A lot of people are concerned on using cheaper commodities for their daily needs. That’s why
we, the researchers come up with a problem concerning antioxidants, this thing neutralizes free
radicals. Antioxidants are added to metals, oils, foodstuffs, and other materials to prevent free
radical damage. It can also be found in some foods, particularly, fruits and vegetables.
The researchers found out that freed- dried peel oranges has the highest antioxidant
property, which is a great idea about including this citrus fruit in eco-cleaning supplies. Orange
(Citrus reticuluta) is the most commonly grown fruit in the world. Cucumber (Cucumis sativus)
can also be used as cleaning agent because it can use to shine up your faucets and sinks. It
won’t leave streaks. And just like the two cleaning agents that was mentioned, Papaya (Carica
The researchers observed that some people cannot afford this item. For this reason,
relevant in terms of the cleanliness of kitchen and eating utensils people often use and that has
a least amount of chemical in comparison to any cleaning agents available in the market today.

Significance of the study
No matter how good, delicious and healthy one’s food is, if her/ his kitchen and eating
utensils are as bad as it can get dirty, then it cannot be told that she/he is eating right away.
Cleanliness is important most especially when it comes to the things we use that involves
putting it on and in our body. At times, we clean these things using products which have
Through this study, one would be aware of the potential of otherwise be thrown away
like peels of materials such and other oranges, papaya, cucumber, and importance of using
organic products in cleaning utensils and other things. It would create a mean for those people
who stay in their house for long hour every day to make use of their time and come up and
develop useful products out of nothing. It would also benefit those hygiene-meticulous people
and environmentalists as this study aims at producing all natural cleaning agent.
Moreover, this study will promoting awareness on the significance of recycling materials

The research focused mainly on the development of cleaning agent made out of OrCuPa
and its capability of cleaning kitchen and eating utensils. The center of the interest of the study
is on how to make a cleaning agent out or OrCuPa to recognize the proper procedure of making
the product. This research is only limited to study the cleaning and shining ability of the OrCuPa
as cleaning agent

Definition of Terms
1. Cleaning agents- are substances used to remove dirt, including dust, stains, bad
of enzymes that break the long chainlike molecules of proteins into shorter fragments
3. Meticulous- very careful about doing something in an extremely accurate and exact
way
7. Free radicals- are unstable molecules that can damage the cells in your body
Chapter II:
The review on the study focuses on the history of cleaning agents and the cleaning
benefits of the following fruits: Orange, Cucumber, and Papaya primarily the uses of their peels.
Some of the earliest tools ever made by humans were for the house cleaning. Primitive
forms of brooms and brushes were made by the Mesopotamians to remove dirt from floors and
other surfaces in the home. Sea sponger were used for cleaning as well as the modern
Our time this primitive tools were adopted to become more effective and new tools were
invented to make house cleaning easier and more convenient. With the industrial revolution and
A list of the benefits of orange peels. Orange peels have flavonoids that help prevent
lung cancer. Moreover, this flavonoids also helps vitamin C, which is an important antioxidant
vitamin, to prevent skin cancer. Orange peels also have polymetoxyflavones and liminoid that
may stop or prevent not just lung cancer, but cancer in other organs as well. In addition to that,
in 2000, a study a the Arizona Cancer Center, found out that d-limonene in orange peels
lessened the risk of deadly type of skin cancer called squamous cell carcinoma. Flavones in
orange peels help lower cholesterol levels. Furthermore, oranges peels have been used in the
nicotine gum developed by the University of Yonsei’s College of Medicine which helps
breakdown and remove nicotine from the body. The orange peel is a good source of pectin
which helps diminished an over-active appetite and lowers blood sugar that rise after a meal.
The cucumber is a member of the cucurbitaceae family, along with squash and different
kinds of melon. Cucumbers are high in water and low in calories, fat, cholesterol, and sodium.
They have a mild, refreshing taste and high water content. They can be refreshing and pleasant
to eat in hot weather and help dehydration. It is eaten savory, but it is strictly a fruit. Cucumbers
have been grown in India for food and medicinal purposes since ancient times, and they have
long been part of the Mediterranean diet. Cucumber also features in a number of beauty
products. Some people use Cucumber to soothe sunburn. Early research shows that a
compound found in cucumbers might help fight cancer. Cucumbers contain lignan, which may
help fight cardiovascular disease. Cucumber is a versatile food that can be added to a variety of
dishes. Researchers have concluded that cucumbers may help control and prevent diabetes.
Papaya is a great source of dietary fiber. This nutrient absorbs toxins in the colon that
can cause cancer and eliminates them from the body through bowel movements. Fibers from
fruit and vegetables like papaya can nourish the beneficial communities of microorganisms
within your body. Due to its rich fiber content, papaya aids digestion and imparts a beautiful
glow to your skin from its enzymes. Papaya can improve your complexion courtesy of the active
enzymes present in it, like papain, it helps reduce pigmentation and controls acne breakouts
The cleaning agent made out of OrCuPa peelings can help the consumers have an
alternative substitute for commercials cleaning agents. However, it will consider the preferences
Chapter III:
Methodology
Research Design
The study make use of experimental design, specifically the two – group design, wherein
the experimental set – up is the OrCuPa and the control set - up is the standard or the
commercially available cleaning agent and which uses antioxidant from the chosen fruit.
Materials
The following materials will be used in the conduct of the study: Orange, Cucumber, and
Papaya fruits together with its peelings, 1 cup , clean handkerchief or strainer, grater, and,
peeler.
Procedure
First, you need to gather all the materials that will be needed in the experiment. Second,
you need to wash all the fruits. Third, peel the fruits then, get a cup and measure the peelings of
each fruit, make sure that it is exactly measured. Fourth, you need to prepare the grater so that
we can rub the peeling of each fruit on it. Lastly, when it is grinned, get a strainer or
handkerchief so that we can easily get the juice of the 3- combined fruits.
