Sub : JUSTIFICATION LETTER

Dear Visa Officer,

Earlier I have applied for study permit for Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain
Management in Lambton College, Canada. But unfortunately it was refused citing some reasons
(File No: S301650031). I eventually applied for CAIPS report to understand where my
application went wrong.

After getting the CAIPS report, I have realized that Low scores, few backlogs in my under
graduation, Weak IELTS score and Lack of Employment Proof could have been the reason for
this refusal and accordingly it may be possible that Visa Officers may not found me eligible for
the particular course, so this time I have opted for Masters in Business Administration
(MBA) from NYIT, Vancouver.

Though, I cannot undo the backlogs of my previous academics, but at the same time, I cannot
even refrain myself from pursuing my studies by making a re-application for study permit with
all the best reasons what I have to draw your attention to.

I would like to draw your attention to the below details which might prove my candidature to
pursue a course Master in Business Administration (MBA) from NYIT, Vancouver.

Introduction:-

I, Rohit Bhardwaj having an admit from NYIT, Vancouver, Canada for Masters in Business
Administration for May 2017, batch. I am re-applying now with justification to the concerns
raised by the respected Visa Officers according to the GCM notes as follows:-

Reason of Rejection:-
As stated clearly in my CAIPS notes that I have low scores and repeat of exams so that’s why
visa officer was not convinced with my proposed reason of studying in Canada. Also,
insufficient proof of Employment and Low IELTS score. So, this time you are requested once
again to review my documents which I have already submitted to you.
Justification for Rejection:-

1. Low Academic Scores:-

My sincere attempt is to draw the attention of the visa officer that I had full commitment towards
my studies. As a student who is academically oriented, I knew I needed to sit tight in order to
improve my performance with my gained abilities because of these commitments and abilities
my result went up from 62% in 2nd year and 70% in 3rd year and in the end I scored 69 % in
Bachelor of Business Administration, which is considered as first division in my university.
And scored 75% and above in the major Subjects like Production & Operations Management,
Management Information System, Human Resource Management and Business Organization.

2. Backlog and Performance in Main subjects during Undergraduate Studies:-

I pursued my Bachelor degree from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi (India).
However, I cleared these subjects in not more than 2 attempts during my graduation.

And you might notice that I had good scores in my core subjects like Production & Operations
Management, Management Information System, Human Resource Management and Business
Organization which also reflects my dedication towards my studies. And most importantly I
scored 88% in Summer Training Report & Viva during my 5 th semester and 91% in the
comprehensive viva and Project report of my entire 3 years, this may draw your attention as
it reflects my overall knowledge of Business Administration which was because of improved
performance, commitment and abilities.

Due to my Good performance in Bachelors, I have been approved for 12 credit waivers (8
courses) in NYIT.

I believe the past failures which I successfully managed to cover after realizing though a little
late should not deter me in pursuing my future studies as the world is facing enormous number
of new challenges which are thrown out by rapid development in Business and Administration
which I observed while working as a Purchasing Executive and for this reason I decided to do
Masters in Business Administration to further excel in Business Administration so that I’m
prepared to solve the future management problems.

I had 3 backlogs during my entire graduation. One in Second semester which I cleared in First
attempt and scored 71 marks and Two backlogs during First Semester and I cleared these
subjects in not more than 2 attempts with 71 and 93 marks respectively during my graduation.

3. Weak IELTS score:-

I sat for IELTS test; I scored an overall band of 6.0 which comprises of band scores: 6.5 in
Listening, 5.5 in reading, 6.0 in speaking and 6.5 in writing. I have also cleared my English
exam in +2 with 74 marks. And 82 marks in Personality Development & Communication
Skills (Minor Project Report) during my 3rd Semester in Graduation.

4. Lack of Employment Proof:-

Earlier; when I applied for the student visa, I have provided my Letter of Appointment,
Promotion Letter, 3 month Salary Slips and Experience letter. So, the visa officer was not
convinced with my Employment documents.

So, this time I am providing Bonafide employee letter on Company letterhead, 2 year ITR (2015-
2016) and (2016-2017), 5 month Salary Slips and TIN Confirmation Letter.

