SECTION V-FIRE AND EXPLOSION DATA

DARAGRIT is a non-flammable and non-explosive solid.

Rev. 1 Date: August 2006 Page 2 of 3

SECTION VI-REACTIVITY DATA

DARAGRIT is inert and stable under normal conditions of use, transportation, storage and after-
use disposal. There is not any known incompatibility with other material that could cause reac-
tion phenomena. Polymerization is not possible due to the nature of the material.

SECTION VII-HEALTH HAZARD DATA

DARAGRIT presents low health risk by inhalation. Treat as nuisance dust. Typical crystalline
(free) silica content is less than 0.1%. Human toxic response has not been demonstrated for any
route of entry. Chemical irritation may occur to eyes or respiratory track.

Carcinogenicity NTP: No
IARC Monographs: No
OSHA Regulated: No
Teratogenic: No
Mutagenic: No

Exposure limits (ACGIH 1996) TLV-TWA 5 mg/ m3

(respirable dust)
TLV-STEL 10 mg/ m3
(respirable dust)
TLV-TWA 10 mg/ m3
(total dust)

FIRST AID

In case of: Action

1. Eye contact: Flush eyes thoroughly with water.

2. Skin contact: Wash skin with soap and water if irritation occurs.
3. Inhalation: Remove affected person(s) to fresh air source.
4. Oral intake: Rinse mouth out with water.

If symptoms persist, contact a physician or other medical personnel.

SECTION VIII- SPILL, LEAK AND DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS

DARAGRIT requires no special procedure for clean up. Wetting with plain water is recommend-
ed to reduce airborne dust. Sweep or vacuum material for disposal. Uncontaminated product does
not exhibit any toxicity and may be disposed of as inert material in an appropriate solid waste
landfill according to the applicable regulations.

SECTION IX- INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRANSPORTATION

DARAGRIT requires no special procedure for transportation. It can be transported in bulk, in

small or big bags. Follow good housekeeping practices to reduce airborne emissions. A release
will pose a housekeeping problem. Material should be swept or vacuumed into appropriate con-
tainers.

SECTION X- SAFETY & HYGENE AT WORK

Use material only for the purposes intended and incorporate methods of dust control to maintain
airborne dust within local TLV limits. Use appropriate NIOSH certified respiratory protection
when exposure limits may be exceeded. Maintain sufficient ventilation to allow visual contact
with work surface. Appropriate abrasive blaster’s protective equipment is required, which may
also include gloves, hood with protective lens, safety glasses, and hearing protection and appro-
priate clothing (leather or equivalent).