Academic Background:-

I took commerce with information practice in 12th standard from Adarsh Public School,
Vikaspuri affiliated to CBSE. After completing senior secondary in 2010, I did my Bachelors in
Business Administration from MAHARAJA SURAJMAL INSTITUTE affiliated from GURU
GOBIND SINGH INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY, Delhi from 2010-2013 and scored
69.07% (First Division). Through this program, I acquired a general introduction and
knowledge of many aspects related to management including Marketing, Organisation and
Management, Production and Operation Management, Industrial Relations, Labour Legislation,
Human Resource Management, Finance and Accounting.

A coin has two faces. Similarly in my view, I feel that extracurricular activities are as important
as studies in estimating a person's overall capacity. In addition to my work in classroom. I was
an active member in the college fest committee, where I got the chance to organize the co-
curricular and sports events. These activities also provided me with an opportunity to develop
my leadership and teamwork skills so that I may become a well-rounded professional.

I have gained a lot of theoretical knowledge from the well designed syllabi which has given me
more exposure and comprehension of the core areas of Management and Administration. Course
modules covered in my bachelors revealed to me limitless horizons in the field of Business
Administration to face and tackle with challenges more technically and can handle the situation
professionally. My undergraduate study was a richly rewarding experience, during which I have
participated in various Projects.

As per the requirements of the institute, I was also exposed to the needs of the organizations and
how any Organization’s needs are met through a series of well orchestrated lectures by eminent
people who are leaders in their field and working on different projects as part of the course
requirement. This course has helped me build a strong foundation in Management and laid the
necessary groundwork for pursuing Master studies. It ultimately provided me with useful insight
into the principles, processes, stages and considerations required in the field of Management.

Additionally I would like to draw your attention to:-

Work Experience Details:-

After completing my graduation, I got the opportunity to work with SHARMA PACKAGING
where I joined on a probation period for 6 months as a Purchasing Executive Trainee and
started working from 15th January 2014 and after working for 6 months management of the
company find my work satisfactory and company confirmed my position as Purchasing
Executive on 15th June 2014 further after working for 1 year management of the company
promoted me to Senior Purchasing Executive on 6th June 2015 where my job responsibilities
are to maintain orders and purchase requisitions to order materials, goods and supplies, to send
them to the suppliers, to review inventories and order as required, to interact with the suppliers
on a day to day basis, to review deliveries against the orders, to track the status of any orders, to
deal with non supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods, to ensure that any
invoices are sent to accounts for payment, to produce and maintain all reports, to manage any
procurement activities including RFP’s (Request For Proposals).

This experience has added more fragments to my knowledge, but it seems very small as
compared to the flourishing world. Business Administration by itself has a vast number
of subjects and since I want an in depth understanding in Management world, mastering it
becomes an obvious compulsion. A Masters Degree in Business Administration would allow me
to dig deeper into individual aspects of Management and gain practical experience.

Why I am Returning to this Course?

After working for more than 2 years; I realized that I am lacking with the professional education
in the Management as for the challenges of a successful future career, it is essential that I
combine my work experience with further professional education in Business Administration.
Masters in Business Administration will give me a unique competitive advantage because of
international standards. The Masters in Business Administration from NYIT, Vancouver, Canada
is therefore ideal for my professional strength and goals. I am applying for my chosen course
because I feel this course will help me into my career path, and also because I believe it will
challenge and stimulate me, and help me to reach my potential. I want to develop not only as a
student but as an individual. As Management is a growing field so I don't want to lose any
opportunity for my successful career. I want to rise above and beyond and achieve things I
always wished.

Details about Proposed Course of Study Masters in Business Administration:-

While working with some extra ordinary minds, I felt that something is missing in my excellence
and finally I figured out that along with Management and Strategic skills are also very important
which could be opted by studying this concept deeply and I should attain that. This particular
course that I have targeted will help me to build a successful and accomplished career in
corporate world. Along with this my specialization in Management field will also prove as a
cherry on cake for this course. According to a saying in business world “Trying to manage a
Business without proper management is like trying to play a football game without a game plan”.
I believe MBA is not just a degree but a platform to learn many a tips and tricks and also to
generate ideas with structured thoughts to go about it. As I wanted to be a strong independent
person I believed this could be another step that I could take for my overall development. The
person who has undertaken MBA study has a good level of understanding of the 'big picture' and
has obtained the skills, which will enable them to manage in the ever changing, complex
environment. Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees provides with the knowledge of
how people and processes operate within organizations and the wider environment affecting
those organizations. I want to be encouraged to develop strong analytical skills which can be
applied to organizational problems and issues as they arise and to help them anticipate and
prepare for future action and growth.

is much more challenging and will allow me to develop my abilities further. I already have a
strong background in various aspects of business from my practical work experience of over 2
years ranging from Purchasing Executive to management. Because of this, I feel I am uniquely
qualified to attend your MBA program. The MBA program at NYIT is a specialized program
which will provide with multi-skilled tools required in the ever challenged field of International
Exposure. I feel that a MBA in NYIT, Canada, will be the most logical extension of my
academic pursuits and a major step towards achieving my objectives.

Course Content:-

The “Masters in Business Administration” course offered captivates me the most as it contains
the subjects like Accounting, Principles of Economics, Principles of Management, Management
Information Systems, Introduction to Marketing, Business Statistics, Production and Operations
Management and Business Policy and Strategy which matches my interest. Learning from
esteem faculty and being guided under excellent mentors, would materialize my aim into a full
– fledged venture. Joining NYIT would help me to fulfill my ambition of becoming a master of
my trade.

My education has provided me with an excellent introduction to Business and has sparked my

interest in the management field. Taking into consideration my foundation and my

Canadian education System combines the modernity with the best elements of tradition. I would
be honored if I get to complete my higher education in this prestigious country, which is
recognized worldwide. Canada has always been the world leader in technology and without
question it is the motherland of Engineering. Canada avails the advantages of securing the best
knowledge, quality of education and above all the international exposure.

As well as Canada is a multicultural and crime free country. According to BCC Canada is one
the most peaceful and preferred countries to live in. The main reason for international student’s
center of attraction for Canada is all the universities and colleges are public and they serve them
with high standards of education. In field of innovative technology this country always remains
on forefront.

Financial Abilities:-

CAD $2,700 of fee and CAD $10,000 as GIC amount has been paid.
Besides having funding that will cover all my expenses for 1 year.

Also, my parent’s assets are worth Rs. 70,00,000/- i.e CAD $ 1,34,615 (Rupees Seventy Lakhs
Only) in the form of personal house and my father and sister has an annual income of Rs.
7,00,000/- i.e CAD $13,725 (Rupees Seven Lakhs only). I have also attached a sworn affidavit
by my sister and father confirming their sponsorship and support for my education in Canada.

With the above mentioned financials in place I believe I have required funds to cover my
tuition, living expenses and also to meet unforeseen expenses that might arise.

Future Prospects and Plans:-

In India, management skills along with interpersonal skills are given the highest priority by key
Management companies. It’s important for them to recruit a person who’s multi-faceted. My
study from Canada will equip me with the best skills possible that are necessary to work not only
in India but worldwide.

India is one the fastest growing countries of world and is the center of attraction for many
MNC’s to set up and expand their businesses in. Every sector is expanding very rapidly like
Business Sector, Finance Sector etc. As a result India is becoming an ocean of opportunities for
well qualified professionals.

After completing my course from Canada and having an international degree in my hand I will
be on a heap of opportunities. I wish to come back to India and work with leading companies
like Pepsico, P&G, Dell, Samsung, Amazon and many more as a Business Consultant,
Business Development Manager, Marketing Manager etc where I can implement my
learned knowledge more effectively and pragmatically which I will gain while pursuing my
course Masters.

I can assure you that given a chance I shall strive to live up to the expectations and perform to
the best of my abilities. Finally I take this opportunity to thank you for enabling to express
myself.

Summarizing all written above, I believe that my serious intention for study, work experience
and strong academic background in various areas of Business Administration and Management
will be beneficial for my further studies. Attending your prestigious institution would give me an
opportunity to receive high-level education under the guidance of prominent professors and
excellent teachers.

Conclusion:-

Taking all the circumstances into consideration, I came to the conclusion, that the best
opportunity to pursue my study from NYIT would be to continue my education as a graduate
student. The facilities, practical exposure, and traditions of the college, combined with the
caliber of the student’s body, make me confident that I will be stimulated throughout the course
of my studies. Upon graduating from your program, a variety of options are available for
pursuing my objectives.

This will indeed show my deep knowledge of Management concepts and to be a blessing to
younger generations who have passion for Business.

With above said justification I hope I have shown my real side of commitments, abilities and
knowledge for which I believe my study permit application will be able draw your positive
attention.
